    Mango Lassi yum!

Fabulous food. Our favorites were the garlic naan and the Mango leek sauce salmon. Also the mango lassi. So good Service was excellent. Ambiance was spartan. We were there for the food and the service...and the food! Thank you!

Wow we are not Indian food experts but we ordered like one tonight. Found this place my accident and it was a great accident. Ok. The cheese tandoori appetizer was tasty. Sweet. Cheese and delicious. The naan was perfect. The rice extremely tasty. My wife ordered the tasty treat. All three chicken portions were unique in flavor and tasted great. My chicken dish was again a different t but incredibly flavorful dish. If I lived here I would eat here often. The service was great and very informative. Go here if you want good Indian food.

India garden is a lovely place to dine with friends and family . Relaxed casual atmosphere, with great food . Here's the breakdown : Location - great location near campus, walking distance to so much ! I have walked from the stadium before , and many other points of interest are super close Parking - parking is fine, located attached to some other dine in spots and businesses so parking isn't a problem at all. fyi some parking spots are on a slope . so if you have a stroller or wheel chair just be mindful of the spots you choose. Menu - great classic menu, and the option to increase or decrease spice level to test, items cooked fresh per order . buffet has been available in the past and was not today which may be due to Covid . The bar is always well stocked and lovely. Staff/service- amazing, always ideal . The staff is literally above and beyond excellent Price- mid price point, very fair for the quality and presentation/plating . My most recent order was vegetable korma and naan ( the naan was so fresh it was divine) my fellow diners both ordered chicken tikka masala and were very pleased. Casual atmosphere, lighting was perfect same with sound levels, not a super noisy place which is great for a business lunch and I have also done some work like responding to emails and taking a zoom meeting for my job while dining and it was quite pleasant . child friendly and can accommodate several size groups I will hands down recommend this location to any and all, always pleased with my experience here.

The food is amazing! I ordered take-out. The butter chicken had a hint of spice but it was not overpowering. I hear that they will be bring back the buffet in September due to Covid. I will definitely be going back!!

    Garlic Naan

Ordered the mango lassi, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan. The mango lassi was really good and I came here multiple times just to order it. This was my first time here for the food. The tandoori chicken came out sizzling. It was really flavored and good. The veggies that came with it were also super good. The curry that came with it was also great. The garlic naan was also great and delicious. They were pretty fast and good with service too. Overall would recommend.

This place is great! We had a nice family dinner here. It is kids friendly and the staff here is very friendly. The food here is terrific. Decent Indian food. I also love the atmosphere of this restaurant.

I made the mistake of going after 2 pm on a weekday. Apparently the restaurant is not open after 3:00 in preparation for the dinner service, but this was not obvious from the website, the door, or the host. The host did not speak English well, and did not communicate well. Coupled with a dismissive, rude attitude, this put me off for the overall experience. Only the buffet was available at this time, and it was obviously close to being shut down, with most items depleted. I had been looking forward to naan, but there were only dried out cut triangles available. The dishes themselves were typical Indian fare, and might have been moderate to good when they were more fresh. After about 5 minutes at my table with me food, the host unexpectedly asked me to leave, saying they were closing. I said I had not known that, and wanted to take my food - small portions, btw - with me. At first he said no, but I stated that they did not make it clear that they were closing, and I would have chosen their take-out buffet had I known, as would not pay for food I had not been given the chance to eat. He finally relented. The restaurant itself was neat and clean, with a nice atmosphere. White table cloths were set for the dinner service, and the decor was decent. I would still like to give this place a chance for a dinner, where I could order what I want, freshly cooked, especially since this is the only Indian Restaurant anywhere near where I live in rural Southwest Virginia.

Many places I have this dish it simply comes out a little bland, but this one definitely felt like it had a char grilled flavor on it that comes from the tandoori oven. The chicken tiki masala was just OK. I've had much better elsewhere. We did get a couple of dishes at a four out of five level spice. Even at four level spice, it wasn't all that spicy. If you like, medium to hot spice salsa, I would order the five level.

They did put out a single table for me to eat there, but it has nothing to offer in the way of ambience. Weather may also be a factor, and when I arrived at the post opening time they were still setting up. The reason I have a high opinion of the place is not any of those things, but that it offers the distinctive home-cooked taste of a cuisine that is not otherwise available in the region to my knowledge. It is vegetarian South Indian and most of the options revolve around lentils and spices. I sampled a preparation I hadn't had before of ildi, a steamed rice and lentil cake, with some mouthwatering spicy powder. My spicy dosa, which I made it clear I wanted really spicy, was indeed fiery, but also possessed the delightful crispness and mix of sour and savory flavors distinctive to this cuisine. I also note that sometimes the salt in sambar overwhelms me but I didn't have a particularly tough time here; the flavors of the spices were enough without the ridiculous oversalting that some restaurants do. It is a taste that I would be happy to come back for in the near term and I would try virtually everything they offer.

I ordered some chickpeas and bread, not knowing the chickpeas already came with bread. That said, the thin, grilled, potato-filled bread is delicious when done right, which it was here. It's the sort of family run place where the kids were hanging out (perhaps a snow day for them). For some time now, I've been looking forward to eating here because I've been hearing many good things about this restaurant, that had been open for less than a year now. When we arrived it was already dark outside, but during this time of the year it gets dark early. The restaurant was well lit from outside and its sign on the small parking lot was lit from inside and had photos of some of their food. It also mentioned that their food was Halal quality. This means that it did not contain pork. Inside, the place was clean and decorated very simple with large size poster prints of photos from some of the cultures of the food and cuisine served here. The dining room was on the left of the building and had booths along the left wall and two persons tables and chairs as well. The owner and host came out and greeted us with a warm welcome, handing us copies of the menu which was very well designed with glossy photos next to the food entrées listed there. This was very helpful because it gave a visual sense of the food, of which many I didn't know, making it easier to order. To drink there were some large display refrigerators full of different drinks for us to reach and get one. To start with since this was our first time eating there, the owner brought us bowls of their Chicken Soup from thebAppetizers section in the menu. This soup was amazingly delicious. Simply the best Children Soup that I have ever had. I urge you to view the photographs that I took to accompany my review and you will get a better sense of it deliciousness. For it is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Then we decided to get several dishes to share among all of us imitating the culture of the cuisine. Among the entrées we ordered were: The Fresh Lamb Tikka Kabab, the Bulani kachalo, Chicken Beryani, the Qurma Potatoes, Chick Pea, Eggplant, Salad Afghani Style Plate Mix, and some Special bread. All the food looked wonderful and tasted even better. For dessert we had the Sherpayra (Milk Fudge) and Afghan Mixed Cookies with a cup of a Special Tea. Afterwards we took a tour of the Grocery, on the right side of the building, and observed all the items available, from foods, to rugs, to jewelry, to an indefinite variety of Afghan items. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of a kind, of its kind. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, the food was amazingly delicious, and the service provided was very welcoming and friendly. I definitely think we should all support this new restaurant and tell our friends about it. I know I will enthusiastically.

At their main counter I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and given a menu to be able to compliment the one on the wall. I ordered the Falafel as appetizer, the Beef Tikka Kabab as the main entrée, the Kunafa for dessert, and Mango Nectar to drink. The Falafel was one of the best that I've ever had. Crispy on the outside and soft and moist in the inside. The Beef Tikka Kabab was served with seasoned rice, salad, and vegetables. Overall it was good but the pieces of beef were overcooked and this made them dry and tough to eat. I feel if they would have asked how do you want your Beef cooked and have cooked it this way, the meat would have been more juicy, soft, and tender. Also, the salad was good but the vegetables were missing as advertised in the menu. I like my beef cooked medium-rare, so it is tender and juicy on the inside and colorful and tasty on the outside. The dessert was good but a bit dry and you could tell it was not freshly made and served as I am custom to eating in other fine restaurants. While at the Grocery I discovered they had a box with Dubai Chocolate (one of my favorites) and purchased one while I was paying for my meal. If the management of the restaurant takes my advice on how to cook the beef I would definitely return and recomend this place to order. Mediterranean food can be so juicy and flavorful. In
