Our group of 4 had a great time kayaking. Wish we had done rafting instead! The down river was tons of fun with unexpected twists and turns. Also fun with low water levels. You can also bring food and drinks!! Wish we had known that... This is a short drive from NYC and next to great ice cream shops. Service was great and workers were very friendly. I highly recommend this place, I look forward to my next visit

Campsite (3/5): These are a bit stacked on top of each other but our group had two next to each other so it didn't impact us too much. Ambiance (4/5): These campsites are right on the water which is absolutely stunning! You really feel like you're in nature, but there is a major road near the top campsites and even by the water you can hear road noise. There was a huge group at the top which partied into the night though we're up late anyhow and it was no issue for us. Consider earplugs if you're not like us. Bathrooms (4/5): These were relatively clean for a campground bathroom. Minus a star here because on the last day the women's room was out of order -- but I believe it was due to another guest, as a member of our party heard someone say "oh no it's not flushing!" TL;DR: Great for those late-into-the-night campers. If you stay here make sure you get a waterfront spot.

They do mention that there are "category 1" rapids but it's compared to maybe hitting a speed bump at 20mph. Be sure to stop along the way as the route is beyond beautiful and worthy of docking your kayak or raft for a quick swim. Staff is super helpful and know what they're doing - 10/10 im coming back here in the next few weeks Update: been coming here a few times every summer for the past 4 years and have become a huge fan of the 3 day overnight camping trips that they offer. If you are looking for a good workout then 17 miles is definitely the option to go for. My group and I kayaked a year or two ago and it took approx. 5 hrs nonstop to get it done. Thus, you may need to show up early to the place around 9 am to account for resting and other delays. Also, the company closes at 6pm and if you return the equipment past 6pm then you will be charged of some penalty... Anyways, my group and I also kayaked 10 miles and it took approx. 3 hrs to be finished. The water in this river is very calm with some currents that may be able to help you out to gain speed from time to time. There is nothing dangerous at this river so you can easily enjoy and have an amazing time with your group. There is a cliff that you can climb almost at the end of the ride where you get to jump down into the water. The height can be approx. 10-15 feet high. The feeling that you get from jumping down can be amazing!

Great location. - Wifi available near office. - We were left alone. We were loud, had fun, laughed, sang, carried on. Nobody bothered us. I can see how this is a CON for some people. :) Now the CONS... - Bathrooms suck. Not cleaned often enough. Not enough stalls, sinks, showers. Not air conditioned. - Two water temperates: Very hot and Thermonuclear. Gotta fix that. - Very dangerous hill to and from the riverside camp sites. People must be getting injured every year. Simple solution: Get some better lighting - even solar lighting - near that path. Consider installing stairs or something, or rails. - Enjoyed the fireworks, but not the next morning at 6am. Not the fault of campground - just neighborly stuff. Perhaps they didn't care for our loud music and my horrible Karaoke singing. *shrug* - Next to ZERO cell signal. Some people with (of all things) T-Mobile had occaisional signals near the river. Bottom Line: Partiers will love it. Your camping experience will be epic, and you will wanna go again. Just don't kill yourselves on the path to the river, and try not to shit your pants waiting for a stall to open up. Families will maybe wanna reconsider. Your kids and dogs will be awake at 1pm listening to loud music, horrible singing, and the occaisional very loud fireworks going on. If you are ok with that, just bring ear protection to drown out the noise and you should be fine.

Landers assured us our 5-mile tubing trip would be a chill three-hour float. Cute. The Delaware River clearly didn't get the memo, because in some spots the current stops entirely. You'll have to use your arms like oars -- not fun when your only paddles are your hands and growing resentment. Pro tip: if you have kids under 12, they'll be too small for the massive tubes and too weak to help. So congrats -- you're towing a human anchor while slowly baking alive. And just when you think you've made it, Landers hits you with the final boss: a shoreline of thick, goopy mud that sucks your shoes off and your soul with it. Because who doesn't want to end the worst vacation day ever by trudging through six inches of swamp muck? Never again. Thanks for the trauma, Landers.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The campsites are well-spaced, and each spot comes with a picnic table. The bathrooms were well-maintained and clean, and the water temperature was warm enough for a comfortable shower. The camp also has a small store with all the essentials, and there's a Walmart and McDonald's nearby for anything you may need beyond that. They keep the area tidy, with clean trash bins and bags provided, and the trash is picked up in the morning. The only downside was the lack of night patrol. There were several loud parties making it difficult to sleep, though I understand this is more of an issue with guests not being considerate. Additionally, the site next to ours had a notably loud snorer, which made things a bit more challenging. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Kittatinny K-Camp.
