Best Indian in Finglas, some very nice dishes & very generous in their portions. Can't recommend them enough.

Do Not Underestimate Their Vindaloo #HOTHOT…read more This place over the years have changed their name a few times but what hasn't changed is the awesome deliciousness of their food. I've sampled plenty of the starter dishes and for mains have tried quite a few options over from the beef or chicken jalrezi, tikka masala, korma oh and let's not forge their vindaloo (buyer's beware it is as hot as they come), all dishes have been amazing. My fave, go to main meal is now the chicken tikka masala has enough of everything, packed with flavour and doesn't make me cry like the vindaloo! Also, little tip for you... order the garlic Naan! It's worth the buck and then some. I've often ordered from them when having guests over so whether it be a small order for 2 or larger group they've got you covered. The delivery service is always prompt, never had any issues here and the once time they had a long delivery timeframe they made it know over the phone when I placed the order to make sure I was ok with the wait... More take away/delivery places should take note, if ye know ye are up against it, let us know when ordering... Saves an angry call 60 mins later :-) If you are in the area or live nearby and have not tried their food... Do! You won't regret it

Diwali Indian Restaurant was among the best food I had in over a week of visiting England,…read moreScotland, and Ireland. I visited their Camden St. location which is an area of Dublin that's buzzing with restaurants. Other more highly rated Indian restaurants (which were also more expensive) were all booked up, and I'm glad they were, since Diwali was right up our alley for tastes as they provided delicious food and excellent service. The music was great, and decor just right for ambiance. Meals start off with complimentary papadum and various chutneys, which is always appreciated. For drinks, we got the mango lassi and Cobra beer. The mango lassi had the perfect yogurt and mango accents without being too sweet, and was better than even the highly rated restaurants we went to in London. The Cobra beer was decent with regards to flavor. We tried the onion bhaji and chicken pakora to start off. The onion bhaji was a little bit oily, but great in taste and presentation, leaving us wondering how it was made as it was a pull apart variety while still preserving the chickpea batter accent with each bite. The chicken pakoras were also good, with a batter spiced just right. For main course, we ordered the butter chicken along with pulau rice and a naan. Nothing groundbreaking with regards to recipe, but just fresh and delicious food for these items. The pulau rice was better than plain basmati rice, and naan was a thin, but very generous portion. The food was so good that we returned a second night after being indecisive on where to go for dinner. The manager noticed us and provided us with mango lassi and a sampling of an aloo dish on the house, thanking us for being repeat guests. I love it when management shows such a genuine appreciation for customers like that. Service was attentive and on top of their game throughout both our visits. I'd recommend a visit to the Camden Street location of Diwali Indian Restaurant when in the mood for delicious Indian food when in Dublin.

My 2 colleagues had never been to an Indian restaurant so I was charged with recommendations. Needless to say, they both really enjoyed their meals. Food and service were excellent. We came here after a visit to the Curragh Racecourse, and discovered that every other pub/restaurant in the area was either closed or stopped serving food at 9pm. Sitaaray to the rescue - they open till 11pm! The food won't blow your mind, but it had pretty good flavor and the prices were great. The Food: We got Tandoori Mixed Special (€11.95), a side of the Saag Paneer (€4.95), and G.O.C. naan (€3.25) to split between the two of us. The Tandoori special was very generous portions, and included chicken, lamb, and other grilled meat. I don't usually like getting tandoori at Indian restaurants (it's like the least sexy dish), but we were craving meat, so we went for it. It was good, but not great - a little dry, but that is often the case. There a number of really flavorful sauces that you can add (some with a lot of heat), and that helped a lot. At the price and for the amount of food, it was a good deal though (and definitely satisfied the meat craving). The Saag Paneer, which is pureed spinach and mustard leaves with cream and chunks of Indian cheese, was flavorful. The menu said medium spicy, but I did not notice any real heat. The G.O.C. naan (garlic, onion, and coriander) was fresh and doughy, also with good flavor - not quite as much as I expected, but still pretty good. Overall, it won't be the most memorable meal, but given the few options in the area, at this price the food was well worth it. Space and Pace: Large dining space in the restaurant that was quite empty when we arrived. The restaurant has an almost overly formal feel to it with mood lighting and wine glasses set out, red tablecloth, etc. I found that slightly odd, given that they also do take out, but it is a really nice interior and probably makes for a romantic date. Service: Really friendly servers and people running the restaurant, with good recommendations. Our server warned us about the super spicy sauce you can add to your food, and was a bit surprised that we just about finished off the entire container. The food also came out relatively quickly - we left very happy.

While Mussoorie is not the best Indian I've had, it is certainly not the worse. The portions are a bit small, considering the slightly exaggerated prices. It wasn't quite spicy enough, despite the additional note to make the Vindaloo very hot. We had: Mussorie Mixed Platter - a pleasant but expensive starter. It was quite good, I have to admit. Lamb Vindaloo - They made it spicy for me, but not as spicy as it could of been. A vindaloo should be deadly hot. This was only moderately lethal. Naan Bread - for 2 Euro this should of been more than just one piece. One piece should of been inclusive with each meal, quite disappointing. Chicken Madras - This was quite tasty and nicely prepared. Like many of the delivery places for the Dunboyne area, they only accept delivery orders through Just-Eat. Because of this, you face a delivery surcharge of 1-2 Euro and a Visa/Laser fee of 50 cents. I typically despise these sort of delivery services, because they are an unnecessary middle-man. A cost parasite that eat from the consumer and the restaurant. Overall it is a satisfying Indian takeaway, though a bit expensive.
