Don't judge a book by its cover...this is a hidden gem in Laurel. A family run Chinese restaurant. The food was very good. The service was friendly. The prices were very reasonable. Now, this is a no frills restaurant....the building and interior are stuck in 1988, some may say it's nostalgic, but if you can get past that they are definitely are worth trying out. read more

I just ordered 40.00 worth of food. One of my entrees, General Chicken, was spoiled. I typically like their food.

Read the recommendation online and went for myself. Very basic decor as expected but service and food was very good at a reasonable price. I had kung pao chicken combo plate with soup, wonton, and egg roll for minimal extra $. My partner had cashew chicken. Both were very good and enough to take home for later. read more

Stopped in for dinner it was great food. Looks kinda shabby on the outside but don't let that turn you away. Best food I have had for a long time. read more

Dragon Palace - Chinese Near Me - Laurel, Montana

One of my favorite places to eat in Laurel. Always fast, always delicious with great customer service.

Ordered the Mongolia Beef individual dish, it was nice and spicy. It was very good. Thank you.

We had almost lost hope. The Chinese restaurants in Billings were so bad. A friend suggested the Dagon Palace on W. Main St. in Laurel. My friend said it is not the most fancy place but the food is amazing. She was right. The place was not fancy, but it was comfortable and amazingly clean. The smell upon entering was heavenly. The woman who greeted us was so friendly and made us feel instantly welcome. I ordered the Sesame Chicken and my husband ordered the Happy Family. The Crab and cheese wonton had pieces of actual crabmeat and both entrees were wonderful. The meals seemed a bit expensive until you saw the size of the portions. We could have split an entree and had leftovers. If you want fancy, don't go. If you want great Chinese food in a clean, comfortable atmosphere, by all means go to the Dragon Palace! Personally, my husband and I can't wait to try the other entrees. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, and I was disappointed that they were out of duck, but the supply chain is an issue everywhere. This place has the best egg drop soup ever. I really enjoyed the slivers of water chestnut in the soup. I had an individual combination dinner with moo goo gai pan, an egg roll, crab angel, and fried rice. It was all good. The service was friendly and fast. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise in a small town. read more

Food tasted like it was ment for a thanksgiving mashed potatoes. Just regular gravy! I got verbally abused by an old Asian lady named Amy! All because I asked for some hot mustard. Told me it would just give me heartburn. Place was filthy. Never again. read more

If anyone thinks this is good Chinese food, they don't understand good cooking. The food is not fresh, it's bland and greasy. I have never had such horrible food. Both the previous owners and the new ones do an "American" version of Chinese cooking and it's terrible. Mitchell SD has a Chinese restaurant next to the Comfort Inn called Twin Dragons. Best Chinese food I've ever eaten. Ate there between 6-7 pm on a weekday. Very fresh and tasted excellent! read more

Under new owners now, really nice waitress, husband and wife team. Great food!! Had broccoli beef it was so fresh and the broccoli was perfect. Service was great. Everything was so good I ordered Cantonese fried noodles w/ chicken To-go for dinner in Billings later.Highly recommend trying Dragon Palace. read more

Dragon Palace - Broccoli Beef - Chinese Near Me - Laurel, Montana

Best Oriental Food in the Billings/Laurel Area that isnt greasy and makes you feel bloated after you eat it!

A little gem for Laurel. Give the complete vibe for Chinese food in MT. Quite good food. Prompt service. Fair prices given the price of food these days. Would eat there again! read more

OK, my daughter and I call this the scary lady Chinese food place however I think that she can be nice. She is just so busy(?). Anyway we like the food here, surprising to have a Chinese restaurant in a small town like us. My favorite(s) are the Aromatic chicken or shrimp. Sometimes her husband comes out and he is just a doll, even when she is chasing him back into the kitchen. LOL Yes the place could use a good cleaning or maybe removing of some items. I did notice when we were there end of October that they have done some work. Removed some unneeded dividers so the place is a bit lighter. read more

I was in the mood for some MSG free Chinese food. I am from out of town, so decided to give Dragon Palace a shot. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. It is really good. The veggies are fresh and tasty. I will be back read more

They gave me a big bowl of sweet and sour sauce instead of hot and sour soup. The food is just not good. I ordered orange chicken and they gave me sweet and sour chicken tossed in orange sauce. Gross. read more

Love this place. It's the only Chinese restaurant that we eat at. The owners are fun to talk to...the wife remembers us and always asks about my kids. Their lunch combo meals certainly fill you up at a great price. read more

Laurel Montana, right? Traveling from Indiana who would have thought we would end up in a Chinese restaurant, but we were in the mood for something other than burgers or steak. I love Chinese food and have eaten my fair share, and this might be the best I've ever eaten! I had the Kung Pao Shrimp combination dinner, and it was so good. I can always count on taking half of my dinner home, but my plate was empty. While Laurel Montana might not be a destination spot, if you ever find yourself there be sure to stop! read more

Food is awesome! Huge servings of fresh, well prepared, great tasting food! Amy is funny. We make this a regular stop for dinner, both eat in and take out. Don't pass it by! read more

The worst experience, for us, by far was stopping here. The restaurant was just dark and dirty. Slow service and rude waitress/ owner. She embarrassed one of my boy's because he didn't order fast enough. Food was tough and bland and cost $70 for the 4 of us to leave and go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money at this place. read more

We were treated horribly by the owner. She was rude and yelled at us. Th restaurant was filthy. I will never go back to this place. It should be shut down. read more

By far the Best Chinese food around. You get a lot of food with every order. The pot stickers are huge, a meal in its self.

I have eaten at Miss Amy's for years. Best food around, and the best egg rolls for sure. Kent Potter

The place is dumpy. They have not dusted or cleaned any of the pictures recently. The man working here was nice. The lady on the other hand was abrupt, rude and could not manage a smile. She could not recommend a dish to try. The food was ok, not great by any means. I will not come back to this place again. read more

Yuck! Skip this place. Apparently there's a much better place in Billings. Soup was lukewarm, everything was swimming in a nearly gelatinous sauce, including the "plain" lo mein noodles we ordered for the kids. My shrimp with vegetables was made with obviously pre-cooked, frozen shrimp that wasn't heated through and was tasteless and rubbery. Truly awful experience! read more

Awesome food. The people are nice as long as you're not the type to have attitude with the employees. Nice mom and pop feel. Eggrolls are huge and delicious. read more

Love the food. A great place to dine in or take out. Very friendly staff. Would eat here everyday if I could. The portions are huge and I always have enough to take home for a second meal. By far the best place to eat if you're coming through laurel! read more

Decided to give Chinese a try on the way to visit family in ND. This is with my wife and four kids 2 yrs to 10 yrs old. Seemed like a safe enough bet being a smaller town and having a group of Montana license plates parked outside. Upon entry... We notice that there was no "special" posted anywhere- a trademark of most of the Midwest and small restaurants. Also, notice that things don't appear to be very clean or contemporary. Not filthy just kinda grungy. Prices seemed a bit more reflective of what I would've expected in a more metropolitan area(and fancier restaurant) not central Montana. The main waitress (owner? Chinese lady), seemed to severely lack personality and could easily be described as just plain not nice. She seemed impatient and had demeanor that put me feeling like she really could care less about us as clients. The soup order was messed up (we didn't say anything), the soup was at palatable temperature but almost for sure below the required 140 degree holding requirement. I almost never not finish what is put before me, but the soup just was not very good. The rest of the food arrived quite quickly, and was only what I would call "ok". Rice seemed to have an off flavor, orange chicken, and another chicken dish rather bland, seemed to be deep fried then smothered in sauce as an attempt to bury a deep fryer off flavor. Redeeming food component was a beef and rice noodle dish that was fairly tasty. Food quantity was decent but probably not as much as some of the other Chinese places we frequent. The tab was calculated wrong (that or wrote so badly we couldn't tell the difference), I paid cash with a more generous tip than they deserved; just so we could leave quickly. Right after the rudeness we felt during the order placing, we contemplated getting up and walking out; kinda wish we would have. Subway or PizzaHut would've been better. We will for sure pass this one by next time thru. read more

With such a shortage of Chinese food around the area, I thought to try Golden Dragon. Eesh.....what a wasted trip. Their buffet is so sub-par, it was not worth a tip or the trip. Just very underwhelming for what you pay. Meh. read more

I went to order food here for the 11th time since moving to montana and wanted to try the almond chicken. When I received it it was not what I was used to, it was kung pao chicken with almonds instead of peanuts. I was very polite and apologized to her and told her this was not what I was used to, could I please select a different item, she started screaming about how she was from california and this is how they do it. I told her I realized this, but could I please have something else, she continued to scream at me in public about how she has been doing this 15 years, I had to repeatedly try to hush her without yelling to calm her down. She refused to sell me food anymore, gave me my cash back, and asked me to leave her restaurant because I wanted something else, and had asked her to please stop yelling. Please, do not give this kind of person your business, no matter how good the food is, it doesn't make up for someone with a hateful, and rude heart. read more

My family has eaten at the Dragon Palace for many years because we love the food! It's one of the best Chinese restaurants around as far as the quality of their food goes, and definitely one of the best restaurants in Laurel. Plan to take some of what you order home, because you get lots of food! The wonton soup is wonderful, and the sesame chicken is amazing. "Miss Amy" (the owner, along with her husband) can come across as abrupt at first, but she is a crackup -- and very sweet -- once you get to know her. read more

Food is ok. Owner is awful. She lets you know if she's not happy with your order and informs you what you may have and oh!- you can't share bites or you will be charged. And she apparently doesn't understand how to reply to hello or thank you. read more
