He suggested that we hire a restoration company to dry out the areas that had gotten wet. We interviewed three different companies and liked two of them. We decided on Platinum Dry after talking to David and Francisco. They made us feel confident that they would take care of our issue. After hiring them, they started the next day with fans and a dehumidifier to start the process of drying out the drywall. Our insurance company came out for the inspection, but they have been extremely slow. Francisco from Platinum Dry was our point person and he was there early to meet with the insurance inspector and show him their findings. Francisco called and came by often to check the moisture readings and to see how things were going. He has been very personable and very nice and considerate. He came to the house multiple times to make sure everything was drying OK. After a few days we gave them permission to take down the drywall and start drying the studs. Both David and Francisco came by the house to check to see how things were going. After a few days, Francisco came to measure the moisture of the studs. They are now dry, so he removed the fans and dehumidifier. Now we just have to wait for the insurance company to let us know what they will and will not pay for. After that, Platinum Dry will continue putting our room back together. One of the reasons that we hired them was because they were a one stop shop. They take care of everything from start to finish.
