PLEASE NOTE: This was for takeout through Deliveroo.
I had heard Indian Temptation was one of the best places in Bath to eat if you're vegetarian or gluten-free. It's situated right in the heart of the city and the interior has Georgian decor despite serving up spicy curries. If you're dining in, be sure to specifically ask for their dedicated vegan menu. Even if you're ordering delivery, I'd have that menu pulled up to peruse since Deliveroo (anyway) didn't have everything vegan labeled.
I got the:
+ Papadums: this baggy of papadums came with three dipping sauces (a tamarind, a mint, and something bright red and spicy). Crunchy and fun to snack on!
+ Punjab Samosa: comes two to an order, these fried pockets of dough filled with mashed potato and green peas are okay - I'm glad I ordered them as a fan of samosas! - but, they aren't the best ones in Bath (I think ChaiWalla has them beat here).
+ Dal Tadka: if you're a fan of dal, then this lentil stew slow cooked traditionally with ginger, garlic, tomato, onion, and infused with cumin is perfectly, pleasantly predictable. I wish it had been a little bit spicier, but it was absolute comfort food regardless.
+ Sada Chawal: rice for the dal!
