I requested quotes from more than thirty companies in and around Atlanta, Georgia for my move earlier this year. I went with Imperial XL Transport and here's why you should do the same. This company -- and in particular Alex (Owner/Mover), Dominique (Office Manager), Winston (Mover), and Zack (Mover) -- epitomizes the notion of going above and beyond the call of duty. Dominique handled all the pre-move correspondence, which included accommodating each of my preferences regarding the number of movers, the date and time of the move, and the locations. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly-responsive to all of my questions. I scheduled my move to begin at mid-afternoon. Winston and Zack arrived on time, with dollies, hand trucks, and moving blankets, and they were ready to go. They were attentive to my concerns over fragile items. They carefully wrapped all the furniture and framed art with thick, cushioned blankets; and finished loading the truck in no time at all. In short, they were exactly what you want in movers. We arrived at the new complex a few minutes before 6:00pm only to find out that the loading dock and freight elevator closed at 6:00pm. This was seriously unfortunate news. All of my property was in the trailer and now we had no way to unload it. Naturally, I was panicked. I was also concerned about the cost of having to hire these guys at the last second to come back for a second day, plus whatever it was going to cost for them to store all my property overnight at their warehouse. After a quick call to the office, Winston communicated the plan: he was going to retrieve some clothes and toiletries from the trailer to leave with me. They were then going to drive back to their warehouse and lock the trailer with all my property inside. Then, they would drive back up to the new complex the following day to complete the move. And here's what absolutely ensured I would never use another moving company again -- Winston told me that, with the exception of a small fee to cover the cost of the additional gas for the extra trip, they would be doing all of that for free. And that's exactly what they did. The next day, Winston and Alex came back and had all of my belongings in the new apartment, and all of my furniture reassembled, in less than three hours. If you are in the market for a moving company, I honestly cannot recommend Imperial XL Transport highly enough. From the booking process and scheduling through to final delivery/unload, this team was informative, came prepared, worked hard and were very courteous. Zack & Winston were phenomenal to work with as they moved our contents from one home to another. They were a joy to be around plus they were do detailed and careful with our belongings. I have used Alix and V to move and entire house full of furniture. During cOvid I got bored and I replace every piece of furniture In my house. All high end AICO and Phyllis Morris pieces. called them with no notice and they always accommodated. Onces asked them move a $10,000 chandelier with glass leaves and they took the time to build a crate to move it to ensure it was not damage. Moving is so stressful but they really do everything they can to make it easy on you as possible. Every time we called and had a question as our moving day approached, they answered quickly. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Hurricaine Ian moving in. In process of moving daughter home to Virginia from school in Georgia. So many things went wrong including being side-swiped by an 18-wheeler in a construction zone on highway while driving our uHaul. We were broken down only an hour into our trip and we realized this job was too big for us. UHaul came to our motel and was able to bend metal, replace tire, and get us back into shape to at least handle the trip home. We were unable to do the rest of the drive ourselves. I started calling for a driver and were given quotes from $2,500 to $3,500 and pickup dates 10 days out. I was feeling even more desperate when I received an immediate phone response to my request for quotes. Dominique with Imperial XL Transport asked if I would let her at least try to help me after I told her it didn't seem like this was going to be financially an option. I agreed. She called me back in about an hour and apologetically quoted me $1,200 and the driver would be able to leave in less than 48 hours!!!! I jumped at that!! Long story short... Winston delivered our truck in less than 48 hours! My daughter's plants are saved along with all of her worldly belongings. I cannot express enough gratitude to these wonderful people. Dominique is very caring and determined to help. Winston is a top-notch driver and just plain nice guy. I will never forget them being here for us in a time of great desperation.
