Extreme Autowerks did an amazing job on my Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. I could not be more pleased. Bing and his team including Greg, John, and Gary, are phenomenal. They are really passionate about the work they do and are extremely committed and detail oriented. They were genuinely excited to talk to me about all the options, what they would look like and how they would perform, and help me understand what the process would be. It felt less like sales tactics and more like genuine enthusiasm about cars and what could be done to protect them and make them look their best. I've had PPF done at other shops and I've never seen detail work like this before. The way they install PPF is 100% custom cut and much more challenging and time consuming to do than templates, but looks significantly better and the edges are either invisible or extremely well hidden. I'm also really excited about the Modesta ceramic coatings on the paint, plastic trim, and wheels. It preserves the gloss and luster of everything and is so much easier to clean. I heard a lot about the paint being soft and very prone to scuffs and scratches so I knew I would have to either bite the bullet or do something to protect my car. I reached out to Bing and he gave me a full run down of Extreme Autowerks' products and made me feel confident in my decision to drop over $2000 on a full front end PPF (Prestige ClearGuard) and tint (LLumar IRX). After picking up my car and spending a good 2 hours staring at it parked, I can say that it was worth every penny. When that random pebble hits my bumper, I won't have to flinch as hard again. It also significantly reduces noise since we live on a busy street. For our french windows, we used 40% tint to reduce the afternoon rays and heat blazing in. You can feel the difference! I recently decided to take the plunge and go electric. Switching from an ice vehicle to a Tesla is a big enough decision in itself and the Tesla forums are a huge help! What I learned is that the more you run the a/c and the longer it takes to cool the cabin, the more the battery degradation. Many people in the forums recommended tinting as a counter measure to vastly help. Being in Los Angeles considering it's the car capital...there are tons of choices for services, but how do you know who's really good? As I scoured various forums for tint recommendations and experiences...I noticed Extreme Autowerks being mentioned quite often. Many other Tesla owners..who are quite hardcore, went as far as measuring temps stock(no tint) to measuring it with Photosync applied by Extreme Autowerks. The factual numbers and the huge cooling effect and therefore drop in interior heat was astonishing! I started researching Photosync to see if it was more hype or was it as good as they say. First of all there are literally only a few dealers in the entire Ca and each dealer has exclusive territory. The film seems to be very different than the rest as its adaptive(as temp rises it blocks more heat) I was like this is definitely unique. I also noticed that many people mentioned that they applied the whole glass in one piece and that too custom pieces. I also like to see how the owner...responds to negative reviews. Armed with all this info...I decided to pay the shop a visit. At Extreme I was treated with professionalism and factual information. Never a hard sell or any kind of pressure. I learned the name of the owner from other Yelp Reviews and forums...by chance Bing Lee was at the store that day. His staff were very nice and for being an owner Bing was very patient and kind. No matter what question or how many I threw at him, he happily answered all of them...without any pressure or salesmanship. He truly believes in his product and is not just there for sales. I am not an easy person to convince and always look at any business or person in sales with the 3rd degree and never once did Bing or his staff flinch! After I felt I put Extreme through my Gauntlet..I felt confident enough to proceed and get my Model X tinted and wrapped. If you are looking for cheap tint just so your windows look Dark, this is not the place for you, but if you actually care about details, superior product and professional installers that care more for your car than you do...than this is definitely your place. The finished product is applied so neatly and done with such detail, to the untrained eye it's hard to tell the film is even on! The model X has a huge windshield and the fact that these guys do it in one piece...is just pure magic! Picked up the car and it was spotless. After waiting a few days for it to cure..that's when my own tests began. All I can say is, I have no idea why every car doesn't have Photosync. Wow what a difference! When your inside, it's like there is no sun and to test if your lower your window, you feel the immediate burning heat and say whoa there actually is sun and it's super hot out! The phoyosync is like a massive barrier between the heat and feeling comfort even without a/c. I am extremely happy with my install, product and definitely the 10 out of 5 star service that Extreme staff and the owner provided. I am a very finicky and through when it comes to products and services like this and boy did these guys pass with flying colors. Their warranty is also very strong. Friends of mine have talked about another shop, but in South OC that isn't open on weekends. I live in Brea, so I've been putting it off as I know it'll take my entire day from work to get down there and wait on a tint job. But after googling for some PPF for my HOV stickers, Extreme Autowerks popped up with rave reviews and I immediately read about all the great work they've done! I was lucky enough to get in on a Saturday and they were able to complete the tint job by the end of the day! No need to take a day off from work! Because my commute can be an hour long and I am responsible for taking the 7 year old to school everyday, I felt like I needed something to take care of the heat that builds up in the car as well as the sun's rays my kid says he can feel! John gave me a few options, and I ultimately invested in the Spectra Photosync! I must admit, I initially also wanted my back windows tinted darker than the front as that is what I had for the previous ten years with my old 3-series, but John recommended the 30% shade all around + 70% for the front windshield. It was been two days with the tint in place and I couldn't be happier! Thank you, John for the recommendation! Updating my review to reiterate just how great the service and quality of their work. After my first car I brought my new truck in the day after I got it for a full tint work. Because the truck came with factory privacy glass, they were patient and helpful as I debated for percentage film to go with. Once the work was done, I expected perfection and that is what I got. A week later I screwed up and put a nice big scratch in the center rear window that kept glaring at me from my rear view mirror. I brought it back to EA fully expecting to pay for that re-tint because of my screw up, but they replaced it on the spot, free of cost. If I can sway anyone who cares about their cars to come here for tint and wrap work, I do it every chance I get. This isn't your tint guy next to the car wash. In short: If you have marble countertops, you ~need~ Bing and his team to seal them. My husband and I just bought a home and had marble countertops installed in the kitchen and powder room, and the countertop crew (whom we love) told us we should get them sealed with Bing. We didn't know precisely what was involved with sealing countertops, but we went for it, and we are SO thrilled with the final product. Everyone knows marble can be difficult to maintain, but with the sealant Bing and his team put on the countertops, we feel so much less nervous about the maintenance. The team was prompt to respond when setting up an appointment, punctual, incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and got the job done even faster than initially predicted (despite the fact that we actually had more marble for them to seal than they anticipated when they showed up). The marble countertops are now not only more gorgeous, but they're also protected, so we can rest easy. And upkeep only suggests the sealant be replaced roughly every 7-10 years! I had Opti Coat Pro ceramic coating applied to my white Audi, and also had the windows tinted. I couldn't believe the difference after proper paint correction and the Opti coat pro application. I never expected my white car to have that wet look that you typically only associate with darker colored cars. I was blown away at depth of this gloss. I must have went into my garage 4 or 5 times to admire my newly restored and shiny white paint. Unbelievable results. Ryan explained the critical first steps required to achieve the ultimate shine. Proper paint correction is the key so don't assume any shop can apply Opti Coat and achieve the same results. The window tint is also impressive going to the exact edge of the glass (no 1/8" strip of clear glass showing). Bing will give you a demonstration of all the various films and their level of heat barrier they provide. I also had film applied to my windshield to further reduce heat transfer, but I chose clear for the windshield as a personal preference. read more
