I agree this place sometimes has an odor but for the sheer quantity of fresh and frozen items they stock, it is understandable. The only time it really smelled bad they had lost one of the freezers and had repairmen on hand. For produce and seafood you won't find better prices. They have a great variety too. Check out the stainless steel sinks beneath the wall of aquarium-like live fish storage tanks. I recently saw huge bags of fresh live crawfish and shrimp so big that two or three would make an entire meal. The variety of rice, noodles, sauces and frozen foods is amazing. If you don't have an Asian style meat cleaver you should pick one up here for about seven dollars. I use mine for everything but it especially good for cutting meat with bones. It makes short work of chicken wings. Plenty of checkers to get you out quickly and plenty of parking in the busy shopping center.

Overpriced but worth it, can't say the same for the other anime stuff they sell.

They have an anime (Chinese cartoons) store inside, most of the stuff is pretty overpriced though so I recommend to just buy that stuff online. I still ended up buying a umaru plush from them even though that was also overpriced, I would only recommend buying from them if you want whatever anime merchandise immediately instead of purchasing it online and having to wait for it to be delivered. The actual store is pretty alright, it smells like fish and I was kind of expecting it, but that's only because I've been to only 2 Vietnamese markets and they both had this problem so I just assumed that it was common problem, but that seems to be not the case since other reviews are implying that not all Vietnamese markets are like that. Overall the store is ok but note that the only things I've bought from there is green tea kit kats and ramen so I can't really comment on the meat or produce.

Be careful with items that have no price tag…read more I was charged $15.99 for an item that normally sells for around $3.99 at grocery stores in the same area. I noticed the issue immediately after checkout, reviewed my receipt before leaving the parking lot, and returned to the store within 2-3 minutes. Instead of acknowledging a possible mistake, staff insisted the price was correct and stated they do not honor returns, even when addressed immediately. I pointed out that the item had no price tag on it, nor was there any pricing on the shelf, and that it appeared to be priced nearly 4× higher than normal. The response was dismissive and not apologetic. Within less than 10 minutes at my next store stop, I found the exact same item priced at $3.99, confirming my concern. Which is unfortunate, because the store initially appeared nice and clean. However, once trust is lost, it's hard to come back. Based on how this was handled, I will not be returning and do not recommend this store.

They have a deli area offering Mediterranean dishes and toppings and everything is really good, but the jewel of the crown (at least for me since I am a carnivore) is the meat area: Super fresh meats with a super friendly and attentive service. I make beef jerky at home and need very thin, consistent slices of beef, and they're always happy to help when I ask. They do an excellent job and it makes a huge difference. The store is also well organized, with shelves consistently stocked and a wide variety of items. Produce is fresh, and another big plus is that checkout lines are usually not long, which makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Absolutely worth the drive and easily one of my go-to Asian markets.

Whether you're looking for live (or just fresh) seafood, fruits and veggies not typically found in the U.S. or a wide selection of snacks and premium meats, HK Market had it all! We did need some help locating specific KBBQ bulgogi sauce and the lady working the beef counter was nice enough to walk us over to the correct spot to locate the bulgogi sauce. Another worker was very helpful when we needed to locate the restroom. While in the restroom I thought it could definitely be updated/cleaned but overall it was a very pleasant experience. Can't wait to try out the meats for Christmas dinner!

It's a decent size grocery store with great selections of prepackaged seasonings, fresh meats & fish. The freezer area has A LOT of different roti's, & naans, also samosas, gyro meats, cooked chicken snacks. Wish they had more frozen entrees, not just naans & snacks. THE CAFE IS A MUST TRY! The prices are reasonable, good selections, & boy... they were so good! I got beef Tezala (tejala) & butter chicken that come with basmati rice. Portion is enough for 2 people. I asked for mild bc hubby & daughter don't handle spicy. They both have GENEROUS amount of meat! The beef has bone-in meat pieces & yes some fatty meat that we like bc the fat makes food tasty. They're both fresh & so tasty. The butter chicken is creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet like some other places. The beef was tender that it fell off the bones & so rich in flavor. Pretty generous amount of rice too. The staff are nice & friendly. The store staff greet you & offer help. It is a simple, non-fancy place, but it is a gem! Can't believe I never bothered to check this place out!

I'm a fool and must make up for lost time. The interior isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing - it's pretty run down with dingy and outdated floors, walls, and shelves. Unattractive fluorescent lighting and items sort of piled about. But everything seemed ultra-clean and the store is easy to navigate, which is what counts. The variety and quality of products here is stellar. When do you ever see whole raw garbanzo beans? Where can you find the biggest bags of basmati rice known to all humankind (and multiple brands at that)? So much produce, every kind of flour you can think of, herbs (curry leaves!), and an incredible array of whole/dried and powdered spices. Soooo many types of salt and pepper, curry, masala, chutneys, incense & candles, yogurt, fresh baked goods, SO MUCH GHEE, a large selection of frozen foods, candies, and a ton of pre-packaged cookies, breads, and cakes. I was the only person in the store at 4 PM on a Wednesday, but the staff was nice and I was able to get in and out quickly despite my lengthy browsing.

This place can be an experience just walking through and looking at everything. The looks and smells are almost overwhelming. Our favorite thing to do here is to get spices. You can get a HUGE bag of spices for a fraction of the price that you would pay for a little bottle at a regular grocery store. The staff are very straight to the point. Some might consider border line rude but I think it's just the culture difference not rudeness. They are usually pretty busy and just don't have time for pleasantries. If you need spices or a 50 pound bag of rice, this is your place.
