I had an awesome experience at Image Creators. I *believe* the esthetician I worked with was Melissa (it's been a few weeks lol) and she did phenomenal. I had a lash lift and tint as well as my brows done - which is saying a lot because I haven't trusted my brows to ANYONE in my 40 year old life. I hacked them up when I was a 90s kid and have been afraid to have someone thin them out too much ever since! Melissa (?) did a great job. The brow lines looked amazing and so natural, it truly was my brows but better. I intend to go see her again for brows when it's time for another lash service. The lashes turned out great, by the way. I highly recommend getting a lash lift and tint if you're looking to make your eyes pop without the irritation of lash extensions. I had been doing extensions for wedding season and loved the look but needed a break. Melissa revived my lashes and now I don't feel like I even need mascara anymore! I'm a male and I have been with the same stylist for five years (prior to, and then with Image Creators) As far back as I can remember I have made hair cutting appointments with no issues. Then, while with Image Creators, and unbeknownst to me, a new manager came on board. It was then that I would make an appointment, but a week later the appointment was rescheduled. I was understanding the first few times this occurred until the frequency of the changes increased, including being asked to reschedule more than once before my next appointment. Finally, when I received a call to reschedule, I asked what was going on, why were my appointments being moved around like a chess piece on a chess table. It was during that call, when I questioned what was going on, that I heard a voice next to the young woman I was speaking to, i.e., I heard, "here, give me the phone!". Then Amy, the new manager, got on the line and "bluntly" said, your appointment is canceled. No offer to reschedule, it was, you're canceled. Apparently, this happens behind the scenes and unknown to the stylists. So after not showing up for appointments to see my stylist, who had cut my hair for "five years", my stylist started to text me asking me to come back. Then, after weeks, Amy (manager) called and left a message saying she had come up with a hair cutting schedule. I never returned the call to Amy but eventually rescheduled with the front desk. When I came back, the crazy rescheduling stopped. All seemed good until February 2026. I had a scheduled appointment for 10 AM on Tuesday, February 17th. It was the prior weekend that Maryland was hit with the snow/ice storm. Establishments began to open on Monday the 16th and I received a reminder text from Image Creators on Monday the 16th of my Tuesday 10 AM appointment. Tuesday came with no text or call that my appointment was canceled so I drove to the appointment. I was almost at the location on Ritchie Hwy when I heard a sound on my phone indicating a text. The text was a request to reschedule. Since my appointment was at "10 AM", it would have been considerate to contact me at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, etc. But again, unprofessional and disrespectful. I called Image Creators and spoke to Bob. Since my grandson had asked me to be his "Confirmation Sponsor" at St. Mary's Church and attend the rehearsal during that week followed by the actual event; I told Bob I needed to get my haircut and perhaps there was another option, such as someone else could cut my hair. But Bob, rather than say something like, well, what day and time is the rehearsal/event OR perhaps say, let's see what we can figure out. Nope, what Bob said was: "like I said, we're closed". "Like I said" is a condescending and rude remark. I then said, if I can't get my hair cut for my grandson, I will need to find someone outside of Image Creators. Bob's response was...... "nothing". He didn't respond. I have "never" been treated like this before and I did nothing to deserve this level of rudeness. After my call with Bob, I immediately sent a text to a woman who had cut my hair five years ago, but ended when she and her husband built a home across the bay bridge. "Within 5 minutes she reached out to me" with two stylist's contacts near my home, and assured me, either stylist would fit me in and cut my hair. She was right, the first call I made worked out perfectly. I am not reviewing based on my stylist but on the front desk/ receptionist. Why? Why is this always so impersonal and difficult? I always feel like I am a bother and it is awkward for me. I've been here many times and have always been satisfied with my services, but the desk. How can such a beautiful salon employ such unhappy front desk receptionists? Example of conversation: Walked in "I'd like to make an appointment for such and such service" "Ok when?" Me: "Does (stylist) have an opening on x day?" "Only until 1pm" Me: "Ok, I'd like to schedule, I can come in the morning" "Ok what time?" Me: "Whatever she has open, let's try x?" "Yes she can do that" Me: "Ok, thanks" :( My suggestion: Offer a few times up until 1pm. Example: "She has 10, 11, or 12. Do any of these times work for you?" I am the customer. They're really great about walk-ins, but I recommend calling before walking in because they do get busy. I usually get a haircut, wash, and blow dry. Reasonably priced. Called to schedule highlights and asked for experienced stylist was told the stylist I was scheduled with had a lot of experience but was new to the salon. She was a new stylist with 18 months experience but didn't actually start styling until many months after graduating. She took too long to put the highlights in and my hair overprocessed. There is no way she couldn't tell while she was washing my hair because of how it felt and sounded when she was washing it. She also decided to go ash after I told her no ash color because it would wash out. I was there for 4 hours and she told me she was out of time to cut my hair but could trim it and then she was out of time to even trim it our blow dry it. So she dried just a few strands so I could see the color. After telling her I couldn't tell how it looked when it was wet. The attempted to brush through my hair and the brush got stuck multiple times so she stopped and said they were closed and I could come back another time for a cut and blow dry. I have never walked out of a salon with wet hair and this was a tangled unbrushed mess I threw up in a messy bun. When I got home I went to brush and blow dry it and realized my hair was falling out in the brush and looked like rubber. My hair was breaking off all over. I have breakage throughout my entire scalp. This was a Friday. I left a review and they called me Saturday and scheduled me with a new stylist for Tuesday. The more experienced stylist was great but my hair is totally ruined. I had only needed 1.5 inches trimmed when I first went and had to get almost 3 inches trimmed. I got a treatment and she toned it so you can't even see the highlights that are left from not breaking off. It took her forever to brush through my hair. The stylist recommended products for me to help build my hair back up. My second appointment was free but when I asked for a discount on the products it was thrown in my face that my service was free like I should be appreciative. They did give me 20% off the product but it isn't a products I would typically purchase and I still spent another $80. I also purchased 2 different k18 products at the recommendation of another stylist for $140. I found out at the end of the second visit that the owner was in the salon and didn't have the nerve to approach me and ask what had happened, ask if there was anything she could do, or even apologize, or what she would do to prevent this from happening to someone else. I can now only wash my hair 1-2 times per week. It takes me an hour to brush through it because of all the damage and I can't heat style it. My curl pattern is ruined. I have breakaways everywhere when I try to pull it back. It's a frizzy mess. One free service will not even begin to compensate me for how terrible my hair looks, feels, the time it takes for me to do anything with it, and the mental toll it has taken on me. Plus the additional products I've had to purchase and the additional services I'll have to continue to pay for to get my hair somewhat manageable. Do NOT recommend. read more

I've been coming to image creators on/off for about 8 years, mostly for nails and massage or facials. However, a couple weeks ago I went for a haircut and it was easily the worst haircut I have ever received. I have extremely thick hair, layers do not work well with me especially during the summer. Vivian disregarded this after I asked her not to give layers, and gave me many layers. She was cutting so fast, I was getting nervous because how can you cut that fast and pay attention to everything you're doing. Anyways, it was terrible. I had to get another cut from my normal lady to get it fixed. There was a giant chunk missing from my hair. This was just so disappointing but mainly frustrating. Not only was it a terrible cut though, Vivian was pretty rude about how dead my ends were, etc. I'll be back for the nail service and a facial but never, ever a haircut. After spending almost a year trying to find a new stylist, I hit the jackpot! About 2 months ago I had my first haircut from Jennifer and I loved it. It grew out so seamlessly that I could've waited another month but I was too excited! Today was my second appointment and the cut was just as, if not better, than the first. I was so excited. I called and they could get my daughter an appointment in 15 minutes. So my 14 year old daughter went in for a haircut. When she came out I asked her why did she not get seen and she said she did. They barely trimmed the bottom of her hair and charged us $60.00!! We went back in and had someone look at her hair and asked their opinion if they thought she should of had more cut off. She still visibly had dead-ends. They said if she wanted to keep it long then that's what she received. My daughter said she wanted it long but healthy hair cut. We left. I then called and asked if a trim and a haircut cost the same and they do. She was in and out within 30 minutes. Just disappointed with their customer service. At least ask if there is anything they could do to make us feel satisfied. Nothing. So goodbye, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I can't rave enough about this place! 5 stars, but I will start with a recommendation - If you go for a Deva cut, either request a microfiber towel when you make the appt or bring your own. They don't use them, even if if your paying the serious upcharge for this type of cut. (As much as $70+ more than a reg cut!) That said, this is the going market rate for that kind of cut in this area, and the stylists here do a great job! They are very accommodating! They work really hard to get you in quickly, and are so pleasant about it! The staff up front is very personable and professional. The person doing the shampooing was amazing! Seriously the best scalp massage I've ever had! My stylist, Kelsey did a phenomenal job on my Deva cut and style! She also did the halo highlight/lowlights and it turned out so pretty! I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new salon and I think image creators will likely be my salon of choice for now. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was able to get me in the following day with Joanna. The receptionist did ask if I was familiar with the salon leveling system and indicated that Joanna was a Level 1 stylist, but was very good. The experience of my stylist did not matter to me; however, i found this to be very thoughtful because I'm sure there are people out there who are very picky about having stylists with experience, schooling, ect. I got in and only waited about 5 minutes. Joanna was great, she was very personable, funny and kept a great conversation going. There was a scheduling conflict for her appointment after me but she reassured me that she did not like rushing clients and there was no reason to feel rushed. She did a full cut, style and blow dry and it looked great! I also got my eyebrows done. The price for an eyebrow wax was $15, which is a little pricey compared to your Asian-owned nail salons but the eyebrow waxing at image creators is performed by an actual aesthetician. The one thing that I noticed was my hair cut was a bit more expensive than I was expecting based on a level one stylists pricing; however, they may have up-charged me because I had long hair. The salon is huge, even though it looks like it's only one main room when you walk in. Behind the receptionist desk is the spa that has private rooms and a manicure/pedicure area as well. She is always up to date on different styles, colors, etc. She is very, very educated about hair and I always leave feeling great! The atmosphere is fun and the staff is always friendly. The main reason I go here is just for brow waxes. They do a great job. Most of the people I used to go to have now left, but I've been going to LP lately and she does a great job. She also explains to me what she did to fix them up/reshape when she had to. I have gotten my nails done here once or twice, but it was nothing spectacular. Years ago I had my hair done for prom here, and was charged $80 for just a low side ponytail with my hair curled, which seems pretty ridiculous. I would go here more for haircuts but I'm not a fan of the whole "find out what it cost when you get to the register" thing. Really, I would just stick to the spa services here. read more

The first thing I noticed was that the salon has a lot to offer (hair, nails, spa services, and products for sale). The second thing I noticed that there's a lot going on within the space and it's impossible for it to be a relaxing atmosphere...at least in the salon area. I went for a mani/pedi and was serviced by Georgia. While she was very nice, the service was sub-par. I enjoyed all of the creams and scrubs they use but Georgia's polishing skills need some work. It felt like a 5 year old was painting my nails. She just slapped the polish on. There was no technique or skill. And! I noticed that there are places on my nails where there was absolutely no polish! I am super irritated. I hope this review helps someone else. I've been going to this place for almost 5 years now. My stylist does a wonderful job. The other stylist I've had to go to for various reasons have done great jobs also. But the biggest problem that exist at this location is the lack of consideration by the management staff. There hasn't been one time that I have arrived there for my scheduled appointment and I've had to wait at a minimum of 15 minutes with nobody communicating with customers. The front desk staff take no consideration in checking on the status of the stylist nor do they communicate if issues exist. They are more concerned with talking to each other rather than communicating with customers waiting to be seen. No sense of customer service. If my stylist was to go somewhere else, I would have no problem leaving this establishment. read more

Located in Park Plaza in Severna Park (next to Freedom Bakery), you wouldn't think on first glance, that this was a full service spa. When you walk in, you'll first notice the hair stations to the right, and a waiting area to the left. But there is definitely more than meets the eye here. The spa rooms are a short walk away from the waiting area, tucked away behind a set of doors (that you may not notice when you first arrive). If you plan to come in for a massage/facial, they will take you through a "hidden" door that leads to locker rooms and the "Hall of Zen" (as I like to call it), which takes you to the private rooms where you'll get paired with a one-on-one masseuse/spa tech. **One thing to keep in mind: Before you go to the private rooms, they'll escort you to the locker rooms/bathroom area to change into robes and drop off your things. Each locker is labeled with a "S", "M", "L" to indicate what size robe is inside. CHOOSE WISELY. The robes are nice and run a little big, so you may want to try them on before settling.** On the day that I came in, I was coming for an hour-long massage. My spa tech's name was Menijeh, and she was terrific. She was very personable, and kept me calm and relaxed throughout the duration of my massage. All of the staff members that I dealt with that day were happy and helpful, which made for a great experience overall. The facility is clean and inviting, which goes hand-in-hand with the wonderful staff. The prices seem pretty comparable with other local spa's in the area. This is a great place to come if you're looking for the full spa experience. I would recommend calling ahead if you're looking to book services with a particular person here. Devin Moore cuts my hair, and ladies, let me tell u, he is something else. I get so many compliments on my hair when he gives me a cut that I won't go anywhere else. I retired from the military and my wife wanted me to start getting stylish haircuts. I went 7-8x, and on top of being very pricey the results were hit and miss, mostly miss. I gave up and now got to hair cuttery which does just as good or better for 1/2 to 2/3 the price and also includes a hair wash. My wife had also had the same experience with an"good stylist" that for whatever reason starts doing a terrible job. She too now goes to a salon in DC. read more
