I have had two appointments with Dr Labib and I found him to be very knowledgeable, informative and most importantly, he solved an on going problem that other doctors had not been able to diagnose. He took time to put all the pieces together and provided a solution that so far has worked very well. Not sure what the prior reviews are about, but if you read all the paperwork that you sign, the office policies are very straight forward. Like him or not, he is a very good diagnostician. He is very nice and his staff is very nice as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Labib. read more

If I could give this guy a -1000 I would. Had scheduled an appointment a month out seems he is busy. Got there 15minutes early after driving an hour and half to get there only to wait 75 minutes after appointment. I ask several times when he might be ready to see me and the you d girl had no clue neither did the young man. Final 80 minutes after scheduled appointment time I was called in by the young man only to ask stupid background questions. Was told to wait another 20minutes the doc came in only to smirk when I said I wasn't happy waiting almost 2hours past my appointment time. This office so unprofessional and not very nice. Shockingly the most flip and uncaring doctor I have ever encountered. His office is a mess, appears completely disorganized, and that alone inspires little confidence. My brother who lives with me has Dementia and at our first visit I told Dr. Labib that a psychologist, not an MD, suggested my brother has Lewy Body Dementia and he said to me, "that sounds good we'll go with that!" At first I thought he was trying to be funny, he had not given my brother any evaluation at that point, but he was serious. Subsequent visits where about him saying to me, "your brother didn't do as well this time as last answering my questions." I could have told him that! Then we did not hear from his office for a year. My brother was obviously not a valued patient. We've moved on to another doctor. I would not recommend this guy to anyone. read more

If I could I would leave 0 stars. On my first visit to Dr Labib, for determination of neuropathy he said I was at the beginning stages of Parkinson's. But of course didn't put it in writing. He said this because of my slow gait and slightly shaky hands. I told him I had a family history of Essential tremors. He immediately put me on Levidopa which made me nauseous and caused me to lose weight. Could only communicate thru office staff not with him he lowered the dosage and then increased. 6 weeks of tests followed during which he never updated me on their results. 2 months of anxiety followed until I had a more extensive 2nd opinion. That resulted in determining I indeed had essential tremors. A final Test that Labib never ordered totally ruled out Parkinson's. Do NOT seek his medical help. read more

Am rating this based on experience trying to get a dementia patient into them. Primary DR sent over referral 5x. They claim they don't have it. I have stopped trying. They offered no solution, refused to call my primary to get the actual referral another way. They claim their fax is always backed up. Primary said their fax is down most of the time. Terrible experience with office staff....forgot to do work necessary for appointment. I anticipated the appointment for weeks in order to relieve pain and then the day before appointment I called and the staff said oops we have not ordered the drugs yet...we will call you back....they did not call back...they did not respond to my two call the morning of the appointment,,,they were completly neglectful and they never apologized for the cancelled appointment.....the worst medical experience in my life. i wonder if they charge any fees if you miss an appointment.....I would like to charge them for the xtra pain that they cause...on top of not taking care of the original pain that brought me to this office.. read more

The office staff has no idea wtf they are doing they charged me up front for my visit for what my insurance was not going to cover and still billed me for the visit had to call and talk to different people to have them find the paid invoice then they called to cancel my coming up appointment and I called left a message to confirm my appointment was canceled never got a call back but I did get another bill in the mail for a canceled visit for which they canceled still waiting on a call back to see what's going on this is really unprofessional and I would not recommend this off because of the incompetent staff . read more

I hold the Healthcare POA for my brother who suffers from dementia. I am a Registered Nurse and have worked within the medical establishment for 40 yrs. I retired from Intensive care setting in the hospital to work part-time as a patient advocate I have never experienced an office as poorly run as this office. I honestly am hoping it is just incompetency and not a total lack of regard for their patients and families. I only met Dr Labib once while attending an initial visit with my brother and I am in no position to judge Dr Labib's medical competency. It is hard for me to imagine he does not realize how poorly his office is run. As far as I can tell it is impossible to communicate with him unless you attend and appointment. That is not possible at this time and I have communicated that with the office. Dr Labib knows the degree of dementia my brother is suffering from and that there is no use in trying to communicate medical issues with him personally. He will not understand them or remember. He gives him a useless piece of paper with instructions my brother will promptly misplace and is incapable of sharing with me. The office has a copy of Healthcare POA and I can not even count the number of times I have called trying to get information I need from the Dr to get my brother the help he needs to be safe; with never even a return call. I do not live in the area and am trying to handle this from a distance. On that useless sheet of paper he does give, he states my brother should not be alone. My brother lives alone. We are trying to get a letter of incapacity from Dr Labib so my niece can sell his property and get him into assisted living. I should also mention I am dealing with a different Neurology office in a different county for my other brother suffering from Alzheimer's. The difference is day and night. This office is not the norm. There is no excuse for the way this practice is operating. read more

I am writing this review to warn others abut the services dr Bishop Labib's office. The jury is still out on Dr labib himself. Over the course of several months I believe I saw him 3 times. For me the support staff is what so clearly brings his ratings down. There are no set ways of communicating with the doctor other than a face to face appointment. Even as an established client calling in with serious symptoms I could not get an appointment within the week and appointments can be offered weeks out. His assistant sometimes referred to as his nurse, is the gate keeper for all communications other than the office visit.. so how she conducts her business or translates your message to the doctor is fundamental to patient care. The problem is that she is incompetent. Phone calls are rarely returned, prescriptions are not called in on time and never without many calls to request (or bringing in the big guns and having my GP call over to get this done), doctor's orders have been relayed falsely. Along with being incompetent she is disrespectful and rude. If I sited all the scenarios to back this up the review would be ridiculously long. There is no after hours assistance only the option of calling 911. I waited 4 months to get in to see a doctor, but even with serious symptoms opted to leave his practice and wait for an appointment with another doctor.. who, go figure.. offers direct communication via email which I'm told is personally answered by the doctor within 24 hours. My poor rating joins many others posted over the web. I feel that continuing with Dr Labib under these circumstances with this staff leaves serious room for mismanagement, and is potentially not safe. read more

I have posted before that this office is cold and very inefficient. We;, my husband and I have been to him about 3 times. He recommended my husband have a pychologist report, which we did. Today we were to have an appointment with Dr. LaBib, but I wanted to be sure the report was there. I called in the a.m. but got the message that said they were there but could not answer right then, to leave a callback number and message and they could return let me know since the purpose of the appt. was to hear what the report said. Our appt. was for 2:45. I called 3 more times between noon and 2:00 and was still getting the same recorded message. It seems they do not want to be bothered answering their phones. Unfortunately, our family dealt with this incompetent office for 6 months on behalf of a relative. The single star above is solely for Ashley, the office manager, who tries to help and was able to ensure records were ultimately transferred to a new neurologist's office. The rest of the staff is incapable of a simple greeting and appears to be miserable. The incompetence isn't just frustrating, it's unsafe. On one occasion an unnecessary test was run which almost canceled an important surgery. There were two prior images ordered by other doctors and no need for a new one. Labib's office knew we needed results by the time the hospital called the day before and failed to initiate a call or even return our call. Several of us had flown in for the surgery and it couldn't be canceled. Luckily, we were at another specialist's office for an appointment when the report was faxed there from the imaging center as well. On another occasion, our relative's medication wasn't working to relieve symptoms. We spoke to the "medical assistant", a glorified message taker, to urge her to have Dr. Labib call us personally to discuss new ideas. She stated the doctor only sees patients in the office, but our relative's appointment wasn't taking place for a month. She said she would speak to the doctor and call back with his suggestions. Three weeks later we still hadn't heard anything, ultimately giving up and dropping this doctor. Arrogance, zero bedside manner, and incompetence can be excused a few times, but shouldn't be the norm. Wait times are over an hour every appointment and even the environment and hold music are unwelcoming. Stay away. read more

Stay away if you want a diagnosis. After several months with no diagnosis I was told to call back if my condition worsened. Not accepting this as an answer I sought out a second opinion. Non responsive Dr. Grossly under qualified, unconcerned staff. Office is dirty. Blinds have been broken for 6+ months. Looks quite run down. There are much better out their. We are extremely dissatisfied with Labib and his entire staff. Dealing with them has been a nightmare and we are changing physicians. We experienced frequent failure to return important phone calls, overbilling, and staff incompetence at every turn. He was not of any help whatsoever. We are filing appropriate complaints. Very bad experience! Took my 13 yr old who has fainted twice. Was referred here by an ER doc. After several copays and months of seeing him weekly... No diagnosis. Paid over 1900.00 in testing. Then got a bill for 590. This guy is no good! He said " if he faints again, come back." No thanks rip off asshole!!! read more

For all military and TRICARE members beware. I was referred to him by Dr Seip of Yucca Valley to see Dr Labib for services. It seems Dr Seip's office refer patients to Doctors not on the TRICARE network ( two on my case) Received a bill from Dr Labib for $365.00 for services and at no time was I informed he was not on the TRICARE network. Notified both Dr Seip and Dr Labib office requesting copy of the request and approval for services and was informed Dr Seip's office that by agreement between both parties that Dr Labib's office was responsible for submitting the request to TRICARE for services. After contacting Dr Labib's office on various occasions (months) his office informed me that It was on the Referring Dr to submit the request for service to TRICARE. Neither Office can produce documentation to TRICARE for approval. Once again 3 months later I receive a bill for the same amount. This shows how these two Doctors take care of service members and military retirees and their families under TRICARE. DR Labib's bedside manners had a lot to be desired. I will inform TRICARE of this and ask all my fellow service members, retiree any military members to stand united. read more
