I normally don't write reviews but my first experience at this restaurant made me to write this review. First when we walked into the restaurant to order food the lady at the counter didn't note down the complete order and when I asked her about the missing items she took the order again. After completing order we are waiting for food and we got an item that we didn't order, after telling to the lady she gave it to right table. We expected the appetizer comes first but got the main course and that to only one main course but we are 3 people, we didn't get all food at once and we end up eating separately. The food I ordered was chole bhatura, as you see at the pic I uploaded it came up uncooked inside, when I asked the lady she told that the chef cooked it on hot oil and she admitted the fault and didn't get me the same order again and offered to take any other item, but it's very long wait already. The other items we ordered were chicken noodles with medium spice but they are too spicy we couldn't able to eat them. And lastly the overall experience is not very good, for a self servicing restaurant with paper plates this restaurant is definitely overpriced.

    That's how it looked....

Well, I waited for two visits to write a review. On my first visit they had messed up my lunch thali and in this visit it took them 45 minutes to serve two dosas, and this is what I got (see the attached picture). Their thali was average taste. They didn't give me daal and had replaced it with small samosas. I mean I would have understood if they would have replaced it with some other curry but samosa??? After asking they gave us the daal which had uncooked tomato and onion( which I think they used for tadka). This time the owner (I guess so) or one of the partner did apologize and after saying two more minutes, it took them 10 minuets to bring it out. So, service and food both were not up to the mark.. Not going back again....

Good food and great service. I come through Willmington twice a year, for business and look forward to having food here.

The food tastes like it was prepped way too early. Like some of the food had been sitting out for more than a day and isn't fresh.

Chaat was good . Fried rice was not great and service was fine. Pastries are the best of all , must try.

What a fantastic little hidden gem we have here in Bear! Apparently I had never had South Indian…read morecuisine before so I'm happy to have discovered this little spot. We went for dinner and hadn't realized it was a buffet so that was win #1. I'm a huge fan of getting to try many small tastes so this was a perfect way to sample everything. Instead of Naan we had Dosa (thin crepe) , Vadas (think fried lentil donut) and Uttapaam (like a scallion pancake but better!) No Yogurt based dishes and you won't miss them; the spicy, fragrant, aromatic flavor of every dish is bursting with each bite. I wasn't familiar with any of the dishes so I took a little taste of each and went back for seconds for almost everything. If you are on the hunt for a new spot to get you *slightly* out of your comfort zone, this is it. Pro Tip: the Peanut Chutney is spicy and pairs perfectly with everything you'll try!

Tried for the first time tonight. Very good meal. Got the garlic naan, palak paneer (spinach and…read morecubed cheese), and chicken masala (spicy). It came with rice. All were very good, and I'll definitely be back. The guy asked if I wanted 2 orders of garlic naan, and said each order has one piece. I ordered two, but found out later that he meant one entire piece of naan, not a slice....so just keep that in mind. The chicken masala that I ordered spicy was very light on spice, so if you really want to feel the spice, get the extra spicy. Very good place overall. Wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was great. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about providing a welcoming atmosphere and great service. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and that my experience was valued. Their honest advise allowed me to make informed choices, and my wife and I were thrilled with the food that we ordered! Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding and the best Indian food I've ever had! Biryani City truly lives up to its name, as the chicken biryani I had there was the best I have ever tasted. I asked for it to be very spicy and it was the PERFECT amount of heat to flavor that I was hoping for. The flavors were rich, fragrant, and balanced. Each dish was a delightful explosion of authentic Indian spices and aromas. The restaurant's skill and pride in the menu were evident in every dish we tried. In addition to the Biryani, we had several naan varieties, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a chicken appetizer that was amazing. The diverse selection of curries, naan, roti, dosa, and many other options left me spoiled for choice. Every dish was prepared with such attention that enhanced the overall taste and authenticity.. In conclusion, my visit to Biryani City was an absolute delight. We had two little kids in the party, but even for the adults the spicy was too much to handle. The cook offered to remake it, and we made the order to-go since it had already been a while. But the second order was as spicy as the first one. Not a good experience.
