On this occasion I went for the aloo chap as my starter and the achari lamb for my main, accompanied by plenty of naan bread, rice and Cobra beer :) Great spot for a little get together, they don't rush you out the door plus we got a Bailey's each to finish it off, sweeeeet!!

They do an epic early bird on weeknights which will set you back a paltry €15.95 for two courses and a coffee afterwards and they often throw in a free digestif on top of this... a Bailey's or the like - consider me sold haha! Their Butter Chicken is the best I've had and they give you plenty of delicious naan bread to sop up all the delectable sauce. The atmosphere is always very relaxed and the service is very personable (though it can be a little slow). Maybe it's because I love an underdog but this would be my first choice for local Indian food - it has never disappointed.

I am kind of a whimp when food is too spicy. This dish was delish! I chose off the "special" menu for dinner that is available until 7pm. It comes with a main course and an appetizer for about 20 euro (I don't quite remember because my boss paid as it was a business dinner). Everything tasted freshly prepared. If you like lamb, there are also some excellent offerings as well. I also cannot neglect to mention the bread. The naan comes to the table piping hot to complement the meal. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend if you are in the Dublin area and want Indian food.

Do Not Underestimate Their Vindaloo #HOTHOT…read more This place over the years have changed their name a few times but what hasn't changed is the awesome deliciousness of their food. I've sampled plenty of the starter dishes and for mains have tried quite a few options over from the beef or chicken jalrezi, tikka masala, korma oh and let's not forge their vindaloo (buyer's beware it is as hot as they come), all dishes have been amazing. My fave, go to main meal is now the chicken tikka masala has enough of everything, packed with flavour and doesn't make me cry like the vindaloo! Also, little tip for you... order the garlic Naan! It's worth the buck and then some. I've often ordered from them when having guests over so whether it be a small order for 2 or larger group they've got you covered. The delivery service is always prompt, never had any issues here and the once time they had a long delivery timeframe they made it know over the phone when I placed the order to make sure I was ok with the wait... Being an American I've heard plenty about how South Asian cuisine is better across the pond. Being…read morea fan of Asian food in general I was determined to try Indian cuisine at least once during my trip. Considering how expensive it is to eat in Dublin and considering how close this was to my hotel I had this twice and was impressed with my food both times! The restaurant space is quite small to eat in and most of their orders are for takeaway. The plastic containers used for takeaway is quite sturdy and I'd be reusing them again if I was a local. Service was great. They threw in a single piece of veggie samosa for good measure as a typical order comes in a set of 3. They even put in a little chutney sauce for dipping. There's plenty of potato and some peas in the samosa. I ordered one chicken and one lamb dish. I love spicy curries so I ordered the curries that come naturally spicy. The curries are made to order so expect at least a 10 minute wait while they cook your dish. - Chicken Madras (Curry from southern coast of India cooked with fresh coconut and curry leaves, €10.50). Madras is a British interpretation of curry found in South India. It is red due to the chili powder and there's usually a "milk" base to it, similar to Thai curries. The chicken pieces are big and there's plenty of curry left over to finish the rice. - Lamb Jalfrezi (Stir-fried lamb with onions, peppers and tomato flavoured with carom seeds, Stir-fried lamb with onions peppers and tomato flavoured with carom seeds, €11.50). Jalfrezi is Indian-Chinese made spicy because the meat is cooked usually with green peppers and onions. This dish was properly spicy and there's a good amount of lamb meat. There was enough curry left over to finish the rice. This was made by the suggestion of a local who overheard me asking for a recommendation for preferred lamb curries as I had chicken. This is reasonably priced comfort food considering how expensive it can be to eat out in Dublin. If this were in the US this would easily be my go-to place for Indian food to go.

While Mussoorie is not the best Indian I've had, it is certainly not the worse. The portions are a bit small, considering the slightly exaggerated prices. It wasn't quite spicy enough, despite the additional note to make the Vindaloo very hot. We had: Mussorie Mixed Platter - a pleasant but expensive starter. It was quite good, I have to admit. Lamb Vindaloo - They made it spicy for me, but not as spicy as it could of been. A vindaloo should be deadly hot. This was only moderately lethal. Naan Bread - for 2 Euro this should of been more than just one piece. One piece should of been inclusive with each meal, quite disappointing. Chicken Madras - This was quite tasty and nicely prepared. Like many of the delivery places for the Dunboyne area, they only accept delivery orders through Just-Eat. Because of this, you face a delivery surcharge of 1-2 Euro and a Visa/Laser fee of 50 cents. I typically despise these sort of delivery services, because they are an unnecessary middle-man. A cost parasite that eat from the consumer and the restaurant. Overall it is a satisfying Indian takeaway, though a bit expensive.
