Picked this place due to its reviews elsewhere and was not disappointed.
It is small and modern looking on the inside (go elsewhere for velvet wallpaper) and was very busy on a Wednesday night. In fact a reservation might be recommended.
We had lamb samosa, chicken pakora and onion bhajees as appetizers together with the requisite poppadums. The latter came with a large assortment of dips and pickle. For entrees, we did a CTM, chicken byriani, lamb naga curry and bhindi. Now, a word about the naga chilli or ghost chilli. It goes to 1,000,000 on the Scoville scale. For comparison habaneros and scotch bonnets go to 350,000. Yeah it was a warm one but tasty. In fact everything was tasty, nicely presented and freshly made. Dessert was a nutty ice cream thing - commercially made but tasty. I'm not sure why Indian restaurants in the UK have moved away from Indian desserts - perhaps they're too much of an acquired taste?
The restaurant is very close to Northfields tube and there was street parking outside. read more
