Great Neurologist and very efficient and knowledgeable. Got me in right away and prescribed a medication that gave immediate relief

AVOID this place and its extremely rude, unprofessional, and uncaring staff. My husband had been waiting for three months to get in to see this guy and they canceled his appointment because the referral wasn't correct. They made me call to get the referral corrected, giving me a bunch of technical medical jargon to tell the referral department. This is something they should have done and they knew it but were just too lazy to be bothered it seems. Regardless I get it done and even though they promised to let him have his original appointment if I got it done that day (I got it done in less than an hour) they rescheduled him for yet another month out. So now we are at four months just to see this doctor for a meet and greet all the while his condition is getting worse by the day. So we waited, my niece took the day off from work to take him and we find out that they called him on Friday to confirm (his appointment for Monday) and because we didn't return the call that same day they just up and canceled his appointment. Calling as soon as they open on Monday wasn't good enough! SMH!!! Who does that? They are the ONLY doctor who does that and it is obviously for greed reasons. Whatever, I ask to reschedule and she says she can call me if something becomes available tomorrow (we have to arrange transportation, etc. we can't just up and go) so I say no can we just have an appointment scheduled out further? I also add that they shouldn't book new clients on Fridays if they are going to just cancel seeing as they are closed for call backs on Sat/Sun. She clapped back, "Oh you could leave a message" so they check them on their day off? Who knew? Then she rudely suggested (because how dare me be upset) that we could call our referring doctor and get a different neurologist. I said, yeah I think we will because you all are a bunch of -----bleeps! and hung up the phone. AnywhOo, that is exactly what we will be doing along with a complaint to his insurance company. These people only care about one thing and it isn't patients. What is really sad is that they deal with people who have brain issues with zero compassion. They have clients who may not always be able to call back within their given time frame NOT TO MENTION how much time and preparation goes into getting to one of these appointments! If I had not called Monday morning as soon as they opened we could have ended up going and being turned away! Not okay----- again, my niece took the day off from work, my husband can hardly walk, someone has to dress him, etc to get there SMH it is a ton of work! There is NO CARE for that or that my husband actually needs to see the doctor instead of playing games with an incompetent and uncaring front office staff. Avoid these jokers if you can. read more

Horrible experience with Dr Luthra and staff. Ended in divorce after 2 unhelpful appointments. Most of the GOOD reviews are from local guides who do it for $. When Luthra realizes that you know he's incompetent, he becomes negligent, retaliatory and rude. Barely civil in the 1st appointment, because my friend insisted on joining me to appt. He sent me to see a real neurologist, Stanford who deals with CSF leak. I already have a great neurosurgeon, so just wanted a local neuro to help bridge some gaps. The standard conservative treatment for CSF leak while awaiting treatment is Saline IV. Luthra wouldn't give the script but instead told me to go to Urgent Care when I needed it, saying he would CALL them and tell them to give it to me. That imbecile 'plan' wasted DAYS of my life and the Urgent Care people looked at me as if I was crazy. Never got IV. Luthra could care less. I asked my PCP to get it for me and now that I have it I'm doing so much better. Second appt with Luthra I decide to get his opinion about my MRIS comparing my large Tarlov Cyst in 2019, to my smaller LEAKING Tarlov in 2024. Its half the size, it's VISIBLY leaking out spinal fluid and he looked at me and said the fluid leaking out out was veins... Imagine "veins" connected to a bubble of spinal fluid in the sacrum... where there are no veins. He admitted he's never seen a CSF leak patient... The only way it can be diagnosed is in a major clinic like Cedars or Stanford with high tech tests. But he tells me unequivocally that I HAVE NO LEAK because his untrained eye did not see one on a basic MRI. Oh AND his scientific process was summed up in this quote to me: " If you had a CSF LEAK you would not be sitting here in my office". He wrote the CSF referral to Stanford like a complete mockery. Saying "she's self diagnosed" and other atrocious lies. Clearly written trying to sabotage the referral. Entered wrong diagnosis and MONTHS were wasted trying to fix it. After watching several lies and negligence unfold for months ...Luthras staff said he will NOT clarify CSF leak on referral because Luthra hasn't DIAGNOSED me with it. When I asked her if he's ever treated, diagnosed, or has the high tech tools to diagnose CSF Leak, she changed subject and yelled over me. So Luthra REFUSED my access to get DIAGNOSED for CSF LEAK, because he didn't DIAGNOSE me. Doctors do this trick when they think you are truly stupid. (Hint: He CANT diagnose me). Manager wanted to call Stanford and retract the diagnosis . She threatened to call my NeuroSurgeon and my PCP! For what reason other than slander? I told her I don't want their office involved in my care. I divorced them. Today they are breaking federal HIPAA LAWS and refused to release my recent labwork. Malicious retaliation...and for what? Me divorcing them because they are trying to block my access to care??? It is ILLEGAL to withhold healthcare information and labwork. He is working his own medical Mafia right now. I'm so glad the US spent billions of taxpayers $$ to give University grants to foreigners that not only behave outside of American ethical standards, but will shamelessly lie, neglect and conduct illegal actions opposed to HIPAA LAWS and against civil rights of Americans. This is the epitomé of the dark side of Medical doctoring... Ego bound up in true ignorance. He couldn't even read a simple MRI. He didn't care enough to familiarize himself with CSF LEAK. He chose to not believe my textbook symptoms that have sent me to the ER dozens of times. He has become a danger to my well-being and illegally has tried to block my access to critically needed care. Update: Luthra wrote to my PCP to telling him to abandon me as a patient. My PCP did abandon me saying, "I agree with Dr Luthra that she is self diagnosed. This is glaring malpractice. I got my medical records from Luthra and almost every LINE is a lie since 1st visit.. Why??? I didn't even KNOW this man! Is this racism? Why would a stranger want to ruin my life?? Very disappointed in Dr. Luthra/. I just received a letter from his office informing me that he would no longer be my doctor. We just had a serious problem with his office staff. They are pathetic. incompetent & disorganized. I was desperate for a refill for one of my seizure medications. I called the. office to explain the situation. They told me 3 times that Dr. Luthra would take care of calling the pharmacy when he finished seeing patients at the end of the day. They LIED. NO one in the office ever followed up. Our pharmacist tried to call them. They lied about that too. Needless to say it was a very serious situation. Cannot refer patients to Dr. Luthra. This is not the first time that there has been a problem with the staff but this was the worst & most dangerous. Don't take a chance. I'm sure there are better alternatives read more

NOT RECOMMENDED! Since having a negative experience at this office with Dr. Luther and with the staff I can say that has not been my story once I went to another professional Neurologist. . I found a great team of Neurologist (best area for choices of Dr) The question I posed to yelp is this, "should this office even be open? I highly recommend Dr. Luthra. I was in the hospital with the flu but needed to see a neurologist for my MS. Dr. Luthra came in and without hesitation put me on an immunoglobulin infusion and ordered MRI's for me. I really appreciate his quickness and thoroughness in my situation!!! read more

Awful experience. Doctor was no help and the office staff has absorbed his lack of caring and inefficiency. They do not look up or greet you when entering the office. Plus they desperately have been billing me for 6 months for $15 which I'd already payed! This might be fraud. read more

Excellent doctor who keeps very much up to date on the latest treatments and medicines. He is very patient and compassionate and will always give you the straight story, good or bad news. I have been under his care for thirteen years and would not go anywhere else. He has my utmost respect and confidence. He ends every examination with, "Call us any time" and he means it. I had a bad issue once when he was out of town. I contacted his office and he called me back within 5 minutes and gave detailed directions of what I needed to do. Just a really good man. read more

Dr Luthra is a nice, compassionate, and thorough doctor. The staff is not however. They mess up something and dont make you feel like its your fault! Wait times are very bad and I usually have to wait over an hour due to their horrible scheduling! Staff sucks but Dr Luthra is amazing!!! read more

This doctor and his staff are amazing. He is literally having to start from scratch with my daughter because another doctor didn't treat her right. He is very knowledgeable and wants you to have all the information you can on your condition. He is so polite and kind. I would recommend this doctor. I'm very picky when it comes to doctor because another doctor when she was younger caused her to become disabled. So when I like a doctor I'm letting everyone know. His bedside manner is excellent. Dr. Luthra is the best neurology doctor I have ever seen. He is very thorough. I have never felt rushed during an appointment even when I'm still there after business hours. He will make sure to answer every question. His office is by appointment only and the staff is friendly too. They're billing is a bit on the late train as it is not done electronically and expect to wait at least 30 mins before you're seen by the Doctor, which is understandable considering how thorough he is. read more
