So here I was again, since they only have very select hours, I brought another girlfriend to paint some ceramics , we got there at exactly 12:00pm when they opened, she picked something to paint for herself to put out for the holidays, and YES I did another Christmas gift, this time for my sons girlfriend. As always Mrs,Kelly was an spectacular. Help for me and my girlfriend. This time we brought a large bottle of wine and had a nice time, but have to return to finish our project. With being open for only 4 hours just isn't enough time. I will be going with another friend on Saturday to pick another project as a gift... I won't finish todays project until I go back with my one girlfriend. I seem to like to pick ceramics that you can put a tea light candle in, so it gives it an extra effect. Here is a picture of what I was working on today, just realize not completed. And after it's fired and glazed, it comes out so much darker and shiny. read more

We came here in November on a dreary and rainy day and ended up spending 3 hours painting as a family. It was really fun to just sit around a table and paint. Kind of therapeutic. We are from out of town and so we paid to have it shipped and it was worth it! With the holidays it took about 3/4 weeks to arrive. Each item had been dated (Thankyou:) on the bottom and wrapped individually in a box full of packing peanuts very nicely. We love to come up to the poconos and usually hike, but the weather made us rethink what to do and glad it did. We mixed it up and found this little gem. It's been too long since we've done something like this! Recommend for anyone really, alone or as a group, it's nice to just pick something meaningful or fun and be creative. Of the many places for kids and adults to have fun this is one of the most originals. I've rarely seen places that provide art classes and allow kids to work on pottery around. My son and my wife has had a lot of fun doing plates, mugs, and just painting here. My son also likes to make mugs for me and my wife as presents for our birthdays. :) read more

Seriously, what FUN have you had with your kids that your kids are reminded of every time you all eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Go have FUN and paint something cool (YES--that means YOU the parent should paint, plus the kids because it is more memorable and fun for the kids when mom and dad paint! Don't say you don't know HOW to paint because you don't have to be good at it)! Paint cups, bowls, and plates. Paint large serving bowls and serving plates for potluck dishes or housewarming gifts or gifts for grandma and grandpa. You will have fun memories that will last a lifetime! All those funny quotes you read on Facebook? Paint them on your pottery. Make a travel mug and everyone at work will want one just like it! Sell yours and then make another one! Nope, I don't work at this place, nor am I related to the owners in any way. I don't even live in PA anymore. However, I bet my family has at least 30 pieces of pottery from here, and I haven't live there for over 4 years. I am just a serious raving fan of this small family-owned business. The owners pour their heart and hippie souls into this shop. Don't just go here once. Go here frequently. Go here several times a month. Don't buy a new dinnerware set. PAINT a new dinnerware set! My husband and I had a fun time making pottery!!! We were visiting PA without the kids and wanted to do something different. This was such a pleasant and fun place. So helpful especially, for those not artistically inclined. Was a little pricey but does not take away from the great time that we had. Have visited the studio many many times and have never been disappointed. My children enjoy the classes and summer camps. The staff make you feel welcome and help get the creative juices flowing. I'm not artistic at all but have created pieces that I am proud of. Kelly does beautiful commission pieces also. Love the piggy bank I had done. Exactly what I wanted. read more

The staff is very helpful, nice, and patient. They don't rush you like some other places I've been. Painting frustrates me but I had a good time painting a noodle bowl. If I ever find myself in the Poconos again, I would come here again. Definitely recommend :) read more

My daughter and I love pottery painting. This was no difference. They had a lot to choose from as well as other types of projects. It took a long time to receive our items, however, they kind of have a sign that says it. Real mom and pop like. But that is also it's charm. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, patient. I'm not used to being charged a sitting fee, but it was advertised so I knew going in. I would recommend it and plan to go back when my daughter and I are back in the poconos. read more

This was my family's first experience with any type of pottery place. We were there the week of June 13th, either Wednesday or Thursday, can't remember which. Anywho, we were from out of town so chose the option to have them mail us our items. We were told two weeks, so I called last Thursday, June 30th, and was told they weren't shipped yet, should ship Friday or Monday (Monday was a holiday so I assumed would be out by the 5th of July). Just called to follow up to ensure our items went out (wouldn't be such a big deal except my young daughter is very disappointed she hasn't gotten her stuff yet) and our items STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, what should have been 2-3 weeks total still is not received and I will probably never come back for this simple fact. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years and always had a wonderful experience. Jason and Kelly and their staff are friendly, helpful and accomodating. We've been there for Kids night out, birthday parties and a Girl Scout tour/party. The store is a wonderful addition to the Poconos where all the family can participate. The selection is great and the prices are affordable. They have a website and facebook page in addition to the calendar in the store to keep their customers informed. My kids love this place! They go to the camp for a week in the summer and come back with plates that get used daily and other cool crafts. It is always on the "can we go there" list on rainy days and I love how the stuff they make is uesful. read more

Very disappointed. My family and I visited the store over Memorial Day Weekend. My girls did have a great time painting their pieces. That is where the positive review ends. We were told the pieces would be fired in the kiln seven days later and then shipped to us. June 14th and still no pottery. I called the store first thing this morning to inquire about our pottery and left a message. No one called back. I had to call a second time and was able to speak with Jason. He was nice enough, clearly had received my earlier message, but didn't bother to call back. Said he had my pieces and would ship them today?!?! TODAY?!?! We were told they would be shipped immediately after they were fired in the kiln (which would have been 2 weeks ago). All he offered to me was "I got backed up on my shipping." No apology, nothing. Least they could've done was call and inform me there would be a delay BEFORE I had to call twice. The fact that he received my message today and didn't even call me back to explain the delay speaks volumes of their "customer service." Suffice to say we won't be back. They were supposed to be Father's Day gifts. Oh well. read more
