Bottom duck tacos Middle tuna tar tar Top crispy rice
Jacob F.

Great atmosphere with unbelievable food. Serious the Australian wagyu can never go wrong. Along with the duck tacos. Top 2 best dishes with the pork fried rice right behind. The drinks were okay but nothing to rave about. We had a lychee martini (good) and the matcha latte cocktail (not our fave) Valet parking in front of the restaurant makes it convenient to not worry about palm beach parking. The service is fantastic, very on top of it our server was kind and helpful always refilling drinks and moving plates. Highly recommend!

This has got to be some of the freshest sushi I've ever had! I'm a big sushi lover with trying many places all over the country. Imoto at Buccan has got to be on top of my list. Michelin where're you at? This needs to be a Michelin restaurant asap. Kassandra my server was extremely nice and had great recommendations. She made sure to check on me after each bite. I was sitting at the bar and the chefs were quick and thorough in their processes. 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely be back!

This was my first time visiting Imoto. They have valet parking, but we were able to park for free on the street 1 block north of the restaurant. It's a small restaurant, but we were warmly greeted by the hostess when we arrived. There were real candles at each table, and we were immediately offered tap or sparkling water when we sat down. The lighting is very low, so we both struggled a little reading the menu. I ordered the Bordeaux wine, and it paired well with my dinner. We were also given warm wet towels to clean our hands before the food was served. Our server, Grace, was super nice and made great suggestions for dinner. We ordered the peking duck tacos to share as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and had a nice blend of flavors and textures. I liked the crunch of the carrots and crispy duck skin. For the main course I had the Wagyu ribeye with white rice. It was tender with a mild flavor. The barrel aged soy sauce glaze went well with the steak. My husband had the miso cod lettuce cups. He said they had a unique flavor. He liked the lettuce cups, versus a lettuce wrap. Our favorite part of the meal, hands down, was the bananas foster butter cake with graham cracker streusel, caramelized bananas and banana-rum ice cream. That was probably the best dessert I've ever had. The warm chocolate chip cookies with sea salt were also good. The bathrooms were immaculate. It was a little hard to talk due to the noise level in the restaurant, but maybe we're just getting old.

My favorite restaurant in the Palm Beach area! First stopped into Imoto a couple months ago, and have found myself going once a week, ever since! The restaurant is dimly lit, and always has a cool/fun music list playing (always a "vibe"). Completely different ambiance than its neighbor, Buccan, on purpose. Easy to park, because they offer complimentary valet. The sushi here is FRESH, the flavors are unique, and the service is 10/10. Carly is usually our bartender (we eat dinner at the bar just to have her) and she's phenomenal. She has radiant energy and always makes our date nights fun!! On top of her great personality, she'll put a twist on any drink you want (makes exquisite drinks). Sammy and Ashley are also excellent bartenders with fun personalities. Over the past few weeks, we have tried the Peking duck tacos, lobster potstickers, hamachi sashimi, tuna tartare, hamachi crispy rice, Galbi marinated Australian wagyu beef, special nigiri (yellowtail, tuna, Japanese snapper, uni, bluefin toro, seared yellowtail, seared king salmon), and classic nigiri (yellowtail, bluefin toro). My absolute favorite items on the menu are the lobster dumplings, crispy rice hamachi, and the special nigiri- however EVERYTHING is great! For dessert, you can't leave without ordering the chocolate chip cookies with Malton sea salt (with the addition of an ice cream scoop and/or glass of milk). The cookies are sprinkled with large chunks of sea salt, and come out of the oven warm and gooey. All the plates are small, but relatively good sizes (more food than expected on each). Definitely a pricey restaurant (although fair), but I think this is the only restaurant on the Island that is worth the price, and the hype. Will continue to return here weekly! Note: you can order off the Buccan menu, while dining at Imoto!

Quaint little restaurant next to its big sister Buccan. The food was solid. We had the lobster pot stickers, crispy rice Hamachi, galbi wagyu beef, Pork belly, fried rice ,seared main diver scallops. Seared king salmon nigiri, seared scallop nigiri, bluefin Toro Nigiri, Super salmon rolls, and another one with tuna. Wine selection by the bottle was excellent but I tried the SoFloTokyo cocktail because it was different (pistachio). Maybe too different for my liking. Ambience was ok- Tables are a bit close to each other. Service was attentive.

If your ever in the Palm Beach area and are looking for some quality Nigiri Imoto is the place for you! Between the ambiance and the quality of the fish you really can't go wrong! Not to mention you can also order off the Buccan menu! Service was great, waters were constantly being refilled and empty plates taken quickly. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you get the chance!

Fantastic restaurant to try! I had been to Buccan before and then later learned about Imoto. Both are amazing restaurants! I particularly enjoy the fact that they have complimentary valet, specially considering the parking limitations around the area. Upon entering the restaurant, I just live the look and feel of the place. The dim lighting and limited seating allow for a really intimate experience, yet not too stuffy, and with great lounge music at just the right volume so you hear it but it doesn't compete with listening to your companion. The entire staff was perfectly attentive, allowing us to chat, but checking in regularly still to ensure we had anything we needed. The menu options are well varied, and you have some great options to choose from, with flavors that really challenge what you expect to taste on the dish. I was completely surprised and perplexed at how carefully structured the dishes were, and completely taken by surprise with the savoriness of some of the items I ordered where I expected completely different flavors on my palate. The fish was extremely fresh, and perfectly balanced across the different variations that we had. Really epic experience!

Always amazing and attentive service! Food is delicious,…read morebeautiful presentation. The toro roll is my absolute favorite, fresh and simple, it's perfect. The deep fried roll was delicious and not oily but still crispy. The crispy rice is also one of my favorites. The restaurant is small and quaint, low lighting perfect for a date. By the…read moretime Saturday night rolled around, I decided I was taking myself out to celebrate surviving the chaos. After a quick Yelp search and a TikTok deep dive to confirm the vibes, I found the spot. I walked in around 6 pm for an early dinner and grabbed an open seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the two guys behind the bar who were so welcoming and brought me a complimentary cucumber salad to start. It was fresh and tangy and honestly the perfect reset after a long day. Of course I ordered a lychee martini right away. They make sake-tinis here so they are actually made with sake instead of vodka and it was so freaking good. Slightly sweet, super smooth and definitely on the stronger side in the BEST way. I started with the yellowtail with serrano. The fish was insanely fresh and buttery!! The serrano gave it just the right amount of heat without overpowering it. I also ordered a few pieces of nigiri which came in pairs: yellowtail, tuna belly, and salmon. Every single one just melted in my mouth. You could really taste the quality. I tried the salmon and avocado hand roll too and this was one of my favorite bites of the night. The salmon was so silky and the avocado perfectly creamy. The seaweed had that fresh snap to it...I love that it adds a little texture and saltiness that balances everything out. Handrolls are so simple but so satisfying!! At one point I saw them making crispy tuna rice in front of me and immediately had to order it. Literally the best crispy tuna rice I've ever had. The rice was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside but still soft inside, topped with spicy tuna that was fresh, flavorful and the perfect spice level. For dessert, the guys behind the bar suggested the donut balls and I'm so glad they did. Warm, fluffy little rounds coated in cinnamon sugar with icing on the side for dipping. They were BEYOND! What really made the night though was the atmosphere. So many regulars coming in and out, all greeted warmly by the owner, who was working nonstop behind the sushi bar the entire time. There was such a strong neighborhood feel. Even the guests seemed to know each other. They even had live music playing outside. It was a whole vibe! I left completely full and a little tipsy off my two martinis, smiling to myself. One of the best meals I've had in a while. This place is special.

The outdoor patio is beautiful and such a great setting for a brunch date. Service was also solid across the board, attentive and pleasant, nothing over the top but everything flowed well. Food-wise, everything was good, just nothing that really stood out. We tried a mix of dishes and while they were enjoyable, nothing had that "I need to come back for this" factor. I was especially excited for the crab rangoons since I had seen so many great things about them, but they ended up being a bit of a letdown. They were light on the filling and the wrapper texture wasn't my favorite. The rest of the dishes were consistent, just more in that "solid but not memorable" category. We tried the beef tataki, Bulgogi noodles, and a couple sushi rolls. Overall, I'd come back for the ambiance and the patio alone, but I'd probably explore different menu items next time around.

OK, so the poke tacos were not that bad but they don't do fried rice very well. I ventured here with some heffa that I don't even talk to anymore. But that's another story. The service was OK, they need to get their reservation system, right. I made reservations, but the heifer got there first. She said she used my name after they called me to inquire if I was still showing up. I had been there 45 minutes. The ambience is nice. It's dark. It was a Saturday. They were very busy. We only got drinks this time and we picked the lychee martini, yamazaki swinger, and the Lua Pele Scorpion Bowl. The vodka and the sake in the lychee martini didn't go to well or it was just a bad mix that day. But I was not a fan of the drink. The yamazaki swinger was very watered down and we barely tasted the whiskey. The Lua Pele Scorpion bowl wasn't much of a show and while the drink did taste good, it was mostly filled with decorations. It's supposed to serve 2-4 people but after we took all the decorations out and poured the drink into a cup, it was barely a full cup. I'll definitely give it a try again as I'm not sure how the food was and maybe it was just an off day for the bartender.
