I will never let anyone else touch any of my vehicles again after my experience with Image. Shawn knows his stuff. I'll admit, it's not the most convenient "car wash" - i always make an appointment and Shawn takes his time. But, I have never seen such attention to detail than I have at Image. I NEVER have any concerns after I get my vehicle back, no spots left on the wheels, no drips from the mirrors, no leftover wax, etc. I typically get the higher-end treatments from Shawn and it is miles beyond anything you'll get at some half-automated car wash. I've had paint correction and ceramic done on my Range Rover Supercharged and, even with all the rain this year, 5 months later water STILL beads off. I've taken my LR3 to him for years and it still looks brand new-the treatments he has for the plastics make it look like a new truck and it's over ten years old. I just had him do ceramic on it as well (see pics). I've also taken my 1986 BMW E30 to him. It's got the typical E30 "patina" and I had Shawn go to town on it and even with multiple spot-paint jobs over the decades Shawn made it look amazing for its age. I'm big on competent, knowledgeable individuals when it comes to my cars, and I stick with people who know what they are doing and are consistently high-performing. That being said, Shawn has outlived some of my mechanics and go-to speciality shops. He consistently delivers. You do have to work around his schedule and sometimes you feel like your trying to get reservations to some new hot restaurant, but it's worth it. read more

Simply put: my car came out better than expected. After 5 years of road trips, Vegas trips, and my daily commute... my poor little accord's been through a lot. I'm one of those people that washed their car every other monthish ona good year... and dang... I did not know that there was a diamond under all that dirt. Thanks for bringing my car back from the undead! That was a zombie joke. Cause zombies aren't dead or alive... like. It was an allusion to my car. Well. Yea. 10/10! Would highly recommend! read more

I'm literally so amazed at how great my car looks! Being parked outside often and my lack of knowledge on proper maintenance had my car looking like s**t. Shawn and his team were super professional, accommodating and took my car in ASAP. The difference of what it looked like before and what it looks like now are a difference of night and day. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks so much guys! read more

I wanted to wait sometime to leave a review since it has been ceramic coated cuz I have never coated my car. It's almost been 2 months and my car still looks great so here I am! It is a pleasure to having a business with knowledgeable/friendly owner with great quality of service. I thought doing this maybe a bit pricy upfront but now I can say it totally worth it! Once it's coated, you cannot really tell the difference if it has been waxed or coated. But overtime, my car still looks shiny and glossy, soapy water is all I had to apply after a month just to get rid of dusts. Then it looks like it has been waxed/coated again! I used to wax my car every month but having coated is so much efficient financially and it also saves my time! Shawn was on schedule, no hidden fees, highly recommended. Bottom line- go get your ride ceramic coated!!! read more

Just got my car washed from these guys today. I had very high hopes for this place because of the reviews. I checked their website out and initially decided to just get a full hand wash ($35+) which includes vacuuming the inside. That's all I needed, but as expected he tried to up sell me by convincing me I needed a clay which would be ($95+). I chose not to get it because I really didn't need it. Came back 1.5 hours later to pick it up and paid - MY MISTAKE. Always check the car to make sure it is done to your satisfaction. Maybe its because I didn't choose to get the clay, but I felt that they did quite a sloppy job at least for the exterior. There were lots of small dirt marks and I even brought one of the guys over to ask him what this yellow mark was. He took a towel and just rubbed it off. You would think that he would continue to inspect the car again after I pointed a huge mark but nope, just went on with cleaning the other car he was working on. It seems like they only pay attention to the details if you pay $100+ otherwise they just want to get your car done and out of the way as possible. Quite disappointed...it turned out to be $45 + $9 tip (15%) but I wish I didn't tip at all. read more

Amazing! I brought my Toyota Corolla in for a full detail and I'm blown away by the quality!! My car had an unfortunate run in with a kitchen sponge a few years back and I've always been bothered by the small patches of scuffs that were left behind. After the detail the patches are nowhere to be seen and everything is so smooth and glossy. I couldn't be happier and I'll definitely be returning in the future! read more

I just had 3 cars corrected, detailed, and ceramic coated and I'm super happy with the results. Shawn is the owner of Image, and he came over to my house to look at several cars I was interested in having ceramic coated/detailed. I didn't know much about the process, but you can tell that Shawn is really passionate about what he does, and exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced. He showed me some show cars he had done, really highlighting his attention to detail. He's a car guy, and if you are, you can spend hours trading stories. His shop at the Brea mall parking lot is relatively new, but it's very clean and organized. You can tell Shawn is very particular and has some level of OCD (which to me is a great thing), and has the perfect personality for this type of work. He really cares about delivering a great product for his customers, and goes the extra mile in working on the cars. He sees almost every little imperfection, and it bothers him (another good thing about his personality). The primary reason I had 3 cars ceramic coated was that 2 of them would be parked outside, so I wanted to protect the paint and also make it easier to clean/maintain the cars. I can't speak to the ease of cleaning ceramic coated cars yet as they were just done. When I got each car back, it was literally better than new. I had the wheels off cleaning, brake caliper coating, etc. on all the cars. It's hard to describe, but I'm actually more excited about driving these cars again. They look so good. I'll admit that ceramic coating is not inexpensive. However, Shawn seemed to have the best prices (I checked with 2 other places that have done work on my cars in the past) and had the most experience with ceramic coating. There are a number of different products, and depending on what you want to do, the type of car, the type of paint, type of trim material, etc. he'll suggest/use the product that's most suitable, which makes sense as you can get lost online with all the ceramic coating product comparison reviews. I have more cars that I'll take to Shawn to coat. Definitely recommend him. read more

I'm very pleased with the time, patience, and care that Shawn and his team put in on my car. Inside and out my vehicle feels and looks pristine! They performed a paint correction and ceramic coating which took care of my calipers, suspension components, wheel, wheel lugs, interior, decals, cladding, and paint with the highest level of detail I've ever seen. I highly recommend Shawn and his business if you need someone you can trust and care for your vehicle like it there own. read more

We brought our car back for a mini detail because we haven't had it taken care for awhile. Shawn did a great job taking care of the exterior and interior. He went above and beyond the scope of work and took care of the little details. We also opt in for the entry level ceramic coating option based on his assessment and recommendation for long term preventative care. I am so glad we did and the car came out better then brand new looking. He did the rims and body surface, and it came out perfectly soft and smooth to the touch. Shawn is an awesome guy to work with and very detailed. Thanks for taking care of our baby. read more

I recently bought a Honda Accord 2009 and decided to give it a full detail and I was glad that I brought my car to them. The high Yelp reviews speaks volume of the work they do and they sure left me impressed by the work they did and definately have increased the value of my car by a grand at least and have earned my buisness for life. I was impressed by the work they did on my head lights, to be honest I didnt even think they could be cleaned, not only they cleaned it they look brand new. I highly recommend them and once you try them out you will be coming back. Thank you Shawn, see you soon. read more

Quoted $35+ on the website for a hand wash. Brought my sedan in because it had some mud on it after a road trip to the desert. I was expecting to pay a bit more because it was more dirty than usual maybe $50 or $55. But was told it would cost $150 to remove some bugs and mud from the car. Something that takes 10 minutes for me to do at home with a cloth and a pray bottle. Absolutely ridiculous markup and the guy who quoted me was condescending in the way it was handled. I've had my car detailed here before and paid $200+ for the full detail. But I guess when I just need a basic wash they can't support their customers reasonably. read more

Took my car here for a ceramic coating. The first time I went Sean spent about 45 min with me taking his time to explain my different options. He showed me different cars they worked on and some photos and videos of other customer's cars on his phone. The fact that he took his time to educate me made me feel comfortable here. Booked an appointment for the following week. I'm satisfied with the job they did and he even made me a cool video afterwards highlighting what they did. Thanks again for the great work. I purchased a new 2019 Tesla Model 3 two weeks ago and it came from the factory with way too many paint issues. From what I gather it's common on Model 3s not so much on Model S & X. Anyway, I started by asking for quotes on Yelp... some were crazy expensive and some where too low to be true. I called a few higher priced quotes and a few lower, I wasn't impressed with what anyone was telling me. Then a co-worker told me about Image Auto Detailing at the Brea Mall... We called and Shawn answered... He went over all the options and he explained several products in detail. It wasn't so much the details that sold me on giving him a try, he had a passion for what he was talking about and it was obvious I had found someone who was doing what they loved and it wasn't just a paycheck. Went down and talked with him on Saturday even more impressed with his setup. He walked around my car and pointed out issues I knew and could see and several that I didn't notice. I couldn't drop off my car until Sunday after hours and that kind of worried me. I've read about a rash of break-ins on Tesla Model 3s. I text him that the car was in the stall and instantly he text me a picture of me in the car from one of the dozen camera's he had. That really set me at ease... During the entire process he sent me pictures and kept me informed. I think he was just as excited as I was on how nice it was turning out. Again, the passion for his work came out in his excitement. He ended up doing something he called a Level 2 paint correction and protected it with a ceramic coating. I came out of the experience knowing I received quality work and product at a good price. I highly recommend this place... I will try to remember to update this in a year after living with the paint protection. read more

I have been bringing my SUV here for years, and I can tell you without a doubt, they have the best $100 wash and wax detail in North Orange County. Not only does my car look better every visit than it did the day I bought it... the owner also really knows paint and how to protect it. This shop keeps getting better with time as well, from equipment to the new enclosed bay for coatings. Takes a few hours, but it is worth the wait. Or you can let the local washes beat your car to death with spinning brush machines in 10 minutes... read more

This is my second visit for a wash/detailing and I never leave disappointed. I wish I took a before and after photo because my car was filthy! Thanks to Shawn, my car looks brand spanking new. He also took the time to clean the interior of my car (using q-tips/toothpicks to clean the cracks of my center console, which had a thick layer of dried-up oats that I had spilled in my car awhile back). Shawn is also very knowledgeable and provides great customer service. I always have the best experience and will continue to come back. Thanks again Shawn for making my car so shiny and new! read more

Do not use this place unless you like dishonest advertising. Dropped car off for wash and wax $85. Call confirmed price and make and model. Drop off car again confirm price. 20 minutes later owner calls named shawn stating because of the make and model they have to charge 125. He said the price list was for a smart car. He could not explain why his tech verified the price. Then asked if they could wash, and they did not have time because they had to pull a mercedes off the line which was paying more. Will be filing a complaint with the mall and better business bureau. I was already overpaying for the wax for convience. Then shawn did not have the decency to answer the door when i came to pick up my car. Fyi shawn that little asterick at the bottom of your add does not give you a license to mislead people but i guess that is what the bbb is for. Really smart car, probably less than 5% of the population. Lol terrible busisness practice read more

Worst customer service, these guys must be part of united airlines. The are swimming in Tesla referrals or something they do it care about taking care of new clients that are in fact refer by Tesla at the mall. Shawn is the freaking man! I bought a brand new black GMC Sierra Denali last year. It came off the lot with swirls. Everyone claimed to be able to fix it, but it either looked a little better or, like the last guy that touched it, came out way worse. Shawn's the only guy that actually fixed it! I happened to be at the Brea Mall at a time that my car desperately needed to be washed. I park on the street, which means it's only a matter of a few days until sprinklers, debris, and tree sap leave their mark on my car. I drove in looking for a simple car wash but was quickly upsold by a nice guy who quoted me a wash & wax package for $75.00. It was a clay wax, and while I'd normally not spend that much on my car, I decided to go with it. It turned out pretty great! The car was butter-soft, and weeks later it's still just as soft after a wash. The thing that has curbed my enthusiasm is that when I asked about the various service options, I was given the $75.00 wash & wax price, a more intense detail for something over $100, or a simple car wash for $30 ("We're really more of a detail shop than a car wash"). The website, however, lists a really impressive variety of services that are all priced less than what I was quoted. There's a wash & wax that starts at $55, an exterior car wash that starts at $20. I absolutely cannot stand getting services from a place that I later learn I could have spent less at for one reason or another. And of course I'm not naive to the pitfalls of a single female needing to get auto service. Between that, the fact that it was essentially an impulse buy, and without a formal list & description of pricing there in the parking structure, I likely set myself up to pay more than I should have. I also understand that "starting at" means that you are likely going to be upsold, but in this instance I was a little annoyed that I didn't ask, and wasn't told, exactly what I was paying for. Make no mistake, you'll get a great wax or detail job here. Just make sure you've done your research before going in. read more

I got my car washed here because it was convenient and I had a shopping date at the mall anyway. It was a Saturday, so they said it would take 2 hours to get it done because there were others ahead of me. No problem. They did a pretty good job. The reason why I give 3 stars is because 1) it was crazy expensive for a wash and a wax on an SUV ($100 including 20% tip) and 2) there were a lot of little details that were missed and for the price, I would have expected a much higher level of cleanliness. Some of my center compartments next to my cup holders weren't cleaned, there was a finger print on my back window, and the things they took out of my car (first aid kit, mapbook, etc.) were just tossed back in the car on my back seat. I've gotten hand car washes for a third of the price with better quality before. Don't think I'll go back unless I'm incredibly lazy, really desperate, and already at the mall. read more

This car wash is located at the covered parking garage, ground floor and adjacent to Nordstrom. I came in at around 10 in the morning and the garage was deserted. I first thought it was closed because you would normally expect attendants waiting for customers in this kind of business. I parked my car and noticed that their "open" sign is turned on so I went straight to their office. There, I saw a guy by himself and was asked what I wanted. I told him I only needed a wash since my car was clayed a few weeks ago. He said it'll take 45 mins because he's literally by himself. I thought it won't be a problem since the mall is there just to kill time. He never tried to upsell any services which was cool. I got a call from the same guy less than an hour later to tell me that my car was ready. I headed back to the garage and I was impressed with what I saw. My car was super clean. I can compare it to a pair of suit that was just dry cleaned. I did not see water spots anywhere. I don't know how they did it but they did a great job. I took off 1 star because I did not get an initial quote for the wash. Yes, the price is more than what you pay for at a regular car wash but what you get here is unparalleled quality of service. Plus you get to spoil both yourself (by shopping at the mall) and your car. read more

The price kinda higher than all other places but I decided to get car wash here at Brea mall knowing it was gonna take couple of hrs to come back out. One of the guy there kinda did short presentation(?) for 15 mins to explain how do the their job and professionalism. It's $20 for exterior and $25 for complete car wash. I chose $25 to give it a try. It was nice how they give you a call when it's done though. So I went back to pick up my car. Outside of my car looked pretty clean so I didn't really check interior and left. That was my mistake. I came home and open the door to get out and found the mud still in inside. It wasn't worth paying $25 for car wash. I would not get car wash there again nor recommend to anyone. read more

It is well worth the drive. There are probably 10 other options that are closer to me, but I'll drive the extra 5-10 minutes to get here. It is well worth the wait. I came in today and Shawn told me it would be almost a 3 hour wait. After talking a bit, he took my info and told me he would call if it slowed down. He called an hour later and told me a spot opened up. I came back, dropped off my Grand Cherokee, and he took care of a wash and wax in just under an hour and a half. They clearly get busy on the weekends with the mall traffic but totally understandable. It is well worth the price. $95 for a hand wash and wax of an SUV is on par. I've seen cheaper, I've seen more expensive, but under $100 for a quality shine is definitely worth it to me. Overall, this is the type of business I will always support. Good guy running the show, good service, good price. Missed wiping a few spots on the rear of my car which was difficult to see in the garage, but not the end of the world. I'll be back in a month. read more

An hour later I came back and couldn't believe how much cleaner it looked and felt. They did an amazing job and offered incredible customer service.
