These guys have wonderful caring employees. I have been there numerous times now to wash my dog and they're always quite attentive. For $12 and all the shampoo and conditioner you need, it's a bargain I think. I've started buying my dog food there and it's OK price wise. Very friendly owner and they will order anything they don't have. BUT on 3/21/26 I looked online and they said they were open until 7pm. At 625 I arrived and the doors were locked. The sign on the door says 7pm. I saw 2 ladies in there working... I shopped next door and returned to my car to see both employees leave the store at 650. Just annoying!!! If you have to close early put a hand written sign up or something. read more

Hi Folks, I know, I know, its been too long since my last review. Well I'm happy to inform you dear intrepid reader that I have recovered from a crippling 3 year battle with carpal tunnel syndrome. But thats neither here nor there. (However I will say that for those of you dealing with hand pain, pillates and jump ropes 4 times a week did the trick!) On to the review, how many of you are like me and have to deal with a kitty cat that can be at times... difficult. I'm looking at you Marge! Yes, my kitty is a squeamish eater and refuses the same dish if eaten too regularly. That's where incredible pets comes into play. They have an exhaustive variety of canned cat food that keeps my Margery from throwing a hissy fit. And not too mention I the service, purrrrrfect! ;) Thanks for reading folks. 1 star for animal neglect. Pet stores are supposed to care for their animals, have pet-educated staff, and sell merchandise. This location only sells merchandise. Extremely disappointed and heartbroken after seeing the rats here today. The owner of this store is encouraging ANIMAL ABUSE by letting their rodents (and other animals) be kept in these conditions. Rats are highly intelligent, sociable, sweet animals. They are being kept like lab rats, piled on top of eachother with no bed, toys, or healthy food. Dirty bedding, a bowl of peanuts, and wires to lay on was the only thing I witnessed. They deserve at least A SINGLE TOY to keep them stimulated, since they're obviously not getting any socialization by employees (I was informed by an employee that they "didn't have time" to interact with them. Is that not anyone's job at a pet store? These rats were nearly fully grown, not babies. I wonder how many others have spent their short lives like this. I'm always torn with abusive pet stores because I want to save them but I don't want to support the business. Please educate yourselves and stop neglecting the lives in your care. read more

I called Incredible Pets today looking for a specific brand of kitty litter. The gentleman who answered the phone did not carry the product, but took the time to look it up and see if he could get it for me or find another place that might carry it for me. I really appreciated his willingness to be of assistance even though he did not carry the product. He also offered something similar that he did carry. This location has the absolute best customer service. Patrick, Bradley, Juliet and a couple of others who's names I failed to get were awesome. Took my very dirty dog there for a bath. Used the self serve dog wash and will use them again and more often. Store was clean and well stocked with pretty much anything you could need for just about any pet you have or want to purchase. Not big like a few other majors in the area but just good old fashion kind, respectful people who seem to go the extra mile to help you and make sure you get what you're after even if they have to refer you to some place else. Keep up the good work to the staff and to management, remember that happy employees are usually loyal, productive and the best asset you could have. I have shopped here before but hadn't been in recently. I purchased a leather type toy for my 14 lb 3 year old malti poo... He loved it but then I noticed him choking. Seems he was able to chew off small pieces...but not that small becauset they got stuck in his throat. Before I could get it away from him, he swallowed a big piece...then in a bit he threw up. I went to return it and get a refund...but when I explained the situation, the girl said she had to get the manager. The manager came over and just stared at it...finally I asked for a refund. He said "Oh, we don't do that". They have a policy not to refund for a chewed toy...even though it could have killed my dog. So I asked for the manufacturer's info. (Ethical Products out of New Jersey). I will write to them as well...but I am not going back to Incredible Pets if they don't care if the products they sell are dangerous. read more

Always preferred the auburn location so much so after we moved to Roseville we'd drive up to Auburn still. After today's experience I don't think we'll ever return. After driving from Roseville we went inside and patiently waited in line at a register for someone to come help. Everyone was busy or helping another customer which was no problem we just waited a couple minutes until someone was available. After waiting for a while, another family came in with three dogs and interrupted a busy employee telling them they wanted a dog wash. The employee told them of course and they'd help them in one second. I then spoke up and said I've been here waiting for the dog wash. I was then told I'd have to wait 30 minutes for her to be done with her three dogs even though I was there first and had been patiently waiting in line. This store sold us a bird that has serious behavior issues. We attempted to return him but they refused probably because he had been reformed or had come from a bad breeder or wild setting. I don't recommend purchasing any birds there. This bird is such a biter and he has not changed. We have attempted to teach and train him but to no avail. I have years of experience with parakeets and large parrots and have found his behavior very ingrained to his early years and possible mishandling. As I was waiting for my car @ Auburn Honda just next door, I noticed the store's sign, "Incredible Pets," - "Hmm, I just may have to stop by for a visit." (I drove about an hour in from Vacaville to this particular Honda dealership due to the fact that it's part of the Victory Automotive Group family... Iit's a crap shoot when it comes to finding honest, solid customer service & work when it comes to cars.) Plus, our "Pack," was running low on dog food. So, I figured since I made the hour plus drive out here, my as well explore the area a bit & make use of the trip. I was greeted almost immediately after walking through the door and within 5 minutes of being there I was asked if I needed help finding anything. (I must've been asked a total of 4-5 times if I needed help, now that's customer service!) Everyone was very friendly, professional, and willing to assist me if needed. Great customer service! Pricing: The price point here is a bit higher than most pet warehouses/specialty stores that I've been to. One thought is that there aren't too many shops like Incredible Pets in the surrounding area and given it's location along with the service it provides to the general community, it can afford to be. (Bus 101 - Price vs Demand) However, I also do believe in supporting local businesses even at the cost of a few extra $$. If I remember correctly, I vaguely recall seeing a sign regarding price matching... 'But don't quote me on that. If so, I'll need to remember that the next time I make it back to the area, which will probably be when I bring the car back for servicing. I must've spent 20-30 minute browsing the entire store... A big plus with me is the fact that they carry the Stella & Chewy's freeze dried line. 'Great find! I've been to a number of different shops since returning to the Bay Area and Stella & Chewy's has been challenging to find. (I think the only place that I recall seeing it was @ Pet Food Express in Fremont.) Stella & Chewy's is a great way to introduce or incorporate a "raw" diet to your pet. ("The Pack" loves it!) It is actually a pretty big store, carrying items for: - Dogs - Cats - Rabbits - Guinea Pigs - Birds - Fish - Reptiles - Horses (Smaller section) 'And as far as dog food brands: Eukanuba; Taste of The Wild; Natural Balance. ('Just to name just a few.) HAPA Boy, my bully-pit has a few allergies and Natural Balance's (LID), seems to work great for him. Albeit a bit pricey, when broken down to cost per meal, it's nothing compared to a $6, grande mocha. Good food, good health, that's good for everyone! Reminder: JUST SAY HELL NO to Chinese dog food or treats... 'Not just because of the health risks involved but after an hour the dog's hungry again. DO NOT buy pet food/treats coming out of China except maybe the occasional cheap name brand knockoffs but even then I'd be wary. - "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you got lead poisoning?... 'BUT that is the cutest Coach purse I've ever seen, it matches your colonic bag perfectly." It's not worth the health risk it may pose to your pet, vet bills, or possibly even death. Unfortunately there is no place for zero stars.. I have been going to this store for over 10 years and slowly but surely the service has gone downhill. I don't find most of the employees know much about dog food etc.... However it seems the other reviews are good.... Today I called to see if they had a brand of dog food in and I was told yes... asked what size I needed etc. When I went to pick it up, they didn't have the brand or the size.... I only use them when I'm in a hurry, and today was their final nail in the coffin.... She apologized over and over again; however I was in a hurry... so I had to go to another place for the food I needed.... When I got home, there was a call from the woman who messed up letting me know they'd have it "tomorrow"... I don't need it tomorrow, I needed it today... This is a lovely store. They really care about their pets and their customers. I bought a very expensive cat "tree" there several years ago. It could withstand a hurricane however the carpet got old. It lasted four years! So I bought another recently. Unfortunately it was made with very inferior carpet. With the cats just climbing to the top, the floor was covered with carpeting strings that were coming out everywhere. I took it back and explained that the one I had for four years didn't do this and I think this one they used an unfortunate choice of carpeting. The person who helped me was extremely understanding and practically apologized even tho it was in no way his fault! They gave me a new one without any problems. They carried it out to my car and my cats love it. The new one is perfect! I just really like this place. I trust them. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! None of the staff was on the same page at all. When I finally did get a call back from management it was monotone and rude. They disregard their policies and do as they please. We were told one thing over the phone, then after we spend over an hour scrubbing down the tank we were to return and box it up, we get there only to be told we will not get our full return amount, which they promised us over the phone. THEY SOLD US A TORTOISE AND TANK WHEN THEY KNEW THE TORTOISE WAS GROWING QUICKLY, AND WITHIN THE RETURN AMOUNT OF DAYS, ALREADY GROWN OUT OF IT! I have been going here for years now. My hubby who loves his aquarium and discus fish. And I buy Beary's food her. I have always encountered very friendly people and good service. Some people think it's a bit pricey, but hey I rather spend a couple dollars more and support local then going down the hill for cheaper. I bought mini parrot Paco 12 plus years ago and was told P would talk and although he has yet to do so (late bloomer?) I was pleased with the health of Paco. I buy P's millet and Rowdy Bush here and recently purchased two Zebra finches and talked with Bird Expert Linda about care/feeding; have also called about details and have been called back promptly with feedback. Finches Fran/Andy seem healthy and now I'm asking about Fran since she seems to be a mother so I'll expect a call soon regarding care of the babies. love this store. i shop at their roseville square, east sac, carmichael and auburn stores - every store is clean, with well versed sales staff. One of the things i like is that they KNOW which edible treats are made in china and which are from USA, which is important to me. (read the labels - many of those chicken and beef treats hail from china, even though they lead you to believe otherwise. AND sometimes, within the same brand, some things will be sourced in china!!). They are also well versed in dog foods, especially the more esoteric brands (read: expensive but worth it). I was at one location and they didn't have what i wanted (and had previously purchased at another location) but the clerk immediately offered to get it for me special order. I love supporting local businesses - this one is a sure bet for my dogs! read more

I used to come into incredible pets all the time, it was my favorite pet store-the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and they always seem to have what I need. Unfortunately, I went in there recently and was quite disappointed. Very FEW staff have much knowledge on animals INCLUDING the store manager. I have quite extensive knowledge myself and to hear them tell me incorrect information is really concerning. It seems to me that incredible pets is changing their system by hiring new employees who considerably seem to be "learning as they go." I am a long time customer at Incredible Pets, the Auburn location. That staff is always very helpful. The store is clean. The prices, though, are very high. I adopted a dog 6 months ago that is sensitive to just about everything on this planet so I went in to find a healthy diet that he could handle. I was helped by a very sweet and knowledgeable employee, Jovie. (I remember her name because it's so unique and beautiful!) She had me try Nutrisca, and my dog is finally doing GREAT on a dry kibble! Every time I used to come into this store I would always find her, and if she wasn't working whoever helped me was so helpful! They really know their products and are always eager to help!! Now, I say USED to go in there for a reason. On one visit I got so disgusted that I will no longer attribute to this business. I was doing some shopping one day, looking for Jovie for help, and when I found her I was taken aback. She was being screamed at - in front of everyone, customers and employees - by a woman I can only assume is the owner. After seeing this DISGUSTING treatment of an employee I, of course, talked to my friends and discouraged them for shopping there as well only to find out they had their own stories of how these people treat their employees. Way to be "about the community!" So this is my story on how you lost not one, but a handful of customers because of the owners being terrible, disrespectful people. I really hope Jovie gets a better job where she is respected as a human being, as well as the rest of the employees, and I hope the owners realize how well they have it. I'm writing to show my extreme concern about the staff at the Auburn,ca store and its complete disregard for the well being of its birds. In the span of two minute I sat and watched horrified as a conure, possibly a pineapple conure, proceeded to attack 4 different birds. I watched as a poor cockatiel screamed in anguish as it ran around the cage with the conures beak firmly implanted in its back. It then released and went after another bird who cowered on its back as the the bird attacked and did not let go. The screams went unheeded by the staff of 6 who sat around doing absolutely nothing. I mentioned it to who must have been a manager, not that she acted like one, who proceeded to tap her finger on the birdcage and in a petulant child's voice said " are you being a nasty bird" and walked away. Every single bird in the cage was terrified to the point where several were attempting to hide and had theirs faces pressed in fear against the glass. It was disturbing to watch however even more disturbing was the lack of disturbing or the slightest bit of compassion for these birds who are obviously being tormented day and night. Rest assured I'm looking into possible agencies to come and intervene should you prove to ignore this grievous situation. Any suggestions would be helpful. read more
