The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We would recommend KBR for any project that you might have. This company installed granite countertops in my newly remodeled kitchen seven years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this at the time and ended up spending thousands of dollars repainting my cabinets, only to recently learn from another contractor that water had been seeping through the faulty seam all along, causing additional damage. When I contacted the company, they asked for $300 to reseal it, which feels unreasonable given that this appears to be an installation issue. I even offered to wait until they were working in the area, since it's a quick fix, but they were not willing to accommodate. I would recommend looking for a company that stands behind its work and provides better long-term support. Also, if possible, avoid placing seams near the sink--what seems like a minor detail can lead to significant damage over time.

They painted over our brand new appliances, and had very limited respect for our home. They made very inappropriate jokes and conversations while I was working from home in the adjacent room, making me very uncomfortable in my own home. I would not recommend Modern Concepts, because Mike does not deliver what he promised in the finished product. His cost is much too high for what they can deliver upon.

Bottom line we had to pay Mike at Modern concepts about $4,000 more than he quoted and he took twice as long and delivered a product that was not satisfactory. Plus during the whole process he was very unclear about payments and anything money related which makes him come across as untrustworthy. Save yourself time and money and do not go with modern concepts.
