Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. The two movers were efficient, but indicated that they wrap the furniture in the truck to save time. I think this probably led to some minor damage on my furniture as it was not protected until it was in the truck. Generally the move went ok until they forced a large couch through a doorway to my basement. They cracked a corner of my kitchen pantry cabinet and scraped a significant portion of the paint off the doorway. I had asked them to get the couch to the basement if possible, but it wasn't mandatory so I was disappointed that they forced it. The resolution that the company offered was for me to obtain 2 or 3 quotes for repainting (I will be renovating the kitchen in the near future so did not care about the damaged cabinet) and they will then reimburse me. It puts the onus on me to get the repair done, which seems unnecessary. I can't recommend this company and will not use them for future moves, if any.

The day after I posted my review detailing the panic-inducing situation that Haul Zing left me in, someone from the company FINALLY reached out to me. In fact, a young woman named Lisa called me on my cell. At first, she started to reiterate the lies that the movers said about calling me and telling me that they would be late because their truck broke down, etc. etc., but I offered to take screenshots of my phone and text message logs to prove that this was untrue. She then told me that the owner of the company was extremely upset when he read my review and found out what had happened to me and my family. She said he would like to offer some compensation because I ended up spending a great deal more to find another moving company at last minute's notice. I thought this was very kind, and started to think that perhaps Haul Zing DID really care about its customer service. I waited a week, two weeks, three weeks, yet heard bupkis. Thinking perhaps I had given Lisa the wrong address, I called Haul Zing again on a Thursday morning. Lisa answered and said, "I was just about to call you." Right. She told me that she had written the address of my new home down wrong, and vowed that I would get a check from them "by next Wednesday." As you can guess from this update, that was untrue. Now, after my first Yelp review of Haul Zing, I never once asked for compensation or threatened them with this update, etc. In fact, two months have passed, and the money has never really mattered to me. What I DO think is important, though, is that a company who signs contracts with customers for a service as important as moving their valuable belongings should be expected to keep their word, and honor those contracts. The fact of the matter is, Haul Zing has proved to be a dishonest, unscrupulous company. I would caution anyone who is thinking of allowing them access to her or his home and possessions.

In order to complete the move in the same day, I was required to step in and do all the work the movers did. The move still took 10.5 hours, it should have taken 5. They moved my "hourly rate down" but I still paid an absurdly higher total as the move took twice as long. Terrible customer service and delivered a service I did not sign up for. I am pursuing actions to recoup some of the money THEY STOLE FROM ME. I have moved several times over the past 10 years, and have never had an experience like this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
