The waitress was not wearing a mask and didn't even pretend to care when they had a sign up in their window saying they cared about the health and safety of their guests and would wear a mask the entire time they were doing business. We asked her politely to put a mask on, which she obliged, but then she was cold and unfriendly the rest of our time there. We stopped in on Saturday for lunch and were very disappointed. We've tried other Tahi places in town and the food was far better than here. I had the Larb, my wife had green curry & coconut boba. Larb normally has a mix of lime, basil and chili flavors, but there was no evidence of the first two, and overkill on the chili. It was a rather flavorless dish. My wife's green curry was a bit better to my taste, but my wife didn't think it was spicy enough (she asked for 6 out of then). The portions were good sized though. It was also unclear and confusing whether we were supposed to pay at the table or counter, as the waitress just dropped the check without comment. YUM! The Pad Thai is fantastic! You can ask for alterations on your dish like "no bean sprouts" and they always listen and give you what you want. Portions are huge and they will adjust the spice level for you. read more

We've loved this place for years and have tried to support them as it's a family business. But there are just some things that are awful. The food is amazing when it's not cold but the spice level is never consistent, i've gotten level 7s that weren't spicy at all and level 4s of the same dish that have burnt my mouth off. Don't go here if you're starving, pickup takes more than an hour sometimes, and by the time they put your order together some of the food is cold. When we've gone in, some of the plates are brought out like 20 mins after the first meal. We went today to get pickup and the cashier was angry and making side comments about everything, overall not a good experience, and greatly missing how amazing this place used to be. read more

We went here for my dad's birthday, it was 2:30, the restaurant was not busy at all. There were 3 off us in our party. There was a span of at least 30 minutes between when the first meal was put on the table to when the third meal was. There was a family who came in after we ordered and they all had their food before our 2nd and 3rd people's meals came. Food was great! I ordered the pad Thai with seafood medley, which actually included crab, calamari, and even octopus. It didn't seem like they were stingy with the seafood, and the food was great. This is for a take-out order: Exceptional spices and taste. Authentic Thai selections. The vegetables are not frozen and the noodles are homemade. Upon walking in it appears to be a mostly take-out place. There were people sitting down but the dining room is small. The counter and register are in the back of the narrow seating area so if you get take out you have to maneuver around people sitting at their tables, then walk back through with your bags of food. I can see how this would be very distracting for someone eating in. Definitely casual dining-in. The register was run by young teens, it looked like the parents weren't the kitchen- so definitely a family owned place. Will come again, but likely only for take-out. read more

After checking into our hotel (Super 8 in Billings) we didn't hold out much hope.. Sorry Billings, nothing personal, just a bad first impression. But we were pleasantly surprised by the staff + food at Imperial Thai. We felt awful walking in at 830pm (they close at 9pm) but they were more than friendly and welcoming. We took our food to go and were impressed with the portions, ingredients, the building / style and again, by the staff. We had the pad thai with beef and crab rangoon. Both were delicious. read more

Stopped by this restaurant on the drive across the country. Very unassuming family owned restaurant that serve surprisingly delicious Thai food in the middle of rural America. Great place, we would stop here again. I was going to give them 3 stars because they don't serve alcohol BUT, they do allow you to go next door (to Daisy Dukes) and bring back drinks for dinner! That worked well for us. As for the food, it was great. Recognize your in Billings and your ordering Thai food. It's not the best I've ever had but, it's damn good and the service is great. The owner comes by to check on you and the prices are really fair. When we were there, only one other table was in use but, 3 or 4 take out orders were going so, that's good. I love eating here and taking people here. The interior is simple and not over the top, the food is great, and the staff is welcoming and personable. Ordered to go. Food quality was excellent and definitely comparable to Favorite Thai restaurant in larger cities. Just as the reviews said, this place is fantastic! At the descriptive advice of our very nice waiter, we tried the spicy noodles and the dangerous chicken at levels 7 and 5. The stars were spot on, and the food was delicious. We threw in some Crab Rangoon and Eggrolls just because. All of it tasted so flavorful and fresh. The staff all seemed to work together, with each of them coming by at some point, inquiring about our needs. When we said the food was delicious, it was most awesome that they all genuinely agreed. It's unusual to find staff as big of fans of the food as we read in the reviews. We'll definitely go back when we are in the area. The fifth star was only held out because, although we didn't care a bit, the ambience isn't fancy. It was however, clean and the service was perfect. A great date place for us. read more

When was the last time you ate something so good that you were still thinking about it two days later. This is hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. I've lived all over the united States from California to Florida and I always search out good Thai food as it is my favorite. Tried massaman and Tom Kah soup. The food was marginal and the service was terrible. The waiter was very pleasant but my husbands food came out 23 minutes before my food was ready. My food was only ready once I went to pay for my husband's meal and leave. I remain empathetic to being short staffed but that empathy runs thin when I see there are 7 different devices taking to go orders at one time. I am also not a fan of witnessing one employee talk down to another, save that for a back room or have a private discussion. Unfortunately this experience will be a one and done. I generally need to check out the Tom Yum soup anytime I go to a Thai restaurant. This one is heavily mushroomed with a lot of cilantro and lime/lemongrass flavor. Stopped by for lunch.....ordered potstickers, imperial curry and chicken teriyaki. entrees came out first as our potstickers were given to another table. The teriyaki was very good. The curry was decent except WAY too sweet for me, but good shrimp. Potstickers finally came out and I wished we hadn't spent $$ on them. The were Costco potstickers, deep fried. Awful. We paid with an Debit card and the waiter/owners hand held machine gave me several percentages for a tip. I would have preferred knowing what the dollar amount was but whatever. Got home and a service charge of 3.99% was tacked on to my bill, for what I assume was using my debit card. Probably won't go back simply for that. read more

We had a delicious lunch here today after meetings that brought us to Billings had concluded. I had a combination rice noodle dish that was very tasty, and ordered it spicy at a level 5 out of 10, being cautious at Thai restaurants. Happily, I did it just right - it was spicy but not torture. My colleague ordered a Thai fried rice dish that she also thoroughly enjoyed, which is a high compliment from her, being from an Asian cooking family background. Generally, Montana isn't known for diverse cuisine but this place is worth a try, and we will be back next time we're in town. I will say that the ambience is not the best ever, and I kept trying to remember what this space was back when I was 19 or 21 or whatever... but the servers were super friendly and our lunches came out quick and we left happy and impressed. read more
