Pakora, samosas, and chutney

I gave this place a couple tries because it is so highly recommended. It is pretty dingy inside. Not the best ambiance. I always like to try the masala chai to see how it is and it didn't taste right. The service is a bit slow but they are friendly. All the food I tried could have been better. I have definitely had better Indian food in the area. The chicken biryani is not what I am used to.

One of our favorite places in town. We go there to grab dinner most of the time, but at some point I want to try their buffet. Things in the menu that are a must... shrimp pakora and garlic naan. Other favorites are included in the pictures. Enjoy!

The owners of Dosa Grill, an Indian restaurant off East Genesee Street in DeWitt, opened the Indian Grill in 2019, in a space in Township 5 formerly occupied by Teriyaki Madness. The restaurant is located next to The Brasserie in the same building as Buffalo Wild Wings. The Indian Grill features a similar menu to the one at Dosa Grill, said Aman Chadha, who will own and operate the restaurant with Dinesh Kumar. The restaurant features specialty dishes such as chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, chicken vindaloo, and more. The wife and I have been to Indian Grill several times and I could've sworn I'd already written a review, but apparently not. Never had a bad meal here. Usually get some kinda chicken dish with rice. We've had several different chicken dishes, vindaloo, tikka masala, madras, etc. Their garlic naan is amazing. They have great appetizers too. The chili pakora is delicious, spicy green chili stuffed with spiced mashed potatoes, battered and deep fried, and we love their chana masala chickpea dish. Mango smoothies are delicious. Meals are always enough for leftovers, which heat up great. Prices are fair, service has always been friendly enough. Definitely recommend.

Delicious meal with friends. Vegetable Pakora, mango Lassi, naan, paneer Makhni and raita. All the food came out in about 15 minutes +/-. The food was fresh and hot and nicely spiced. Our waiter was very attentive.

(Visit Date: December 2021) On our way to Costco, we started looking for a Indian restaurant because we wanted to eat curry. And the location of this restaurant was perfect for us. I ordered chicken curry and cheese naan, and my husband ordered lamb curry and traditional naan. There was also a vegan menu. It's like tortilla chips being served at a Mexican restaurant, here Nanchips? was served first, and it was yummy. I don't eat lamb meat personally, so I didn't taste husband's lamb curry, but my chicken curry was very good. Speaking of cheese naan, I like more cheese-cheese naan, so I thought I want more cheese in it. But other than that, the restaurant was clean and the waiter was very nice. So we'll back there again. :)

Goat Curry , Aloo Paratha , Chicken Curry were all big hits! The goat and chicken were tender and the stuffed naan went well with our meals

This is the place to stop at after or before catching a movie across the street. From the warm ambiance to the delicious smells that waft from the kitchen. This restaurant is the epitome of welcoming. Our meal was great and started off strong with vegetable samosas and mango lassi's. The spiced potatoes that were in the samosas were so good we ordered the Aloo Paratha. Despite them both having similar fillings, I wish the Aloo Paratha had a bit more seasoning. However this was a small thing in comparison to our delicious meal!

I'm not incredibly experienced with Indian food, but I've been aggressively trying to catch up since I first tried it a few months ago. I've tried a few places in the area and learned to cook a lot of my favorite dishes. I've been to Indian Grill three times this month, and only now do I feel like I can adequately discuss their menu. I added "Extra Spicy" to all the special instructions for everything I ordered, and they listened. It's always weird to me how hard you have to fight for decent spice on your food around here, especially from cuisines that are known for turning up the heat. Here, thankfully, Extra Spicy took all my dishes right where I wanted them. Nose running but not quite teary eyed - right in the sweet spot. Their shrimp pakora was comparable to any other fried shrimp, but great with the chutneys. Really, really glad I tried the minar special soup. It's a very well seasoned, spicy and flavorful soup filled with small chunks of tender meat. How can you lose? This is the first place I've seen offering street food style selections. The chat papdi and bhel puri were great additions to the meal, and unlike anything I've ever eaten. Both heavy in coriander with a touch of sweet and sour. Both were soft overall with just enough underlying crispy. I've tried different curries with chicken, lamb, goat and fish. I'm very impressed with the quality of the meat they use. I hesitated to order fish; I Just pictured it flaking up into the curry. I'm not sure what kind of fish they used, but it was nice and thick and had exactly the right taste. I wish they'd warn you about the bones in the goat meat. I definitely feel like I could have lost a molar figuring that out. Once you know they're in there, you can eat accordingly. The goat meat was the most tender and flavorful thing I ordered, and it's one of the things I remember most fondly even with the bones. I really enjoyed the biryani I ordered. Any other biryani I've had from other places has been mostly flavorless, and a forgettable experience. I didn't have high expectations when I ordered, but I went with the minar special which uses saffron rice and all the meats. They stuff that thing so full, by the time I was done eating, the container just looked regular full. No flavor or spice was missed, I'm really glad I took the chance. The tandoori chicken was probably the only thing that wasn't all that memorable. I found myself using my other sauces and chutneys to try to revive the flavor but none of them were a perfect match. All their curry items come with an order of basmati rice, which eats like a cloud. It also reheats better than most rice in the microwave with a touch of water. You also get a few pappads with mango, coriander, and tomato chutneys for each entre. The pappads are so thin and crispy, and the thought of them with the tomato chutney is probably half of what lures me back here. Anyone who's gone to Texas Roadhouse after craving their rolls will be able to relate.

I recently discovered my love for Indian food. So since this place is so close to our house and I knew they had the lunch buffet, we decided to try it out for a lunch today. There were maybe 4-5 tables with people seated. It definitely was not busy for a Friday lunch. The buffet had approximately 10-12 different entree items, salad, something that looked similar to coleslaw. 2 desserts, condiments, soup. It was delicious. The service was a little slow and I had to ask for my water to be filled but for $10/person and as much food as you want, we'll be back. Especially as fast as we were able to do lunch.

I stopped by the Indian Grill for dinner. I had the shrimp pakora appetizer. It was fried to perfection. But, it was bland and lacked in taste. My entrée was the chicken dilbar creamy masala. This dish tasted good. The chicken was tasty and seasoned well. The mughlai masala in curry sauce tasted good for my American pallet. The dish had little in the way of coconut flavor in the sauce. As the curry overtook the taste of everything in the dish. My side was garlic Naan/bread. Which went well with my main dish. I washed it all down with mango juice. Which accompanied the dinner quite well. Overall it was a good dinner with quick, but average service. 3 1/2 stars. Not bad for my first indian cuisine dinner.

Extra charge for sauce that is more 8 dollars

From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting décor set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable meal. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic dishes, each prepared with remarkable attention to detail. We started with crispy papadums that were perfectly spiced and paired with flavorful mint and tamarind chutneys. We were also presented with Gobi Manchurian featuring deep-fried, battered cauliflower (gobi) tossed in a spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet soy-garlic sauce. For the main courses, the butter Chilean sea bass was served in a rich, creamy, and beautifully balanced sauce, while the garlic naan came out fresh, soft, and slightly charred--just the way it should be. The lamb kabab was nothing short of outstanding--perfectly tender, juicy, and infused with a smoky, well-balanced mix of spices. Each bite was rich and flavorful without being overpowering. Finally, the lamb shank masala was the true star of the evening. The meat was incredibly soft, falling off the bone effortlessly, and the masala sauce was deeply aromatic, layered with spices that created a bold yet harmonious flavor profile. It paired beautifully with fresh naan and fragrant basmati rice. We were too stuffed at this point to order anything else, so this evil (said with tongue firmly in cheek) lady in charge simply provided us with a dish of kheer to share, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Creamy, lightly sweet, and delicately infused with cardamom, it offered a refreshing contrast to the richness of the main dishes. What truly set this restaurant apart was the quality of the ingredients and the depth of flavor in every dish. It was clear that everything was made fresh, with spices blended in-house to create that signature, authentic taste. The service was equally impressive--attentive without being intrusive, and the staff was more than happy to offer recommendations and explain dishes. It made the entire experience feel welcoming and personal. The owners were friendly and eager to answer questions and make sure that everyone felt welcome. Whether you're new to Indian cuisine or a longtime fan, this restaurant is a must-visit. It delivers not only on taste but also on atmosphere and hospitality. I'll definitely be returning soon whenever we're in the area!

The Biryani portion for $17 was definetly enough for 2 meals and I felt full from about half of it thought that might have been the capsacin. The garlic chili Nana was very interesting because in one bite it cut the heat from my biryani but then hit me with chili and the spice came back. About $50 for 2 people w/ 2 entrees, naan, and water. A little pricier than what you might want for just 2 people but the food's taste and size make up for it. Would definetly go back.

A menu full of takes on classic American fare run through a different flavor profile, and it maintains the large and excellent beer selection of this spaces previous tenant. Take their menu, full of fusion into dishes like their garbage plate and flatbreads that feel unique in this area and still fit the expectation of the originals. Then there is the occasional misfire, like the vindaloo cheesesteak that looks like some premade microwaved slices on a bad roll. This has been pretty good, but if you find something like the cheesesteak, try something else. That's the weird part, for a place with excellent service, an amazing selection of beers, and an experience which places it well above other Destiny locations like Bullfinch and other generic options in the new expansion (it should always be a bad sign for a site when Cheesecake Factory is in the short list of better options to eat at like Karma and the wildly overrated Bullfinch); it needs to have a solid menu top to bottom, don't make us find out what things are crap. It's tough enough to handle the noise in there even when it isn't busy. Overall, really good spot, but a few changes to remove the dead matter will make this the only option in Destiny worth anything. ANYTHING. Do not settle, if you want food and/or beer at Destiny, this is the place

After what seemed like forever, I was able to order the Chicken Biryani, pretty standard Indian fare, and mango lassi. After another considerable wait, I received my "biryani" and lassi. Starting off with the positives: the lassi tasted like a lassi. The negatives: the biryani felt like it was made earlier and put in the microwave...gross. The rice on top was warm and the inside were cold. The chicken was rubbery and inedible. I attempted to eat the rice, which strongly tasted of cumin and pepper and nothing else, but could not keep going. Needless to say, I didn't need a box. They were coated in some sort of seasoning rub/sauce which added a lot of flavor but prevented them from being crispy despite appearances. I would get these again. The vegan samosas were very dry and lacking flavor. The fish 65 was just meh. Strips of fish fried in oil that needed to be changed. Wouldn't get either of those two again. Interestingly, all three apps came with the same sauce on the side. For entrees my partner had Chicken Biryani and Rosemary Naan which she enjoyed and came with a good portion size.
