The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We would recommend KBR for any project that you might have. They painted over our brand new appliances, and had very limited respect for our home. They made very inappropriate jokes and conversations while I was working from home in the adjacent room, making me very uncomfortable in my own home. I would not recommend Modern Concepts, because Mike does not deliver what he promised in the finished product. His cost is much too high for what they can deliver upon.

He charges for luxury work and delivers far below what anyone can call luxury quality. He took twice as long has he said he would and my wife and I had to redo much of the finish work after he was gone. He constantly demands for more money and to be paid before our agreed upon progress payments. He spray painted our brand new appliances because he is sloppy and damaged our brand new wooden flooring. Bottom line we had to pay Mike at Modern concepts about $4,000 more than he quoted and he took twice as long and delivered a product that was not satisfactory. Plus during the whole process he was very unclear about payments and anything money related which makes him come across as untrustworthy. Save yourself time and money and do not go with modern concepts.

Rick responded to a call for an emergency roof tarp (to cover a leaking roof) just before a major…read morestorm. He came at around 4pm, measured the section we needed tarped, bought supplies, and stayed past dark to finish the work and rescue us. I can't comment on their other services, but this kindness when absolutely NO ONE else would help on such short notice saved me & (hopefully) helped prevent more damage to my house from this crazy weather. The price was fair too: no gouging. If the tarp holds, we'll definitely see what they recommend to fix the underlying problem when these rains stop late next week.

Don't waste your time…read more... This post is the accumulation of about a year and a half of dealing with these guys. It started off with them not being able to come out to measure or inspect anything while I was home. They touted their abilities, expertise and how they could easily remedy my leaking roof. The communication at this time was very spotty and challenging at best. They never really listen when you speak with them. This all led to them fixing the completely WRONG roof!! They tore off and "fixed" the roof that wasn't even leaking. When I called and informed them, they did come out to fix the leaking roof, but their initial mistake ends up leading to another leak in the roof that should have never been touched. I call, and call, and call, and text, and text, with no response, and what little response I get is full of lies and deception. They eventually come out to inspect my roof, caulk around everything, and claim they got the leak. A week later, still leaking. I call and text multiple times again and finally they send out a second group. This group finds that there's gap between the vent and roof. Enough of a gap to fit two fingers through. They did "fix" this gap, but the roof still leaked. At this point, the owner, Ron, assured me that there must be another leak somewhere else, that their roof wouldn't be leaking. However, he would personally come out and make sure to find the problem. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. He said multiple times he would come out, but never followed through. At this point, I am months from the start of the leak and guess what, I had to bring in another company to get this fixed. Another company who PROMPTLY came out and fixed the issue.
