Who sells chicken mackhani without rice. Ordered delivery on line and order 2 chicken dishes both normally served with rice, but I received no rice. I called the restaurant and was told you had to order separately. Now, I have ordered from Indian restaurants before and always received rice with my meal plus the menu doesn't tell you you don't get rice with a rice dish. Really disappointed because we've enjoyed the indo Chinese food at other Indian hut location a lot! The chili chicken curry felt like it was just full of soya sauce. I normally don't write reviews but my first experience at this restaurant made me to write this review. First when we walked into the restaurant to order food the lady at the counter didn't note down the complete order and when I asked her about the missing items she took the order again. After completing order we are waiting for food and we got an item that we didn't order, after telling to the lady she gave it to right table. We expected the appetizer comes first but got the main course and that to only one main course but we are 3 people, we didn't get all food at once and we end up eating separately. The food I ordered was chole bhatura, as you see at the pic I uploaded it came up uncooked inside, when I asked the lady she told that the chef cooked it on hot oil and she admitted the fault and didn't get me the same order again and offered to take any other item, but it's very long wait already. The other items we ordered were chicken noodles with medium spice but they are too spicy we couldn't able to eat them. And lastly the overall experience is not very good, for a self servicing restaurant with paper plates this restaurant is definitely overpriced. read more

Dine-in - They served food in a cheap "Paper" plate the cheap paper plate will soak up gravy and feels horrible the dine-in food quantity was really small/less I asked for the Pav-Bhaji - they made it in less than 2 minute - the Pav-bhaji was really liquidly - I had a bite and felt that it was seating outside for a weeks - it was "spoiled" - YES the SPOILED FOOD WAS SERVED - I told them and they immediately took it back (returned without any question or comments) - that means they knew. Service was good, needs work since the lady at the register couldn't remember that I ordered 4 cakes and not 3, even after she went over my ordered items a couple times (and place was completely empty so I can't even say it's Bc they were busy). She proceeded to want to charge me for the 4th cake even though I was already charged. After showing her the receipt she realized her second goof. She was apologetic so fair enough. Food was good. Ordered butter chicken and garlic naan to go. Rice is extra, which considering the prices I don't think it should be since this more of a fast foody place and not a fine dining establishment. Even Chinese take out gives you free rice. Butter chicken was more on the tangy side, when it should be a more smoother flavor. Was still a good tasting meal. For our takeout order I specifically requested for the dishes to be mild to which the man on the other end confirmed they would be. Well they were medium to spicy and we could not enjoy the food, so when I called the woman who answered said they didn't offer custom spice levels to which I asked why the man confirmed mild was okay when I initially placed the order. She offered no form of remedy to the situation except an apology. The naan was burnt and it was obvious they tried to pick off the burnt areas. The paneer makhani was in a very watery gravy that had little to no flavor except the tremendous spice level. Indian curries are supposed to be thick and not at all soupy. The chicken tikka masala was not all that bad except the spice level, but they were skimpy on the chicken. We were excited to try this place out, but ended up super disappointed. Well, I waited for two visits to write a review. On my first visit they had messed up my lunch thali and in this visit it took them 45 minutes to serve two dosas, and this is what I got (see the attached picture). Their thali was average taste. They didn't give me daal and had replaced it with small samosas. I mean I would have understood if they would have replaced it with some other curry but samosa??? After asking they gave us the daal which had uncooked tomato and onion( which I think they used for tadka). This time the owner (I guess so) or one of the partner did apologize and after saying two more minutes, it took them 10 minuets to bring it out. So, service and food both were not up to the mark.. I recently ordered dinner for my daughter and I through Grubhub. Several items were missing from the order and one item was removed and refunded. The item removed and refunded was done without contacting me to see if I wanted to replace it with another item. I was unaware of this item being removed when our order was delivered. Our beverage was missing. I'm not sure if it's the restaurant's fault or Grubhub since they very often forget our drinks. Our food was delivered without any rice accompaniment, which is unheard of. My daughter had to cook rice for our dinner. My samosas were missing the two chutney sides that were listed on the menu. Grubhub refused to send the driver back to the restaurant to collect our missing items. Grubhub never sends the driver back! Grubhub refused to refund any portion of cost of this meal. Grubhub never double checks the order before leaving the restaurant. Apparently it is the restaurant's responsibility to make sure that the order is correct and complete before handing it over to Grubhub. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN read more

I love this place!! Their food tastes like authentic home cooked Indian food, the owners are really nice and welcoming, and the eggless cakes are to die for! I've been struggling to find a decent eggless cake place here in DE, all I can find are vegan. When I found out about Indian Hut's cakes I was so excited. The chocolate mousse cake is amazing! Stopped at Indian Hut to satisfy my sweet craving. I asked for a slice of the pineapple cake. The cake tasted like it was made from a boxed white cake mix. It had layers filled with a scraping of something that could not be tasted because there was little to none of it. The top was a deep yellow (food coloring to simulate the yellow color of pineapples) colored topping that again tasted like nothing. As for pineapple well, I counted exactly two pineapple fibers. Expected a basic indian thali which would have been apt for a late lunch, i had been for. Stale Chole (Channa Masala), Old Paneer Masalaa - have never seen paneer fully in the red color which is also sour in taste ( usually its after 2 days). I was on a call so just had the Roti (which was fresh) , Gulab Jamoon and trashed the food. Highlight - When i told food is stale while paying the person at the billing counter without any prompt or questions asks "Is it Chole", so they are aware of it and selling it. I was here today and they served spoiled panipuri. Water for panipuri was spoiled like I tasted and I almost vomited. When I complained to the front desk woman, she said it's not spoiled it's more masala. Common guys accept the mistake rather than arguing with customer. I know how panipuri water should taste like. It definitely doesn't taste spoiled food. When we asked if she can refund us the money, she said she doesn't know how to refund. I hate to give this rating, but this place took me on a ride. First visit i was amazed at the great taste of the curries in the thali. The rice was no good, which i didn't care about, and the nan was very good, which i did care about. On my return trip a week later, i was excited to repeat the meal, but to my disappointment, the exact dishes tasted completely different. They were flat, no taste, waste of calories. It was disappointment to visit Indian hut ... firstly i ordered Masala dosa and they gave me Chicken Dosa i am vegetarian and its a big deal for me ... i told them its not paper dosa they prepared another dosa for me but next dosa was white kind of raw , i prefer crispy golden well done dosa ... sambar was very thick n lentil wasn't cooked properly... i hv also ordered veg machurian dry n that was my biggest mistake ... i dont know what base sauce was there in machurian but after eating that I wasn't feeling good n in few hours I throw up everything... never had such a bad food experience... Worst indian food!! Very bad food quality! I called to order vadapav and dabeli and lady on phone was trying to charge me more. Price per item is $5.99 and she was trying to charge me $6.99, when i argued that yelp and grubhub shows the price as $5.99 she started giving me an excuse that must be a technical glitch. I hung up and then ordered with yelp so that I am not overcharged. I picked up the food and chutnies were missing and then asked lady to give some. She was reluctant to give me chutnies.
