They worked with me to replace or fix it several times. In the end I wasn't satisfied and they refunded me for the screen. I came in to get an iPhone 5 fixed after it crashed because of an update & was told that it probably just needs to be reset which would cost $20 & take 40 minutes to do. I came back about an hour later & was told he was behind a little bit & to come back in another half hour. When I did I was told that the main computer was out so it's not possible to reset & is not worth fixing since it would cost the same as a new phone. I was still charged $20 for a service they weren't even able to provide. When I said I didn't feel like I should pay for a job I couldn't get done the owner mentioned he can call the police & have them make me pay him for attempting to do something that was ultimately not even done. Since when can an establishment charge for a service they fail to produce? Also, the owner was rude & had an immature attitude when I respectfully tried to explain why I didn't think I should pay for my time being wasted. I regret coming to this place. read more

Val is amazing! My iphone stopped working at all due to a software glitch with about 8 months worth of pictures of my kids, including precious memories of my 1 year old. We've tried go through apple tech support and apple store, all of them said sorry, cant recover your pictures because you did not pay for backup icloud services, only option is delete and restart as a new phone. After about two days of crying every single time i would think of my pictures, we've decided to go to Val. And WOW, not only i've got all my pictures and videos back, but also got an advice from Val how to get my phone working again. And of of that for a ridiculously small amount of $. My previous review was incorrect about the price that I was charged - it was $120, not $500 as I thought I remembered - I had confused this company with the next place I took the computer to. I added a star for that reason. The thermal paste did not solve the problem which is why I'm not adding more than one star and the reason I needed to take the machine to another company. My opinion of this company may also have been influenced by hearing other computer companies dump on the work done by the first one. I'm not sure if this is standard or just a way of eliminating competitors or if the thermal paste really was an improbable solution in the first place. Anyway, Val didn't over-charge me. read more

iMasterTek saved my MacBook Air! I have used iMasterTek for several years now. Yesterday was a special case. I happened to spill nearly a glass of water directly unto my MacBook Air's keyboard. Within 2 seconds my laptop shut off. I shook off the water and immediately called iMasterTek. Val responded recommending bringing the laptop to him ASAP for a thorough dry-out job. As I came, he right away informed me that there are no guarantees. Water damage could have either killed the laptop entirely or might have caused major damage to individual parts. For over an hour Val was taking the entire laptop apart, drying every electronic part there is. The water was everywhere! Special skill and equipment was needed quickly before major damage occurs. iMasterTek was able to provide that for me. I am super happy! Everything ended up working perfectly. My laptop was restored to the condition it was in before the spill. But, even if it wouldn't have, I would still recommend iMasterTek to others. This place kicks ass. Why? Because they get the job done very quickly and at a fair price. The counter guys know what they are talking about and they don't bother you with up selling crap you don't need. "What's the problem? Okay, we can fix it. Give us about an hour." DONE. I live on the opposite end of Sacramento and still travel to them for repairs. I hear they will be doing mobile repairs soon. You can give your repairs to some kiosk in the mall, my repairs will continue to go to iMasterTek. read more

We had two iPhones with poor battery performance. A 6 and6s. David replaced both within a short time. The new battery in the 6 works great and solved the problem. The 6s battery held power but phone turned off randomly. Called Val and he has return quickly after the holiday. The 6s replacement batteries were generally not available but he found a solution. Very fast, relatively cheap compared to places like best buy, and very nice and knowledgable gentleman at the desk. My only wish is that they had a larger stock; after getting my phone fixed I would have loved to buy a screen protector but it was out of stock. I'm sure once the store gets rolling and started up they'll have more items available. All in all I was quite happy. read more

I never use Yelp to GIVE reviews but have to make an excuse for this place. I found it back in March and went in to have two phones repaired: an iPhone 5s with a shattered front screen and an iPhone 4s with a broken lock button. Both were fixed in less than an hour (and faster than was estimated) and we got a discount/package deal for bringing in two at once! The 5s looked brand new and the 4s worked like new. I've only had my iphone 5s for about 2 months and it was already messing up on me (flashing red battery and usb). I had taken it into the apple store and after waiting they said my warranty was voided out because I went to someone else to get my cracked screen replaced. They then said they refuse to repair the phone & handed me a dead phone. I still had no idea what was wrong with the phone as they just basically let me go and said "good luck with a broken phone." (they didn't say that but you know.) I left there with no results and I was pretty disappointed. I googled up locations and I found this place with awesome reviews. I called in an hour before closing and he told me to come in and he'll get me out asap. I went in, and guess what? it was just a bad battery!! he had to replace my screen too, but then it's ok... as long as my phone is back to normal! screw apple, i'd go to this place any day over apple. read more
