As far as Indian specialty stores go, this place is very clean and neat by comparison. They have a mediocre rewards program, and a hefty selection of all things Indian (seems like the South Indian selection could use improvement). Some of their prices on produce are fantastic, especially Tindoora. I would here to stock up on Basmati rice and Tetley tea. Also, as somebody else said, they don't take returns, so make sure you know what you're buying. Ultimately places like this reduce their selection over time, and products begin to age on the shelf. read more

Some daal packets are of poor quality. So make sure you inspect the packet

When inquired about some fresh pani puris, because the bags they had were mostly broken, an employee by the name of karmin said that is it only puri's and not rocks. REALLY! We are never going back, and they can be assured with the retarded customer service in place, anyone else we know also won't be going there. read more

Good selection of grocery items - just wish the staff was friendlier!

One star so I can just write down review...I hate to do to Indian business but this location customer service is horrible..I live 200 miles west of Dallas so we buy grocery every month..bought costliest wheat flour and we found out there were bugs in that..when we called regarding that no one answered...when I went their again I talked about that and show them receipt but they said you need to bring flour bag with you and it's already more than 1 week so we can't do anything...their attitude like they are doing favor by selling Indian grocery but no one is selling for free so they need to be responsible for the product they are selling...never again buying this grocery from this store.. read more

Great Indian supermarket with even greater selection of spices and rice. Basmati rice is hard to find around where I live and this store has a grear selection of it. They also carry a great deal of spices and other Indian goods. Their loyalty program is also great where you can earn cashbacks to use in the store. read more

I have got Brown sona masoori rice from India Bazar. It if full of dark colored bugs. Even the vegetables I get from here are not very fresh. read more

All you can find is old stocked products being sold at in expenisve price. If you want to get stomach aches or visit doctor feel free to buy the products sold in their own brand name. The spices dont matter as they can be preserved for a long time only the lentils and pulses are not good. Fresh vegetables as the name suggests doesnt do any real justice. If you are a miser and want to go by saving 1 or 2 dollars feel free to shop vegetables here. read more

India bazaar is not just the pioneers of Indian groceries but also stand as unbeatable champions in the world of indian groceries. Fresh produce, quality groceries, competitive pricing, impeccable customer service- they have it all under one roof! And they are now open 24 hours. All I can say is wowww! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars but unfortunately there's no option. Yes I do admit it's lil bit extra cleaner then other stores around but they have the worst customer service. All items price is ok but if you go to taj grocer you will find same price actually you will add everything you will see taj grocer is lil cheaper then india bazaar. Product quality india bazaar I seen lots of thing not good quality. Specially packed bean not clean and veggies not very fresh. Taj grocer compared to them product quality is better. Only things I have seen bad in taj grocer is low lights which is actually better to keep product quality good, other thing you can see at taj is very few associates but what they have is better the india bazaar. India bazaar associates canot even explain/understand and also lack of knowledge that where they keep there product. Main reason I hate india bazaar that they give you coupon by email already expired and when you explain they pretend like they have no knowledge what's going on. I would never ever go there. I rather go to taj grocer or Patel brother. read more

Excellent selection of spices. I purchased saffron, cardamom, curry, cinnamon, cumin and coconut milk. All at reasonable prices, except saffron is a little expensive. The lines are long but move quickly. Some of the isles could be kept more neatly. However, my experience was very positive and I plan on shopping there again. Two thumbs up. read more

This is a great place to shop for Indian groceries and the prices are quite competitive all the time. I like it because they have easy price display check-out counters and overall a good customer service. I would recommend this place to price savvy and customer service conscious folks. Hope this helps ! read more

Great place to shop for all the desi groceries. They have a wide range of items from sweets, chocolates, candies to pressure cookers and ayurvedic medicines as well as cosmetic products from back home. I mostly shop there during the weekends. They also have a floor staff who assists with locating items if u cant find them. I recommend the store to everybody. read more

ITS A GREAT INDIAN STORE WITH A VERY GOOD BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my wife got a very good bargain without compromising the quality. They had a very huge Diwali sale and i have downloaded their app so i also receive coupons on my smart phone as well. Thank You India Bazaar for saving me so much. read more

Some of the packed items are very close to expiry date e.g. Biscuits, Horlicks, etc. Few items dont mention the expiry date atall. Like Wheat flour, Ghee etc. Some items are overpriced as compared to Patel Brothers. read more

I have been here twice, 1st time I had to return snack packet because of bad old smell after opening the packet- it didn't had expiry date too, also peanuts i bought on the same day are are taste less literally - my family hesitated to eat anything i made with those peanuts. 2nd time I bought yellow lentil bag(Grain Market 8lb), 1st time i cooked daal was bad in taste i thought may be my mistake, today i cooked for the 2nd time and realize how bad they are tasting, my family feel the same way, i don't know what to do with 8lbs- I am the person least notice that kind of difference and now it apparent that they are carrying few really bad products. other than that fresh produce was not bad except pricy and few varieties are not fresh enough. read more

The vegatables where old and smelling. Extremely long wait time. I waited in a line that wrapped around the store.

Very good Indian store They have fresh vegetables and at good price read more

Its little bit costly if i compare with patels. The key thing is its close to my home. And even location wise its good.

Very neat and tidy store with large varieties of Indian grocery items. The customer service is excellent.

The prices are very competitive compared t other stores near by. I think they have recently opened one more store in South Irving.

Good and fresh vegetable and reasonable prize. Excellent Indian yogurt and snacks. Gets too busy with long checkout lines on weekends so avoid 4-9PM those days. They are open till 11PM everyday. Customer service is acceptable. Their 4% rewards policy is great. read more

Took a India bazaar coupon and they refused to honor it as I didn't bring the " whole page" according to the owner. I have been going there for 6 yrs. No More! Customer service less than satisfactory. No wonder Patel Groceries is Winning !! Quality of veggies, not too fresh. They go bad in 1 day if you don't cook them same day. One word: AVOID if possible. read more

I was really excited when this place first opened up. Thing have since changed. Prices got jacked up and customer service went down. I actually picked up some naan that had stickers plastered over it stating BUY 1 GET 1 FREE. The cashier dared to stand there and peel off each sticker and tell me that sticker was from the manufacturer to the store. It no where stated that on the pkg. Also I am uncomfortable with all those Hari Krishna people lurking on the premises looking to pounce on you to buy their materials and dupe you. read more

Greattttt collection. Good prices. Close to home :)

IB valley ranch customer service is horrible.Yesterday I bought organic red carrots (that's what the lable says).I bought them coz it's hard to find red carrots here in USA.When I peeled one it was orange from inside. It was like someone had put red color on orange.I talked to manager KAVITA for return she was very rude.I can't believe she told we are not responsible for that if it's orange from inside. She told me to give call to the vendor from where IB buy these vegetables. One more terrible experience with IB. read more

The store as all the spices, grains I need and the produce is the best. the prices of the produce are unbeatable and really fresh. The employees are friendly and always helpful. Would definitely recommend to visit the store. :) read more

Unfortunately all the packed items are poked to release the air out of packages, making it easier for infestation. They do it just to fit more packages on shelves & not care for the poor quality it turns into. Isles are very narrow & get crowded. Most of the staff can't give any responses in English, have to get help. The checkout system is jacked up as well. read more

Good customer service and it's open for 24/7. They have variety of items and they are always available.

***BEWARE ON YOUR BILL*** Just got cheated the second time on the bill. I thought the first time was co incidence, not the second time . When i went back to the sales girl to show the item that i never bought she was almost ready to accept the mistake and she returned it without even thinking twice. I have the bill with me this time read more

Good prices on spices, nuts, produce (though somewhat limited selection of produce). Large frozen and refrigerated food sections. Also stocks cookware and ayurvedic products. Cashiers are very nice and helpful - appreciated by someone not completely familiar with Indian ingredients. Very crowded on Saturdays! read more

Buyers. Be aware of India Bazaar in Plano and Irving, TX. Their 500 points for each dollar you spend is a scam. It is gimmick. It is a game. It's joke. They are cheating us, the customers. I recently busted their scheme. Here is the scheme. I was told that I get one point for every dollar spent. So I got their card. Somehow, my total point was not even getting close to 500 despite many purchases. So next time, before I made any purchase, I asked what was my total points. I was told 474. So I said, if I buy another $26, that would be my 500 points. Right? Wrong. The system is programmed in such a way that you get about 7 point for $16 spent. I bought groceries for $26 that day. The receipt came out that I still need another 15 more points. From 474 points, it reached only 11 points more for $26 spent. I went today on 2-24-2011 and asked how many points I have. The clerk said 485. I bought groceries for $16. This time, it should be 500 points. Right? Wrong. The system only gave me 7 points for $16 purchase. I returned the merchandise. Will no longer buy from them. Subji Mandi is opening very soon in Plano and Taj Grocers is open. So we have two more stores other than India Bazaar. Do not buy from people who has deceptive sales practice. read more

i love shopping at India Bazaar with their weekly deals on vegetables and other products. The line is very huge. I wish there were times when i could avoid the rush. Other than that everything is well organized for a busy store like that. read more

Shopping at India Bazaar is always fun except during rush hours. They always have specials and their products are very good for the price. I eat halal meat and the only problem I have is that they don't stock fresh halal meat at either of their locations. They carry the colonel Kababz products, but not the fresh meat. read more

Deceptive prices and bad service. Check out line took forever. Cashier was confused about prices and had to verify with more than three items. This occurred not only with me but those ahead of me in line. Would definitely not go back. read more
