Pricing was the best in the area, and was all-inclusive of everything we needed (other than of course a DJ and photographers). They alleviated so much of the headache of planning a wedding, and dealt with everything for us. They supplied everything, from the fully decorated room, beautiful furniture and tableware, the linens (which we got to pick), the cake (which we also got to pick), and an exquisite meal. The food tasting was fun. Of course, it wasn't the food we ended up selecting for our wedding, but the food at the tasting was so delicious, and meant to give you an idea of how food will be in preparation, freshness, quality, etc. The tasting was amazing, but our actual meal at the wedding was even better! The rooms were all so beautifully decorated, it was difficult choosing which we liked best. We went with the one that suited our guest count, and our wedding theme (Mardi Gras). There was more than enough space for the ceremony and seating, and afterwards for dancing. We had a beautiful area for the cake too. I had brought in all of the little extras I wanted placed on tables, etc., and they set everything up for me. They made everything so easy for me, which is so helpful during the high-stress periods. The food was incredible! Very high end catering, and delicious! Lighting and colors in the room were perfect for our special day. We have hundreds of photos and videos that all look just amazing. Our event host was also very helpful and gracious, and stood by to make sure everything went perfect - and it did! All the workers were so fast, meticulous, organized and on time. We had no issues whatsoever. We did have a significant credit at the cash bar for our wedding party, but we forgot to tell anyone, so ended up losing that money - oh well. Also the loss for guests who RSVP but did not show - but that's not the fault of the venue on any level. We couldn't have been happier with how wonderful this venue was for us. It's sad to see all the negative comments. We had no issues and everyone had a fantastic time. I recommend this place to everyone I can! One day when we are celebrating our 10 or 20 year anniversary, we will be coming back for another beautiful party! read more

We have attended many functions at Imagine That. From Weddings, Quinseanera, baptisms, Birthday Parties and Graduations!! Four of my Family members have had parties here. The Halls are beautiful! The Victorian Room to me is the best one!! The way they decorate their parties looks absolutely beautiful!! There food is great!! I would like to say that I had my wedding at Imagine That in March of this year last month actually, and it was more than I could have ever imagined! I knew the decor was going to be super nice but it was beyond beautiful and more than I pictured it to be. I worked with Hilyam and Jimmy the owners frequently discussing plans and ideas up to the final day. They were always extremely helpful discussing the decor, assistance and the food etc. The food we chose was the Chicken Lorraine and Tri Trip with peppercorn, I completely recommend! It was sooo delicious and our guests agreed and we kept receiving compliments the next couple of weeks from guests at the wedding telling us how great the food was. Which we all know is extremely important as you want to make sure your guests are well fed and you will not be disappointed and come to find out they also cater events outside the venue. Our wedding coordinator Yeselle was wonderful! Very organized and kept everything in order including the schedule and always took care of us even when we were thirsty brought us our drinks right away. And of course with the help of Hilyam the owner who I love, she has a wonderful personality always easy to talk to and like I mentioned extremely helpful with ideas for your wedding. We had our ceremony and reception in the Broadway Room/Manor Room it was perfect for our vintage theme, I nearly cried {or actually I did} when I took my first look at it. If you want to have a birthday party, quinenera any type of meaninful event this is the place to be and celebrate, it's perfect and I can't say enough how happy I am we had our special day here. If I could leave less stars i would , my work had our Christmas party here and it was awful. They ran out of food way early and what was served was not what was originally promised. It was supposed to be chicken Marsala and what they gave us looked like it came out of a can. The bar was awful they had nothing to mix cocktails with and the bar tender had an awful attitude she flat out said to us "if you have a bottle out there I will confiscate it ". Without reason she said this. It was seriously awful experience my work has already been in the phone with the manager. The crappy DJ didn't play any of the music that was requested. This is not the first time I attend an event here, the first time my cousin had her wedding here later I found out what a disaster rip off it was to have it at "imagine that!" Well this time it was a baby shower and now I knew all of the details of what went wrong and yet again, they nickel and dime us...this establishment needs to reconsider the hiring process and rehire some energetic, friendly staff because those who worked the bar on Saturday Jan 31, 2015 were extremely rude and acted as if they didn't want to be at work that day. Let me start with the Horrible customer service, the lady in charge at the bar was very rude to every guest not just a few of us. We felt like an inconvenience to her by asking for more water pitchers to be brought to the tables. It also was a burden when asking her if we can be given a bowl to serve the salsas that we brought from home to serve next to the nachos. The tables were supposed to have pink napkin linens as outlined in my contract and when I arrived to the venue there weren't any pink napkins there were white ones and when asked where the pink ones were, they said "we don't carry them" so I'm confused as to why I was told one thing when I paid a deposit on this location and got another at the time of arrival! In the contract it states fountain drinks are apart of what was paid and to my knowledge a soda such as a coke qualifies? or any other sodas that were readily available could also qualify as fountains drink correct?! According to staff it did not include drinks such as Coke or Sprite those were to be paid in cash. That was a rip off for my guests, because not everyone is okay with drinking water or brought money to pay out of pocket an additional fee to drink a fountain drink. This discrepancy could have easily be resolved if I had my contracts with me; however I didn't because I never imagined there would be such a problem upon arriving...and of I will be returning to be reimbursed once I show what was stated via the contract. Assuming sodas are served with carbonation? Am I right? That's what a soda is a carbonated drink however, when receiving the soda it had zero fizz and no carbonation and I'm sapposed to pay for a flat drink??! That makes me think the sodas were either old or were recycled from a previous opened drink now flat and served to all guests. Overall, this baby shower held here was beautiful because, of the candy display which was purchased outside the venue from a independent party and that made my day not every little encounter dealing with the venue staff. I can't imagine anything else going wrong here?! And the name of the hall is called Imagine that?! Now I really can't imagine how all these things went so wrong... At the bar they didn't have stella the beer I wanted, so I asked do you have rumchata they again told me no! So I was thinking what else can I order that they would have. I took my time to think what I would want to drink and the entire time the lady was just starring at me like a deer in headlights... Uncomfortable as if I was waisting her time and there was nobody in line behind me so it wasn't as if I was taking time away from anyone else's either. The guest list was supposed to be for 100 people only 80 people showed up so that meant that there was food left over, they didn't offer to give me what was left over or even ask what should we do with left over, since it was already paid for. Not sure what happened to the food if it was thrown away or what but, they only served the food for 40 minutes and the food was sapposed to be out for much longer, the contract was said to leave food out for one hour and then once their 40 minutes of food service was up they just took it all to the back of the house and did whatever it is they did with it...This place should not conduct business if they have poor customer service and clearly incapable of organizing an event to which was clearly coordinated by an unexperienced coordinator. I played a wedding at one of the three "event halls" last month. We were in the Manor Hall, themed to resemble an old southern mansion. I don't know what caused this, but the bar smelled of garbage, it was quite noticeable. While not as bad, the rest of the room smelled like garbage as well. The Tequila Lime Chicken tasted a bit like the chipped beef on toast we got fed as kids. The London Broil was cold. Beers were $4, mixed drinks $8. With three halls going at once, expect to find zero parking anywhere close. If you insist on having your event here, specify in your contract as to the cleanliness of the place and the quality of the food, be warned... read more

My sister had her wedding reception here quite awhile ago, and everything seemed to be great. So when it was time to plan my graduation party (also quite awhile ago) my family and I decided this was a good choice because it's pretty much a one stop shop. Wow, were we ever wrong! Even though we booked 6 months in advance and paid all our deposits, the day before my party we received a phone call from the owner's son advising us that his parents (the owners) were out of town, and they double booked the room. IMAGINE THAT! Although they offered us another room at another location up on Foothill and some appetizers to make up for their tiny mistake--we were livid. Invitations had gone out with the 9th Street address and people from out of town were coming in, so we had no choice but to take whatever they could give us. We managed to herd all the guests to the Foothill location, where the bathroom continuously emanated the odor of sewage to the dismay of our olfactory senses, but luckily the location of the dance floor on the other side of the dining room gave us a well deserved reprieve! Needless to say we had a chat with the owner upon their return, and they gave us half our money back. However, the damage was done. I got married last year, and obviously, chose to steer clear of this place. Go to Double Tree, no run to Double Tree Claremont and see how true professionals operate. I attended a wedding there about two weeks ago. This place was awful. Everything was run down and dirty. The carpet looks like it has never been cleaned. I find that awful for this being a venue for multiple events. The food was horrible, as well as the service. Every one had an attitude, especially the bartender. All of the facility that it was in, was disgusting. I was told about the dressing rooms and they were just as bad as the parts i saw for myself. The Women's restroom was nasty. It looked like it had not been cleaned from the last event, or any other. I understand people worry about cost. But, there are many other places that are low cost/can fit anyone's budget and the quality is still high standard. I advise people to shop around. Don't pick this place even as a last resort. My sisters fifteenth birthday party was held here. It was actually very nice. The "enchanted forest" hall we chose was very nice. The tables were set up very nicely as well. The food came out very delicious (which is rare for rental halls). The bar was ehhh. Back in the day people were allowed to provide their own drinks and just pay for the hall. People now have to consider bringing their credit cards to parties now. The way I was raised, if you throw a party then you provide the food and drink, so I'm not a fan of the cash bars at parties. read more

On July 26th my organization did a fundraiser. Imagine That came through in a very big way. They were flexible with us as we only had a short time to plan our event. The food (Tri-tip, Chicken) was absolutely incredible. We had two servers and both were extremely polite and worked really hard to ensure each and every person was treated as a special guest. The facilities were very clean, in fact when we walked in the room was in immaculate condition. I am still receiving rave reviews from our guest we had at the fundraiser. Hugely disappointed with #ImagineThat for not having the Bridal suite ready for our wedding day, despite promises that it would be. I should have known better, since they always had an excuse as to why I couldn't see it yet. Had to pass on photography while getting ready and had to have Bridal party dress elsewhere. I missed out on that whole experience of girl time and talking and that sort of thing with my bridesmaids, and the few moments I did get in were not captured, because the crowded storage room was not only NOT camera ready, but too small for my entire party and my photographer. I missed the moment when my dad saw me for the first time, and I didn't have a chance to change into my reception dress...SMH...but I made the best of it for the night. ..a night which was cut short by an hour, again despite previous promises. Unfortunately, I had already contracted the DJ for that extra hour, so I can't get that refunded. Despite all of this, another local business reaped the reward, because we moved the whole party there where we ate the rest of our cake and drank and danced and had a good old time until 2am. I've recently attended my Daughter & Son-In-Laws Wedding Reception at the 9th Street location. Please make sure you receive ALL important details IN WRITING before your payments. First of all, our "tasting" was NOTHING compared to the dinner actually served that night...and we all agreed. The pasta was overcooked and barely warm. As soon as the last person was served they closed their station immediately, claiming they ran out of food...even salad...but were told that there would be plenty of food served for seconds, "before we paid", especially because we paid for 150 guests, but only confirmed 130. Many things tend to "change" once they receive your money.... such as on the event day...one staff lady TRYING to collect extra money for requesting a table for their gifts. WTH? Of course, every party requires a few "extra" small tables for gifts, etc. Other than ONE of the staff members (Blonde hostess), they are all very rude and careless to your needs. The venue looks very nice and is affordable but like I said....GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING and don't expect the food to be as good as their tasting plates, it wasn't even close. read more

We had our company Christmas party there on Friday Dec. 16th. I was extremely disappointed not only in the food but also with the poor customer service we received there. we received a huge amount of complaints from our staff about how bad the food was and how rude the bartender was! which is very upsetting to us because we had heard such great things about this place! not only was the portion of the food extremely small it also wasn't what we ordered, even though the staff insisted it was. its unfortunate because the man who we had booked the party with was very nice but the lady we dealt with that night was so very rude! at this point we will not recommend this place! read more

It has been almost a year since we had our event here. It was an awesome experience. The party room was perfect. The perfect size, very clean, and they set it up beautifully. The owner (James) was very helpful. Planning was easy. My husband, myself, and several others called with questions in reference to planning and James was very accomodating and informative. Not once, in planning or during our event, run into any issues. James and his staff are very courteous and respectful. The party was in our budget with everything included in price and contract. We had our own caterer but the option of the menu they did offer was well priced. They setup and cleanup which is a plus. We had plenty of setup/cleanup time for our belongings and guest. The time we had with the room was perfect. Location is excellent. No issues with parking on site. The audio and video was really an awesome addition to our event. We added our own D.J. and photobooth. The party was everthing as expected. Our guests had so much fun and loved the party. We got so many compliments on everything. We really enjoyed the venue! On 1/27/2017 I booked a wedding for 80 people at this venue. We had the ceremony and the reception there. James the owner was very accommodating from initial contact. We met with him and he showed us the different rooms and explained all the options. After choosing which rooms we wanted, he gave a a menu of food items to look over to let him know which ones we were interested in tasting. We came back about a month later and he had a nice table set up with linens and we sampled A ton of food. We than immediately made our selections. When it came time to the wedding rehearsal, they were very accommodating as well. We were not rushed at all so it was very relaxing during the rehearsal. Now let's get to the day of the wedding, the wedding started at 4 PM. That day the wind was horrible. There were Pineneedles all over the place. The staff at Imagine were all outside making the front look nice. The ceremony room was put together very nicely. The reception room looked great and everybody was comfortable. The food was amazing and had lots of flavor. I wish I had something negative to say but I don't. The staff was so professional and we never had a problem locating someone if we had a question. This place is terrible and their customer service stinks. We had a wedding here and it was filthy and it took me weeks to finally reach these people. Their phones never work and the lady America, speak broken English which makes it hard to understand. I don't thinks she knows how to answers she hangs up on you All the time. They do Business with a answering machine and owners are never there to field questions just take you money! My advice, is if you do want bad communications, bad Customer service or bad service at you event don't book there.They don't understand the Golden rule of business or they don't care about there business! Horrible!! My brother had his wedding here in the Garden Room less than a week ago. My brother had originally booked one of the other rooms but was called a month before the wedding and told that the room had been double booked. He was given the option to change the wedding date or move to a larger room for more money... Invitations had already been sent with the date so he moved to the other room. Prices are different depending on which employee you speak with. The woman America is the worst! She always quotes the highest prices and speaks badly about other employees to customers. She told us that another employee was a thief. On the night of the rehersal America went to the Brides mother and said some very negative comments about the Brides daughters!! On the day of the wedding the cake was delivered late and was not even the correct design. One of the tables did not have the centerpiece set up (which Imagine That provided) until I spoke up to one of the employees. read more

We attended a baby shower on Jan 31, 2015. Initially it appeared a nice venue with a lot of parking and open seating arrangements but as the event progressed it was obvious that the owners could not care less whether you enjoyed the event or otherwise. Let's start with the lighting. There were 2 chandeliers that did not work at all making that part of the room dark. The rest of the lighting should have been much brighter. The food area had no lighting what so ever and you either had to "grope in the dark" or "make a lucky dip experience". Repeated request to the management did not solve the problem. When it came time for the bar to open the bartender was extremely rude and not at all interested in serving anyone. The host was doing everything possible to make us feel comfortable and the owners and the staff were trying to do the opposite. The bartender at first refused to serve carbonated drinks like coke without a payment. The host had to forcefully remind management that the contract included fountain drinks which were absent. The carbonated drinks that were served from bottles were flat, had no fizz and tasted odd! The bartender had to be told repeatedly to replace the flat drinks with fresh bottles. This episode was not only embarrassing to the host who was besides herself wondering why they could not stick to the contract but it also started to affect the mood of the event. The disaster show continued when food was served. The service itself was poor. One of the guest had brought in salsa to augment, which management in there own wisdom placed it on one side away from the food and with out any bowls and a ladle to pour the salsa. Repeated request to rectify matters elicited a very late response. The quality of the food itself was bad and had it not been for the hosts' mother-in-law who had brought in a very delicious shredded roast beef you would have had many hungry souls that evening. Come on now, how can any place in California go wrong on tacos, rice and beans!! I'm quite certain that had the management been told to include scrambled eggs in the menu even then they would have got it wrong!!! If it was not for the host and her family who went to extreme lengths to try to make up the deficiencies of the management and the staff, the whole evening would have been a disaster. The entire credit for making the evening enjoyable, despite the serious shortcomings and poor service, must go to the host. A mention must be made of the "restrooms." Both men and women restrooms were dirty and the horrible smell that emanated made sure that this was one place where you could not "rest" for a second! If you're planning to have an event where you want to make sure that the guests are poorly served, the food is bad, your guests have to pay for the beverages and where your guests have to hold on to the increasing bladder pressures, then this is the place to go. I for one would never recommend this place to even the worst of my enemies. If you do use this place you do so at your own risk! read more

Imagine That! was wonderful with the entire reservation and decision process for our event. We couldn't be more happy and excited that we found an affordable place with what seemed a great family owned business. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT once our event started our event coordinator approached us 6 different times with "questions" all of them asked while we were in hectic mode. -FIRST we were told that we were over what we RSVP'd and paid for so she asked us for permission to set up 2 additional tables at $350.00 each. of course we said yes, we weren't going to ask our guests to leave. thank goodness my father counted each person and called them out on it. WE WERE UNDER BY 8 PEOPLE WHAT WE HAD RSVP'D AND PAID FOR. -When our food was served everything was cold! The food we selected during the tasting was amazing, at our event it was cold, dry and hard. Even the sauce on top had a crust over it. -We selected the UNLIMITED beer and wine. Not even half way through the event my guests were approaching me telling me that they were out of beer and that the beer they had was warm. -They were charging my guests for SODA! $3.00 each cup. When I questioned our coordinator about it she said well sorry thats how it is. I asked her to get my contract, she did then she said oh sorry it was a mistake but REFUSED to refund the money my guests spent on the soda that they were charged! -They said at the time of booking they would include punch at no cost but my guests told me they were being charging $2.50 for a cup. -When we first viewed the Garden Room it was warm inside, so we asked the owner if it would be that hot during the even and he said no that they had 7 ac units and they would make sure the room was nice and chill for everyone. Needless to say, we were HOT. I asked our coordinator numerous times to turn the AC on and all she eventually did was turn the fans on. -We paid for our event to be till 12am. They told us to leave at 11pm. Their reason was that with the time changing back (daylight savings) it changed it to 11pm. The coordinator told me if I wanted an additional hour I would have to pay and she needed to know immediately. Needless to say when I told them no, they turned the lights on and started cleaning up. WHILE MY GUESTS WERE DANCING!! IT WAS ONLY 1030!!! -While our speeches were being given, their crew had the vacuums going. so our guests in the back couldn't hear anything! -We had to ask them 3 times during our rehearsal to clean the mirrors and plants because they were dusty and the mirrors had spill marks on them. Of course the day of our event the owner was unreachable by us, even though before the event he would answer the phone, text messages, etc. There is so much more that went "wrong" but Ive said enough. Beautiful decorations, once they were cleaned. MY ADVICE IF YOURE GOING TO BOOK WITH THEM...make sure you have EVERY SINGLE DETAIL IN WRITING. DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD FOR ANYTHING. Example: Water will be served in clean glasses with ice included. Otherwise they'd probably try to charge you for the ice while your event is going on. They took advantage of us. They cut major corners. They definitely ripped us off. I am very embarrassed when I see my family and friends. I cant go back and re-do our special day. So, im going to try and focus on the good (which wasn't with the venue). read more

We booked Imagine That for our cater at an outside wedding in Riverside. They offered several food tastings before we had to make a choice about our menu. The staff and owner are very friendly. Our guests were very happy with the quality of the food and they were very generous on the amounts of food that were given. My husband was very thankful for the special meal that was prepared (salmon) just for him. In addition, the staff served and cleaned up everything at the reception. I did not have to worry about losing my deposit at the place because they had it all taken care of by the end of the night. This is not a place I would recommend. We held our daughter's wedding reception here last night. We were looking for a place that had a nice atmosphere at an affordable price. Which we found. We thought they were able to keep their price down based on location not quality. Unfortunately, that was not the case.The owners are very friendly, but the business is not very well organized. The food at the reception was not the same quality as the food at the food tasting. The beef and chicken were both very dry. The chicken marsala had a very strong wine flavor. The tri tip was missing it s sauce and mushrooms. The salad, vegetable, and potatoes were fine. The room was beautifully decorated, but there were a few things in need of repair that we hadn't noticed when we previewed the venue. Mainly, the bathrooms, they are in need of much repair and there is no décor. Of course, for the amount of money we spent it would have been nice if the food tasted good. Praise God, regardless of the disappointing meal and the few hitches, the atmosphere was nice and the reception was enjoyed by all who attended. I just had a high school graduation for my son on June 1 2013 @ the (MANOR /BROADWAY room) my family and me had the best experience with IMAGINE THAT! The staff was very efficient and friendly, the first encounter that we had was with George he was very nice and professional, he went over prices and options with my husband and me, George made us feel like family not just like customers we were very happy when we left, another day I called and spoke to America, she is very professional,courteous, and understanding, I called to make changes on my reservation, she was very nice and guided me through the whole process, I cannot say but only wonderful things of my experience with the staff of IMAGINE THAT!, we had chicken Lorraine, pilaf rice, zucchini vegetables, salad with raspberry dressing, all my guests loved the food and the ambiance. these people give you the run around and give diffrent prices and there scared to say who is the owner is. everyone gives a diffrent story first some guy says my daughters and gives a price then the lady says another price and she says i know i can get it for this price let me talk to owners like there not her daughters.then i call back and they say some guy is the owner.i go in on a friday and they give me a diffrent price im like wt?....so i went to chino d e s way cheaper and smells better... read more
