Both dishes I would definitely get again and again. Rainbow salad is a clear vermicelli noodle (made from mung bean) salad with prawns and ground chicken or pork in a lemon/vinaigrette fish sauce, topped with thinly sliced red onions, fried shallots and cilantro. This was my favorite dish and soooo good that I think I would order this every time I return here! It had layers of umami depth with just the right mix of spicy heat. Shrimp were sizeable and not overcooked and the ground meat was seasoned very nicely. Khao Poon is a rice vermicelli noodle soup in a coconut curry broth with ground chicken, topped with thinly cut cabbage, scallions, bean sprouts and fresh mint leaves. At medium spice level, there was still enough heat to satisfy those that like a higher spice level. Broth was perfect, not watered down nor too salty. The takeout order for this separated the noodles and veggie/herb toppings from the broth and chicken so it doesn't get soggy and you can assemble when ready to eat. Based on how well these two dishes were made, I can't wait to return to try their other dishes. They also seem to have some breakfast specials which seem really good, like a grilled Laos sausage with an omelette over rice.

Their lemongrass beef is really well flavored and covered in a generous amount of fresh lemongrass. Their portions were huge, the quality was high and the prices were great. Definitely an amazing value. Their pho broth was very silky with a nice amount of fat, not too much. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area and I would highly recommend this place to others. And oh yeah, there is a 50 cent packaging fee for takeout which essentially consists of a paper bag. The food makes up for a lot of the negatives. I've also tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew which were all delicious (with the exception of one time where I felt like they forgot seasoning but I will grant that forgiveness). The 528 (deep fried chicken wings), 317 (spinach with beef), 424 (eggplant with shrimp and pork), 746 (duck curry) are our favorites. Decided to try something new so we got the 745 (fish curry) and 855 (vegetarian duck with vermicelli)-which were both great as well! Perfect to polish off dinner with fried banana ice cream. The owner is also very nice and customer service here is always excellent! They do tend to get busy and there can be a wait during popular times, so be prepared to possibly wait. Even on a Tuesday afternoon, they can be packed!
