This meal was spot on, and the spicing was exceptional: there was a great balance of spice, heat, and flavour. The fat level was quite pleasant and there was beautiful use of green cardimom pod in the Roganjosh, and black cardimom pod in the Okra. The lamb was soft and flaked apart nicely under my fork without being dry. The service was quick, and polite, and I was able to walk in without a reservation. The place is spotless, clean, well furnished and has some extra touches in place including nice woodwork, and woven place mats and special cushions to sit on. Great experience. 5 stars!

I think the veggie sampler was a little bit small and the chili naan not quite spicy enough for my preferences, but overall I'd take stuff like chickpea bhaat and aloo gobi anywhere I can get it. Meanwhile, the food was honestly really good - and service was extremely polite as well. It was pretty good Indian food, with a small menu but big servings. The paneer was really good--not too squeaky rubbery like what's found at some places. The chala wasn't as spicy as what I am used to, but still it was good takeout food. The naan was particularly tasty , so if you are choosing between the rice and the naan, go for the latter.

After much searching online, we found the details of this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We made a quick call, to make a reservation for that evening. We later found out that the establishment is also a Bed & Breakfast, something that we will remember when we return to the area. In the town of Belturbet, at the top of the Main Street the road bends to the right towards Cavan and Dublin, rather than following the road to the right, go straight on and you will see the marina on your left. Follow this road out of Belturbet for around 5 miles and we found the restaurant on the left, up a brightly lit driveway. Upon arriving at the restaurant, set in the beautiful County Cavan countryside, we were greeted by comfortable and appealing furnishings and the aroma of spices. We availed of the Christmas Menu meal deal, this included four courses and a glass of wine or beer for just €25 each. Each course was beautifully presented and the food was obviously freshly prepared, as it tasted superb. The couple that run the place were very welcoming and friendly and there was a great and relaxing atmosphere throughout our visit. If you like Indian food, you will not be disappointed and I bet you will not find better anywhere.
