We've been coming out to IMI for years, mostly because there are limited options in this area, and the kids enjoy coming here. I personally can't say I share their enthusiasm, but we continue to come because they enjoy it. That said, I honestly don't understand the recent price increase when the overall experience and facilities haven't improved. For one bike for a 10-year-old, we paid $30, which feels pretty steep for what you actually get. The track itself may be enjoyable for the kids, although I personally think the tracks could be better, especially compared to others throughout the state. Either way, the amenities and overall experience for spectators simply don't justify the increased cost. There are extremely limited shaded areas for parents and spectators. There's basically one small area with shade in a large, wide-open space where most people are sitting in direct sun. More shaded seating would make a huge difference. And the bathrooms are a major issue. The porta-potties are consistently disgusting, there wasn't even toilet paper available for the women. That is a pretty basic amenity to expect at a facility that is charging admission. I also honestly don't remember seeing a trash can anywhere, which makes the lack of cleanliness even more frustrating. I could understand an increase in price if there had been meaningful improvements to the facility. For example, there is plenty of room for at least a couple of pavilions since the tracks are spread out, or even just some additional benches and shaded seating. Cleaner, properly stocked bathrooms, additional porta-potties, and adequate trash cans would also go a long way toward improving the experience. But as far as we can tell, literally nothing has changed. And this isn't a complaint from someone who showed up once and had a bad experience. We've been coming here for years, and I actually left a review two years ago with the exact same complaints about the dirty and unstocked porta-potties. Two years later, we're still dealing with the same issues. The kids want to continue coming, but if you're going to increase the price, then the quality of the amenities and overall experience needs to increase as well. At $30 for one kid to ride one bike, I just don't feel the cost reflects what you're getting. Hopefully some of that additional revenue can actually go toward improving the facilities and making IMI a better experience, not just for the riders, but for the parents and spectators who spend their time and money there too. read more

I married a tomboy who is 72 years old now. She really wanted an adrenaline rush and have some good old-fashioned fun, so she went to IMI motorsport complex in Dacono. she had an absolute blast, just with the doctor ordered. The people there were extremely helpful. They helped her in and out of the go kart and really took care of her. It is so nice having young adults take care of seniors and watching the seniors have fun. This place is definitely senior friendly. My wife has been there twice now. Highly recommend. read more

We have been here twice so far with our son and our 2 dirt bikes. Granted, this is coming from someone with not much experience riding off road vehicles, but I love how there are different sections for the different levels of experience. There is a small beginner track which is mostly a flat loop. There is so much space to explore and you can even just watch the pro level riders catching some serious air to pass the time if you're just there to watch. I think the price is reasonable as you can stay as long as you want and there's no timed length of stay. There are no official restrooms, just portapotties. Plenty of places to just park your car, unload and get to riding. We love this place! read more

Great 1st experience here! We went for my husband's 30th birthday with a few people to ride the fast go karts. The staff were all friendly & helpful! It was $40 per person for 10 laps (they probably really did a few more than 10 laps). Our group had a great time riding! We waited a little while, as others were there before us, but we had no problem waiting. I would suggest going and expecting to wait a little bit (not a big deal). The other options/tracks at IMI seemed awesome too. Cool place! read more

This place is ridiculous. It's hard to find a place to begin, however, it all begins with the extremely unprofessional staff who like to harass potential customers and current customers. However this is only the start of the issue, the real issue stems from the pathetic owner who permits his shitty employees' behavior. On top of despicable customer service, their track is maintained horribly. Went here for my first time EVER riding on a track and after my experience here I will say I will NEVER ride on a track again. Had quite the experience here. First time ever riding track and will definitely be my last. We pull up to this dump and noticed a sign that said please pay at office. Unaware of where the office was we headed where all the cars were parked at. After we parked and unloaded our bikes to go find the office we were approached by an employee in a truck. He started the interaction by aggressively demanding that we pay immediately or "get the hell off our private property." We told him that we just needed to put an air filter in so we could get our bikes over to the office which was not clearly visible to a first timer. As the level headed and respectful persons we are of course we headed straight over to the office. Once at the office 4 employees were standing at the door with eyeing us down as if they wanted to fight. I approached the man who had yelled at us before and told him that it was our first time at a track. After a few minutes of bickering I was escorted into the office by an employee who clearly didn't like the direction of our conversation, seeing that his employees were in the wrong. Once I paid my $26, the employee wrote down our names and began to talk about me to my fellow rider behind my back. We left the office and began to ride the tracks. With unbelievable disappointment we noticed how horrible the tracks were and their conditions are. Left the dump about 30-45 minutes later. WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH DIRTBIKING. This is a great track. They have several dirt tracks and a nice 1.2 mile road course. I won a state championship here racing go karts a few years ago, now we use this track to teach motorcycle riders how to drag their knee on a track. It's very safe with good runout if you blow a corner. Much safer than trying to push it hard in a canyon. Speed Safe read more

Came with my 10 year old daughter riding a street bike and my ex husband who is disabled with one arm. We did two sessions out before being told by the manager to get a rain check and come back during the week where there's less traffic. We came on the weekend for a reason, because that's when we are off. The manager insulted my ex telling him he's in no shape to be riding. He rides perfectly fine, and would be riding faster if it weren't for trying to teach my daughter. We paid as much as everyone else and should able to ride even at slower speeds while teaching my daughter to ride. This is a small beginner track that's perfect for teaching. Maybe if the faster bikes aren't capable of watching for slower riders and riding accordingly they shouldn't be on the track. Or maybe they need to go to a larger track that's not for smaller slower bikes. We've been to this track several times prior to ex husband losing his arm in a motorcycle accident. We've been out with a large group of fast riders we normally rode with and my daughter who was only 7 at the time on a pocket bike was more than welcome there with the fast riders. Not sure if they have new management or the guy just wanted to be a jerk today or what. But we won't be returning. read more

We rented out the track for a couple hours for a bachelor party and had one of the best experiences racing around the track for an hour. The complex itself is huge and everyone was beyond helpful when we got there. The karts we got to use were fast and perfect for our skill level. We were in the intermediate 60 mph karts. The owner let us split the $600 an hour fee between all of us, and considering the karts and hour rental it is a decent deal. We got to drive for an hour straight before being rained out, and it was seriously one of the best guy activities I have ever participated in. The only down point is that the helmets, race suits and gloves were a little tore up from being used on the track. Overall I would definitely recommend IMI. read more

I've never had as much fun go kart racing than I did here. Besides the one spin out I had the karts are extremely fast and easy to control. The only few problems I had is it's hard to find gloves that fit your hand and the suits are worn out and scratched/torn. But other than that it is definitely worth it. The races are about average time with each lap going anywhere from 1 minute- 1 minute 20 seconds. The employees were very helpful, funny and nice. If you plan on visiting Dacono or Colorado in general I definitely recommend doing this as the karts are a great family event. While waiting we saw a few sports bike tearing up the track and the dirt bikes going at it. There's so much going on that you'll never get bored. 10/10 or in this case 5/5 for me read more

Awesome place to rent go carts!!! I went to the Unser karting the day earlier and felt like I wasted money after running 20 laps here. If you have any race course knowledge of cornering without spinning out or going off the course, this the place for you. You are fitted with helmet, neck brace, fire suit, and gloves. The carts do not have seat belts as most professional racing carts do not have them either. This is as close to true racing carts as you can get. If you go off the track or hit another cart, serious injury will occur. But enough said the risk, this place was a blast and I will be making another stop when I fly out for my next ski trip. 5 stars. read more

I am SO done with this place. Management, staff and facilitates have really gone down. My last review was probably too generous, but now having ridden at other tracks I can see how bad this one is. Went yesterday, staff was more worried about closing up than taking my money, the ATV track is downright DANGEROUS. Has not been groomed in over 2 months, there are rutts, loose pockets and no clear route through the track. Looks like they just dumped a bunch of waste fill dirt with rocks all over the place. I wont be coming here again. Save your money and go to another track. read more

Went here to race the Karts and was blown away by how fun it was. Awesome mile-long track with a long strait away into a tight hairpin. If you prove to them that you can handle yourself with the intro karts (which still around 50 mph) then you can graduate to the trully hair raising 80 + mph karts. These aren't your fun center karts, this is motorsport! read more

We love this place! Fun for the family and my kids friends. The staff are friendly and professional. The Kats are great for everybody and when we have time we bring dirt bikes and play in the dirt (or mud) We have brought our lunches and spent many hours just playing together. read more

Great fun for the whole family. We've enjoyed this place for years. The land is great as are all of the people who work here. My only beef is they allow the side by side machines (on one track only), which throw so much dust and sand in the air that we've had to start bringing dust masks and still my lungs and eyeballs hurt. There's not very many tracks left in Colorado. IMI preps the main MX track frequently and is always open. It's also nice when they make changes so everyone has something new to ride. I definitely appreciate having a track to ride pretty much anytime. read more

Its still nicer to have this place around rather than it just not existing at all. That being said, the general riding areas are under maintained. The pro MX track is nice and appears to be prepped some of the time. There are unsafe indentations all over the "beginner" track, and for anyone that is actually a beginner, I feel like its not a good place in general to be at. The price is ok for what you get, I think if it got any higher than $15, I'd hardly ever go. Staff is nice. read more

IMI is a great place to spend some time and even more money. The race track is VERY large and they offer shifter kart rentals for every skill level. They supply all the gear that's needed and give you a run down on the track rules. Next thing you know your burning fuel at 60 to 70 mph (100+ if you rent the 125cc shifter). The karts could be a little better maintained but they're still fast and you forget all about in when you're flying down the track. They also have a motocross track and many other activities. Brought my employees to this facilty for emplyee appreciation day. I called a few days in advance and even stopped by to make sure we couls race go carts for sunday morning. They assured me that it was open and clear even though they do not take reaervations. Upon arrival with my entie company in tow, they said they had it rented out and we could not race. I of course was upset and asked the owner if there wasanything he could do and he was very rude and said come back later. I will never go back and would highly suggest anyone considering going pick somewhere else more professional and organized. I will never ever come back. read more

Poor work and sloppy work that could kill a person on the road. It's scary to have any work done by the Harley shop in Laramie Wyoming Hi country motor sports. My son had his motor rebuilt by them from bottom up, And had a quote of 2700.00 dollars and was told it would be done in a timely fashion and price would not go up. Well it took over 2 months and 4000.00 dollars. When he got it back it leaked oil bad from the oil pump, I had it looked at for him and it was the main line to oil pump the fitting to oil pump was cross threaded so it leaked and wasn't getting proper oil to motor so that was number one wrong with it, here's number 2 The push rod was bent only after 10 miles, I had it looked at for him and sure enough it was bent the Mechanic said it was because of it was adjusted in-properly TO tight. Ok so he bought new push rods at a 100 dollars for a set as they don't sell one each, and cost to put the push rod in 100.00 dollars. Ok here's number 3 the voltage out put was over 14.5 volts so it blew out the headlight and taillight and it took out the electronic ignition, ok headlight is 14 dollars and tail 2 dollars and the comu-fire electronic single fire ignition is 350.00 and had to replace the voltage regulator at 120.00 dollars and paid labor to do it all 100.00 a hour so all together is 680.00. Now number 4 the motor is not alined correctly shakes very bad so have to pay for that to be done. Number 5 lost 4 bolts one out of inner primary and 3 out of outer primary, and the inner primary is striped out so they striped it. Number 6 top back rocker box is leaking real bad. Ok number 7 the air in the tires the rear tire had 55 pounds of air in it and front tire had 37 can you believe that much air on a motor cycle tire wow. So all total of cost so far is 880.00. And 7 things wrong what else could be wrong hum? So if you were my son what would you do? Contact them and get them saying its not there fault and have them fix it and take months and 1000.00;s more of money ? Contact the BBB and the county attorney of faulty work that could kill a person when riding an unsafe motor cycle? I guess we will see if he doesn't do anything I will ,being a concerned father of his son riding a unsafe motor cycle. read more
