The empanada was good but a little greasy. The place is really tiny, only a couple of tables so it's more of a to-go place. We wouldn't have stayed anyway because the music was so loud I felt like I was at a dance party rather than a restaurant. The man who served us was super nice and made sure that we were well taken care of. I'll definitely go back and try the pepper steak and pork chops. Maybe they'll have alcapurrias when I return.

There were several young folks hanging out in front of the place, most ordering those cool looking shake drinks. I was greeted by staff after entering and trying to decide what I wanted for food. They also offer hot foods ready to serve & eat such as stewed chicken, pepper steak, rice, beans, and veggies. They accept cash, but no credit cards (Venmo and Apple Pay accepted). I noticed they offer small and large size dinners and I decided on a small dinner since the large size was huge. I chose Pepper Steak with white rice and beans, which came out to $7 total, nicely packed good into a cleared plastic sandwich size box. The food was really good with very tender pieces of stewed seasoned beef steak with potatoes, soft white rice and red beans. The small size was definitely just enough food to be full.

We were greeted by the owners, a husband and wife team, when we arrived and they welcomed us and told us that the inspiration for the business is the supper clubs in Spain, where the chef is from. We were guided to the dining room in the back, which was beautifully decorated with nods to Spain and sat eight comcomfortably. Once all of the dinner guests arrived, we were treated to a six course meal with different Spanish wines to go with each dish. They also explained each dish in its entirety, including the inspiration and region in Spain it's from. It was so awesome and getting to know the dinner guests was great too. They also reach out to each guest beforehand to find out if there are any food allergies. It was an intimate culinary experience that I highly recommend for adventurous foodies who are excited to learn about what they're eating. The owners are incredibly passionate about what they do and they truly pay attention to every detail. They also offer cooking classes so I hope to attend one of those soon. On my first visit, we ordered the pork chops and the pernil. The pernil was delicious--juicy, flavorful, and with the crispy top!! that my friend absolutely loved. The second time around, we both went with steak. I ordered the Bistec Salteado (sautéed steak) medium, while my friend ordered the grilled steak. Unfortunately, my steak came out well done. When I mentioned it, I was told that's how it's traditionally prepared Dominican-style. Needless to say, I wasn't happy and ended up not eating much of it. Caribe leans to Dominican and Puerto Rican dishes and those same dishes have a familiar feeling to my Filipino palate. When I visited, I opted for the Chicharron plate over yellow rice. The Filipino version of this dish is called Lechon Kawali. What is it? It's a carnivore's dream, a deep fried slab of uncured bacon. Repeat, deep fried pork belly. Other than foie gras or bone marrow nothing comes close to meat fat decadence than this stuff. It's bad for you but oh soooo good. The garlic sauce tries to cut through the fat but it's a losing game. There's a tiny bar next to the cafeteria style take out displays. There's also extra dining space and bathrooms up a small set of stairs. It's comfortable and clean in there. I liked the vibe. I'll definitely be back. I'm not getting the Chicharron next time, however good it is. I think people my age should only be allowed to have it once a year. If that dish is any indication, there are several items on their menu that will also satisfy.
