I received a couple tattoos here from Jimmy last week who has done multiple of my previous pieces as well. They all turned out excellent and I do appreciate the care he provides. However, this review is concerning a tattoo that was done on my friend that I brought along. Cait was the artist. She completely overworked a simple shoulder tattoo on my friend and left her scarred. The linework seems fine, but the shading was completely butchered and way too deep. I've experienced this myself with only 1 of my 50+ tattoos from an artist that does not know how to pack color into dark skin. After do a bit of digging, I also found out that Cait is tattooing Confederate imagery on people and posting it online for everyone to see. If I had know this was the artist that would have tattooing my black friend, I would have said fuck no and made her wait for Jimmy. It is okay if an artist does not know how to tattoo color on dark skin (or in Cait's case, probably doesn't want to), but to go ahead and do it anyway while posting racist imagery is questionable at best. Extremely disappointing and hurtful as a repeat client. read more

This is only directed at Cait Stell, the shop itself looks like it has other great artists I do not have any problems with. Cait Stell took a $100 deposit from me and an extra $65 payment towards a piece I scheduled and never got. She was late to my appointment, drew up lazy sketches I did not want to pay hundreds for and when I asked to tweak the second design she claimed she was sick and did not draw well when sick so I agreed to rescheduling. I tried to reschedule with a new spot over the next few months as she claimed my original spot was too difficult to work with, but I lost my job so it never happened. Come October I started asking for at least the $65 back via email and got ignored a few times over the span of 2 weeks. I tried texting the number on her IG and was also ignored. She only responded when I sent a Zelle request and it was to claim I was harassing her, she told me she lied about being sick to get me out of the shop for being "uncooperative" and told me I could waste more gas and drive another 2 hours to her shop for $65 cash since she didn't have a debt card. No idea what a debt card has to do with Zelle, but obviously she can see the requests and just wants me to show up in her territory to be bullied. This started in June and it's now the middle of December. I still haven't gotten even the $65 back even tho now I want the full $165 back since she told me she lied to my face. I'm certain a deposit is in place to make sure the artist's time isn't wasted...I'm also certain it was my time that was wasted and to be met with this attitude over the rejection of two sketches is pathetic for someone whose job it is to make art for a living. I had so much respect for Cait that work from her was considered a birthday gift, now she is just a POS and a thief to me. I want my money back so I can give it to another artist who actually respects me and my time. read more

My tattooer (Zack) was extremely unprofessional! He sat me down and did not tell me what the price was going to be, so that he could up charge me at the end. My tattoo took less than 30 mins, and he charged me $200 for some super small dots and lines on my fingers. Do not go to zack unless you want to be up charged :))))) go anywhere else. With so many great shops in AZ, it's hard to pick one as "the best". Immaculate, however, is seriously in the running for the top spot. Aaron Coleman is one gifted motherfucker. His work is instantly recognizable from afar, full of bold shapes and bursts of color. Aaron's charmingly demented mind can lead to some cray-cray shiz if you let him off his leash, but he also respects the less uninhibited souls such as myself. His Orienlal and old school work is flawless. Plus - huge PLUS - everyone there is super nice and friendly. Including Aaron, whose degree of talent could let him get away with being a total diva asshole if he wanted to. Rest assured, he is the opposite. Prices are perfectly reasonable and on par with comparable shops in the Valley. There is usually a hairy wait list, involving booking months in advance with a cash deposit. As others have said, this isn't all bad, as it gives you time to refine your idea and save up the cash. (and by cash, I mean it literally - no credit card machines here) read more

Ron tattood my forarms like 5 years ago and the edges are just as sharp as the day i got them. when people ask me where i got my tattoos i tell them with pride, "Immaculate, the best shop in the valley" i know alot of random people who have sleeves from aaron and the detail and colors are just amazing. saving up some cash...i really want to go back asap. :) from what i've heard Aaron commends a fairly good chunk of change, so i marked it as pricey, but i don't remember it being all that expensive when i went. plan ahead, i think there is a waiting list on Aaron 6+ months. read more

Aaron has tattooed both of my arms and most of my back. His work is amazing. I can honestly say that a week doesn't pass where I don't get at least one compliment on one of his tattoos. He has a long wait list at least several months out, but that gives you time to plan and save your $. My brother has had some work done by Ron, not sure if he is still there but his work was great too. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. read more

i got tattooed here while visiting a friend in summer 2005. by corey, i think. a year and a half later i'm still extremely pleased. the color has held wonderfully, and corey (sorry, if i got your name wrong! it's been a while) was awesome in general. he gave me tons of extra shading for only $100. with the time i spent in his chair it should have cost quite a bit more. i'm always getting compliments on the quality of my tattoo, in fact, this place has sort of spoiled me for others. i'm worried that i won't like my next tattoo near as much. 5 stars for the tattoo itself, but minus one star because i saw a flash on the wall that was misspelled, and that's just wrong. read more

hands down the best shop in arizona... i'm probably biased, but the atmosphere of the store just does it for me. the guys are all professional and take their work very seriously, but they are the sweetest guys ever! their work is just that....immaculate. their styles are so unique and they are all so talented in their own niches. all i've gotten are compliments on the work i've had done. my upper back is covered in ron and aaron's artwork. my husband has a finished sleeve by ron and is working on his other arm. his legs are covered in aaron's work. the coloring is amazing and the attention to detail is just the best. i really can't say enough about this shop. their artwork speaks for itself. read more

I started working with Josh Carter when he was at his previous shop and of course followed him to Immaculate. What an amazing shop!!! Just walking in to get work done I was stunned at the amazing art thats all over the walls and ceiling. The owner Aaron Coleman is one of the most down to earth and honest people Ive ever met. There is a reason that his shop had done so well over all these years. This is the shop that all other shops in the area respect and try to be like. Ive been working with Josh for a couple years, he is an amazing artist and one of the best at drawing out traditional and japanese pieces. In a few years I see him being recognized as one of the best in the world. Every artist here is very experienced and very knowledgeable of the history of the industry also. They are all very talented. Mando Rascon is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and all of his work is very very clean. I dont know Jat Cavna personally but from his work he is amazing also. I've been into many shops since moving back to AZ trying to find an artist to get some work done, with Luis Campos at Immaculate being the first I've encountered to understand what customer service means. I was surprised at the availability as the only other shop I could get someone to talk with had a 3+ month wait. Luis said he could get me in that day! I ended up coming back a few days later to a design that flowed and looked far better than anything I could have come up with, while still keeping with the themes I had floating around my head. It has healed quicker and with less scabbing than any other tattoo I've had and am already receiving compliments and people asking where I got it. Be sure to bring cash, and if you steal his lighter you're an asshole. UPDATE: He ended up having to move out of state due to a family emergency. read more

I have never had a tattoo. I had been trying for about 2 years to find and artist and get an appointment. I went to several shops and some didn't have time for weeks so I would let it go and every few months try again. I really wanted to follow through with the tattoos I had been wanting. Josh was GREAT! He was honest about helping me understand why the changes he would make would help make the tattoos more time less. He did an amazing job! If I ever get another tattoo it will be from Josh!
