    Saroja (deep fried eggplant)

We ordered the express lunch with chicken (shish tawook) and it was DELICIOUS: juicy chicken, refreshing salad, fluffy soft pita and good hummus / baba ghanoj. Unfortunately, the saroja is DEEP FRIED eggplant which is not what we expected and we would not order it again. Such a nice place to rest after a morning of shopping on Oxford Street, we will be back!

Absolutely incredible spot on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) of the Kingly Food Court in Soho. I came in on a recommendation but shortsightedly forgot to put down a reservation and was initially discouraged by the 1 hr wait time told to the part of 3 ahead of me. However, on speaking to the welcoming hostess Linda she was able to place a reservation for me with a 1 hr wait but was told I will likely be seated way before then. My wait time passed quick with a drink in the food court and when I returned 30 mins later I was immediately seated, huge thanks to Linda for getting that done. The restaurant ambience is surprisingly open, and did not feel cramped despite sitting close to your neighbors. The waiters and even the owner came to greet tables and made it feel all the more homey. For 1, i wanted to try their Baba Ganoush paired with a homemade pita, as well as a main dish for lunch. The baba Ganoush was truly spectacular with a well pureed and spiced texture interspersed with hints of tart from the pomegranate seeds; first time I've tasted that pairing but I can't imagine it otherwise now! For my main, i chose the Makmour Jaj and it was so flavorful. The chicken was so freshly cooked, the rice flavored with herbs I cannot even name, and topped with the same tart hints of pomegranate seeds. A truly delectable rice dish that I didn't expect, with a veritable 5 star and Michelin guide recommended restaurant experience. Highly recommended to all that made it to the bottom of my review haha.

Tasteful, culturally relevant space with a good amount of options! Love the emphasis on sharing with the different mezzes. I enjoyed the baba ganosuh and the hummus + beef very much and both the chicken and lamb tawook!

This food at this place is SO good! We walked in at 5:30 pm without reservations and were able to find a table. We got two dips and pita, baba ganoush and another made of zucchini I believe that I'm forgetting the name of. It was the best pita I ever had. I've never had pita that fluffy and light before. For mains, we got cauliflower and lamb (again, forgetting the names). The lamb was tasty, but the cauliflower was impressive. It was tender enough to cut easily with a knife and flavor fully seasoned. It inspired us to look at cauliflower recipes afterwards, dreaming of recreating this one. The ice cream at the end with candy floss was the cherry on top. The vanilla ice cream was chewy and covered in pistachios. The candy floss melted on the tongue. It was a unique and supremely tasty experience. The restaurant is well decorated and has a light ambiance. Our server was kind and helped us by recommending some items. I loved my experience here and would highly recommend it to someone looking for good food in London.

Imad's is currently on the Michelin Bib Gourmand guide so I decided to try it out. The menu is kind of tapas style where they have small plates for everyone to share. Seems like a lot of high-end restaurants in London have tapas/family style menu, maybe because they can earn more money as people are more willing to order more. Either way, I was able to get a fairly reasonable time to eat dinner even though I only booked it a couple of days in advance. - Falafel - I have realized that cheap falafel tastes very different from expensive falafel mostly because the expensive ones have more of a sesame seed flavor and extremely crisp outsides. Imad's falafel is definitely in the more expensive falafel category, though the flavor wasn't super memorable, so wouldn't be something you have to get here. - Zahraa Harra - Debatably the best dish of the night which is quite interesting because this is a vegetarian option. The cauliflower was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and I really appreciate the salty seasoning they put on it. - Shish Tawook - This is essentially a chicken and potatoes dish. I thought both were pretty standard. In fact, the chicken, juicy as it is, didn't have a ton of flavor so the tomato mayonnaise was much needed. I even dipped the chicken into the tomato "sauce" from the Fattet Macdous. The pita bread which had sun-dried tomato paste all over the insides was absolutely delicious. - Fattet Macdous - The minced lamb here was pretty good although it just only had the fatty lamb flavor so having the tomato "sauce" definitely did help cut through that. I did appreciate that they gave more sauce so that the dish wouldn't be so dry. Overall, pretty solid experience at Imad's. Does it deserve that Michelin Bib Gourmand? Not sure, but you won't be disappointed either way. By the way, it is on the top floor of the Kingly Court which is such an adorable place.

Vegetarian express lunch, lamb express lunch, and potatoes

SO GOOD!!!!! I was in town for only a week and ate a lot, but this restaurant is without a doubt one of my favorite spots I went to. We walked in around 2pm on a weekday and it was fine, but I recommend making a reservation if you can. But definitely come for lunch and get the express lunch. Every single part was delicious. Fantastic hummus and falafel and pita! We were leaving that same day and the waitstaff was very kind and let us stow our bags. It's also very cute and aesthetic inside, but can be tricky to find it's on the upper level of Kingly Court. I'd be interested in coming back for dinner, but the express lunch is such an amazing deal. A must visit!

I had a fantastic meal here, I got 4 items to share between my friend and I. Everything we order was delicious from the eggplant to the chicken. The place was quite busy for a weekday dinner so make a reservation. The 4 items was way too much for us to finish although they did recommend for us to get more. As long as you don't mind leftovers, definitely go for more or bring a bigger group and try everything on the menu.

Amazing new restaurant for Syrian food! I had quite some high expectations and it didn't disappoint. I have shared a few starters and mains and they were all really good and well presented. The Baba Ghanoj was amazing and very cool plated in the eggplant. Falafel were also very tasty although a bit small. The lamb dish that I had (Fettet Macdous) was good but the chicken ones were even better (Jaj Barghol and Shish Tawook) since the cooking was perfect and the seasoning excellent. The Baklava for a sweet end are also recommended since they are very generous on the amount of pistachios. Prices are fair for the quality of food and the location and service is quick and attentive.

Me and my friend finally reached this place after a 10 something walk from the metro station. Our friends were seated outside but it was pleasantly warm due to the heaters they had. We were starving so we decided on a fattoush salad and grilled chicken wings. They were good, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. I tasted the mango and grape mint flavored hookahs and they were good too. I have had similarly good hookah in Virginia so it wasn't something special but was upto par at least. For anyone visiting London and missing middle-eastern cuisine, Edgeware Street is known as the 'Arab central' as there is a hookah cafe in every corner and various arab/turkish stores along the way. Come here if you miss kabobs and hookah!

I had the couscous with chicken and lamb brochettes, my partner had the tangine chicken. We started with Hummus Beiruty which was spicy, but not too much. My entree was delicious and a reasonable portion. We shared and my partner's chicken was the most tender I've ever had. We ended the meal with baclava, fresh fruit, and mint tea that was on the house! The tea was not as minty or sweet as I'd had in Morocco, but was still good. Treat yourself to a really good meal that is reasonably priced.
