My favorite Thai spot located in Northwood, West Palm Beach. Most authentic Thai around and the service is always amazing. Love Malakor Thai Cafe!

This is the DELICIOUS warm pumpkin custard topped with Taro ice cream. It's dessert heaven!

Malakor is STILL killing it with their food. My sister was in town for three weeks in December and said our lunch at Malakor was her best meal, and she ate at a handful of pretty swanky places with her rich, old college buddies, ha ha. She's always liked it and we never skip a December lunch there, but this recent one really was off the charts. We ordered two specials off the board: crispy duck red curry and soft shell crab Panang, with a side order of fried rice. I love that their fried rice is fluffy and not at all greasy. The crab and the duck couldn't possibly have tasted better. The employees are always marvelous as well, and sitting outside makes it that much more enjoyable. Bravo to my favorite Thai, and I'm so very lucky to live nearby Malakor!

I ordered takeout but I'll be back for the sit down experience at Malakor Thai Cafe. The restaurant is located on the trendy Northwood neighborhood. My food was ready when I arrived and that was before my expected wait time. I had some sushi rolls the spider roll and the Malakor special roll everything was delicious and met expectations. I'll definitely worth the trip.

Wonderful. I was wish family, so wasn't able to snap any photos of our food. I had miso soup (hot, aromatic, perfect) and money bags (crisp, fresh, vegetarian). Fiancé enjoyed papaya salad with fried tofu that had the perfect amount of crush. Our aunt had red chicken curry and brown rice. We all loved our food. Service was quick and friendly even very close to closing time. Outdoor seating area is large and decorated with care. They're in the valentine's season, currently. Back at our hotel, we chatted with a guest who also enjoyed the restaurant and even excitedly asked, "did you sit outside?"

Thai food is good! Malabar Thai is amazing! I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and when the opportunity finally came, I'm glad I was able to! Parking is a bit of a challenge as there's only a small lot shared with an adjacent business but you may be able go find street parking as we did. I love that the menu includes creative specials listed on a board outside! While there was outdoor seating available, we opted for inside and really liked the simplicity but intentionality of the decor. I started off with a salad that came with the entree and the ginger dressing was one of the best I've ever tried. We ordered the crab fried rice and I was soo excited to see that they had Chiangmai noodle soup! I can only think of 2 other restaurants in Palm Beach that offer it and this one was one of my top 2! I ordered it with a 3 spice level and it was perfect. The crab fried rice had nice chunks of crab meat and was amazing! Our server was excellent making sure our glasses stayed full and we got refills as soon as we needed. Great service is what solidified the 5 for me! I really enjoyed my dining experience and cannot wait to return for lunch and dinner.

Five star again, this hidden gem, beautiful presentation. Delish food never disappoints. Great after the Manatee Lagoon

Always a great experience at this spot! Highly suggest making a reservation because it's an intimate spot with limited space. The food is always amazing and never disappoints!!! A definite go to spot when looking for authentic Thai food in West Palm Beach.

Found this place on Yelp and wanted Thai for dinner away from the beachside tourist traps. We really liked the decor here; once you step inside, the atmosphere is very Thailand and relaxing. I especially love the back patio area but it was a bit chilly for us to sit there. The staff here were awesome and I have zero complaints. One suggestion or criticism is that they did not ask us for the heat level for all of our entrees. The food was delicious with superb flavor in all but the spice level was super mild and inconsistent. The Penang Curry had the most spice and I would rate it as super mild. My Pepper Steak had no pepper heat at all, but still had abundant flavor. So if you are not asked about the spice level, you may want to insist on having that conversation when ordering. I would definitely come back here regardless of the spice issue, the flavored were incredible.

Super fast and friendly service! The spring rolls and summer rolls were good. Tried the duck pad cha, pad Thai and another noodle dish. All were absolutely delicious. Would love to come back next time I'm in town!

This has become my new favorite sushi restaurant. However the pho is by far my favorite thing on the menu. I wish I've taken photos of every meal I've gotten here but as a new mommy I just completely forget about photos n focus on my little one not getting to my plate before I can lol. The service is always amazing n very helpful with my babies need. I absolutely love the outside seats minus the mosquitos. This spot is a must try!!

Excellent! Visiting the area and this place was recommended. I had the Chicken Pad Thai, a ginger salad, and edamame. All very good. The ginger salad is one of the best I have ever had. Servings were large, hot, and staff very friendly. Highly recommend

Excellent food and service and nice ambience and fast service earns this place a 5 star.. their salad and fried fish are the best followed by vegetables fried rice .. wish fish portions were larger than what we got.. highly recommend this place if you like Thai cuisine

By the…read moretime Saturday night rolled around, I decided I was taking myself out to celebrate surviving the chaos. After a quick Yelp search and a TikTok deep dive to confirm the vibes, I found the spot. I walked in around 6 pm for an early dinner and grabbed an open seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the two guys behind the bar who were so welcoming and brought me a complimentary cucumber salad to start. It was fresh and tangy and honestly the perfect reset after a long day. Of course I ordered a lychee martini right away. They make sake-tinis here so they are actually made with sake instead of vodka and it was so freaking good. Slightly sweet, super smooth and definitely on the stronger side in the BEST way. I started with the yellowtail with serrano. The fish was insanely fresh and buttery!! The serrano gave it just the right amount of heat without overpowering it. I also ordered a few pieces of nigiri which came in pairs: yellowtail, tuna belly, and salmon. Every single one just melted in my mouth. You could really taste the quality. I tried the salmon and avocado hand roll too and this was one of my favorite bites of the night. The salmon was so silky and the avocado perfectly creamy. The seaweed had that fresh snap to it...I love that it adds a little texture and saltiness that balances everything out. Handrolls are so simple but so satisfying!! At one point I saw them making crispy tuna rice in front of me and immediately had to order it. Literally the best crispy tuna rice I've ever had. The rice was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside but still soft inside, topped with spicy tuna that was fresh, flavorful and the perfect spice level. For dessert, the guys behind the bar suggested the donut balls and I'm so glad they did. Warm, fluffy little rounds coated in cinnamon sugar with icing on the side for dipping. They were BEYOND! What really made the night though was the atmosphere. So many regulars coming in and out, all greeted warmly by the owner, who was working nonstop behind the sushi bar the entire time. There was such a strong neighborhood feel. Even the guests seemed to know each other. They even had live music playing outside. It was a whole vibe! I left completely full and a little tipsy off my two martinis, smiling to myself. One of the best meals I've had in a while. This place is special.

I talk about the "curb-to-table" experience frequently. In my former role as a Delta Air Line Captain, I recognized the curb-to-plane challenges our customers encountered. Chef Conley has created a friendly and welcoming experience from curb-to-table. It starts with the complimentary valet. Finally. Finally. I learned about our regular valet: MANNY! Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. We do not wish to be labeled as stalkers. Probably one of my longest reviews. I love seeing hard working people succeed. What this team does for the community is simply breathtaking. The outdoor patio is beautiful and such a great setting for a brunch date. Service was also solid across the board, attentive and pleasant, nothing over the top but everything flowed well. Food-wise, everything was good, just nothing that really stood out. We tried a mix of dishes and while they were enjoyable, nothing had that "I need to come back for this" factor. I was especially excited for the crab rangoons since I had seen so many great things about them, but they ended up being a bit of a letdown. They were light on the filling and the wrapper texture wasn't my favorite. The rest of the dishes were consistent, just more in that "solid but not memorable" category. We tried the beef tataki, Bulgogi noodles, and a couple sushi rolls. Overall, I'd come back for the ambiance and the patio alone, but I'd probably explore different menu items next time around.
