My wife's iPad2 took one too many tumbles (with help from toddler) and finally broke the screen. Since it was way out of warranty I went looking to replace the screen so we can get another year or two out of it. The iMasterTek website has clear pricing and a 90 day warranty if you pay the extra $20 to get OEM glass. (which is thicker and harder to break than the aftermarket glass anyways). The shop is now located in a crappy little strip mall, but is professionally done with a large waiting room and a television to watch if you want to stay and wait for your repair. I was on my lunch break so headed back to work. A couple hours later I got a call that it was done and I could pick it up before they closed at 6. iMasterTek did a wonderful job and it actually looks better than it did before the screen broke. All the corner had been dented quite a lot and they smoothed them back out in the process of replacing the glass. The iPad 2 looks almost brand new, and if there is any problems I have 3 months to bring it back in. Totally worth the $130. Of course I could have gone cheaper and did the aftermarket glass for $110 but it only has a 7 day warranty, but an iPad screen replacement for just over $100.... awesome price. So while the shop location is semi-crappy, they probably have low overhead costs and they pass that onto their customers in lower than average pricing and great customer service. I pulled up iphone repair on Yelp and saw that MasterTek had 5 star reviews so drove over there to have them take a look at it. The gentleman there was very nice and had it up and running again within minutes; some sort of glitch that I couldn't figure out but he fixed it in minutes. He went over the pricing with me so I would know exactly what I am paying and know there were no hidden fees like a lot of places like to charge AFTER fixing the screen. I tried to see if he was open this past saturday (memorial weekend) through online reservation, and he texted me within the hour that he was closed. I was impressed with the speed of service on the weekend, much less the day he was closed. Dropped my iphone off this morning, and it was finished by noon for pickup. I came across this company while searching for a repair shop for my iPad mini. Reviews looked good on yelp and it's near my house so I checked them out. Brought in my iPad and showed them the cracked screen and button that kept sticking. They gave me an estimate and told be it could be done by tomorrow. The next day they called me and let me know they didn't have the white screen for my iPad in stock but they could put a black one on it and have it ready by end of the day. He explained once I put my protection cover back on it I wouldn't see the color difference so I agreed. When I went in to pick it up they gave me $10 off for the different color screen and also $5 off for having Yelp. Overall a great experience, I did not compare prices with other stores so I don't know if I got a good deal or not but the customer service and experience was great and that's what is more important to me. Fixed both my broken iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s screens in a couple hours. Was about $20 cheaper than anything else I could find online. Had two options of screens, original or aftermarket. I went with the original for both. 2 months later and my phones still work perfectly. I also bought a used iPhone 5 for my wife from him for much less than I could find on eBay. Nice guy. Honest business. 5 stars. Showroom was very plain but is expected for a start up company and private business, which I am sure will be updated with time and $$.
