The only reason I don't give this a full 5 stars is price and the quality of the naan. The price point here is similar to mid tier sit down restaurants and while you do get a large serving and the taste justifies the cost, for a takeout only location it is hard to recommend for frequent casual ordering due to the higher price point. The naan is also unfortunately one of the only not good things here. It's doughy and tastes like store-bought ones from the market, and the garlic and cilantro flavor is not registering through the poor texture and taste of the bread. I don't know if they make it in house or not but as such an important pairing to their excellent curries I definitely would like to see this improved. Real fresh made naan should be thin with a slight crust, fragrant, and buttery, and this is none of those things.

The food was tasty, but the portions weren't great for the naan. I also had only 4 pieces of paneer in my palak paneer which was a disappointment. Lots of space to dine in if desired but gives more fast food cafeteria than restaurant. Would eat again but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it because of the portions.

I was planning to take it with me while on my home (maybe an hour away given public transport) - however was hungry by the time order was ready. So asked politely if I can use one of the table to eat. The server/cashier said no right away. Which is fair - well within her rights but this place also appear to be a self service spot. I am not expecting to dine in here or use any utensils or cutlery. Just eat a burger. Anyways the burger itself was at best average. It wasn't bad - pretty edible but was smaller compared to other joints. There is a reason why Burger and Kebab hut despite having questionable hygienic standard is tough to beat for Indian Style Burgers. Talking about the ambience - the place is pretty nice. Good siting space and I liked the Rickshaw exhibition.

Finally! A good Indian restaurant in Seattle proper! We ordered the Curry Leaf Chicken biryani,…read moresaag paneer, samosas and garlic naan. Everything was phenomenal. There were quite a few items on the menu we weren't familiar with and the table next to us could see we were overwhelmed with the choices, so they suggested we had to order the curry leaf chicken and we wouldn't be disappointed. They were right! I love saag paneer so I get that everywhere, but this was one of my favorites, the flavor was perfection. Everything was flavorful and well spiced, with a bit of a kick even though we ordered some items mild, but everything was so delicious you had to power through the heat. Service was great. Our waiter was very patient with us and explained the different biryanis, but I'm glad the table next to us stepped in and offered a suggestion. Ambiance was also wonderful, lots of Indian families and groups of friends that evening so you know it's a good spot! Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back.

It's a fast-casual setup: order at the counter and bus your own table. They even have a billiards table if you want to shoot some pool while waiting for your food. We got the Paneer 65, Samosa Chaat, and a spicy Biryani. Everything was freshly made and exactly as spicy as we hoped. The Paneer 65 wasn't quite what we expected, but it was still delicious. The staff mentioned they'd just opened three days ago -- this location used to be Naan Stop and is now run by Bollywood 360 from Bothell. Excited to see how this place shapes up once they've been open a bit longer!

Indian takeout on St. Patrick's Day, oops my bad. Most likely this takeout was cobbled together from the lunch buffet. Overall the cuisine was a decent variety and generously packaged. Each takeout box had basmati rice, peas & carrots in a tomato based sauce, bite sized samosas, with the main entrees provided were butter chicken, saag paneer, and chicken vindaloo. Reasonable to call it a takeout thali. Can't speak to ambiance because it was takeout. Service was swift and efficient, showed my TGTG order and handed a bag with two takeout containers. In, out, and go. I was glad for the thick plastic bag because it was overfilled, oozed out, and could have been a mega mess in the car heading back home. What was missing was the ka-pow flavor! Indian cuisine usually has mega flavor and palate pleasing. This did not align with my earlier visits from way back when. Perhaps I'm accustomed to fave Indian spots in the UDistrict. But when brought home, another family member,The Homie, agreed on this assessment when we later dined at home. Not bad, not great. Kind of a let down from my earlier memories of India Bistro. With the vast regional Indian spots in Seattle and across the lake in Bellevue and Redmond, I kind of expected OG India Bistro to be gold standard. Just okay, hence the three stars for this TGTG experience.
