This is a very clean remodeled unit on the second floor with a large lanai from where one can watch Friday night fireworks. It looks straight out to the boat harbor and its activities. The kitchen and bedding come well equipped. This is a perfect location in a quiet setting at the gateway to Waikiki. It's a short walk to Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon and beach.

Used an Airbnb to stay here for a week. If you're looking for a place with a pool, massage place, etc then this is not for you. If you want something inexpensive yet it has a full kitchen, decent sized room and living room then it's perfect! It was close to the beach, nice sunrise / sunsets everyday. Quiet. We were next to the trash disposal so it did smell a little when leaving but other than that I would stay here again. Also, there's no free parking so you would have to pay for street parking or the condo parking garage

1289 Review Lauren's condo was very clean and well kept up. She was very responsive and helpful! The hallways are a little creepy and dated, but I'm not sleeping out there am I?!

The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. They immediately set us up with everything we needed for a relaxing day by the water and even offered us a discount, which was such a thoughtful touch. They delivered everything right to our resort and later came back to pick it all up, making the experience effortless from beginning to end. The owner was especially wonderful--warm, genuine, and full of great recommendations for local spots to eat and explore. It was such a beautiful reminder of the true aloha spirit we love so much. As someone who grew up on the island of Guam--another beautiful but farther-to-reach Pacific gem--returning to Hawaii always fills my spirit with that same island way of life: generous, easygoing, deeply rooted in community and kindness. I'm so grateful for places and people like this who make you feel right at home, wherever you are in the world.

It's a holiday weekend and they demanded a response the same day. We replied the following morning but were told they already cancelled our reservation. Wouldn't we just book again at their new price that's $1,500 more? Talking to them to try and resolve, it was clear they just wanted more money. There was no urgent issue, they never called, they just decided they could get more money than our reservation. So be warned if you reserve with them... they may leave you hanging. EDIT: The owner left a response citing verification processes. We completed everything asked for on booking and NEVER received any communications on August 28 or 29. I have the message receipts and can gladly share. Our only message was Aug. 30 and we responded within a day, despite the holiday weekend! The property was still available. They just wanted to jack the price over $1k.

Parking is 2 blocks away and you have to roll your luggage through two different hotels. $28+ per day. When you get off a flight all you do not want to do is maze your way though a hotel. My dude did all the check in in the back office by the sundries shop. We had a low level floor right over the pool. It was a bit noisy but we were right over the pool... duh. There are two pools. One is accessible though the second floor more of a lounge in the water type shallow pool, the other a small deeper pool with kids able to bounce around. The hotel is nice, our room was modern and recently renovated. Kitchen (no dishwasher), huge flat screen, cali king bed, and couch pull out. Room is comfortable for 2 and I would never sleep 4! Minutes (maybe 5) to the beach walking. You can easily access all of Waikiki beach paste the Hale Koa in about 10 minutes. I would probably stay here again. I ended up breaking my right thumb doing this. Even worse--there was an 80-year-old woman on the 30th floor and a pregnant woman on the 28th, both forced to use the stairs. This is a serious safety hazard with no proper support or contingency plan. Completely unacceptable and dangerous. Would not stay here again.

The house was rented for three days and a wedding event was held there for about 60 people. If you…read morewant a beautiful venue for a wedding or other event, this location is hard to beat. It has a huge yard right on the ocean with spectacular sunset views. People should be aware that pretty much all you're getting for your money is the location and scenery. The house has an old Hawaiian feel with large rooms and open architecture. It was built in 1964 and actually has a total of 10 bedrooms; however, there are only 6 bedrooms and 4 baths available for rental. The other bedrooms are either rented out separately, or the owner lives in them. Even though there is a large parking area, carport, and garage, there are only 4 spaces available when you rent the 6 bed, 4 bath part of the house. There is street parking available about 200 yds. away, but you have to walk on the shoulder of a very busy highway. The driveway entrance to the house is also on this same busy highway, so getting in and out is not easy. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the house. We had to wash the large sliding glass doors and several of the windows in prominent areas. Some of the screens in the bedrooms had large tears. There were several large mirrors in the dining room - one of which was cracked. There were not enough towels for all the guests - some bathrooms had no towels, and we had to supply our own. There was an odd collection of dishes and really not enough of them considering the number of people that could stay there. The dishwasher was not attached to the underside of the countertop, so every time we opened the door, the dishwasher would tilt forward, and dishes would spill out. We actually had to weed-wack a large area of the back lawn (right outside the back door where all the guests would be) where there were 12" tall grass weeds sticking up. The entrance to the house is a courtyard where there is a pool which is not very inviting since the bottom looks like it needs to be cleaned and refinished. Nobody wanted to go in the pool. Basically, this is an old island house that really needs some TLC. Also, be sure to read the rental pricing carefully. Paying $1,500/night to rent the place does not allow you to hold any events while you're there. There is an additional $3,000 fee if you want to hold an event. We were aware of that, so it wasn't a problem, but that extra cost should be considered if you're planning an event.

It was a little further from the middle of Waikiki (closer to Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park) but overall was okay. We had a car and I don't remember what we paid but less than a lot of places. Place was undergoing some rehab so we had that to contend with down in the garage area. No problem finding a parking space, although area a little tight. Room was clean, (tower1) and had partial ocean view, waikiki beach. The Sunday we were there, we awoke to a man hanging from the building, a potential suicide. It ended okay but we were limited as to which way we could go when we left the building. All in all an okay stay. Staff very friendly. Check in was done via Key Code without problems.

We did get a discounted rate since the amenities on the 6th floor were under construction (no jacuzzi/pool/sauna access). Luckily we were able to stay on the 36th floor (there's a total of 38) so we had amazing views from our balcony. The lobby area looks like a hotel and has a nearby little waterfall area that adds to the aesthetic. I enjoyed my stay here as I wasn't looking for any over the top amenities. We walked every day for food since we had endless options to choose from. The beach is within a 10 min walk as well so really you don't need a car if you stay here. They even have trolley services that will take you to different spots. Overall, I'd recommend staying here for the convenience of everything being so walkable but also the views were immaculate

The price per night was unbelievable (lower rates due to COVID actually). Paul greeted us upon arrival; he seemed like a quirky fun person just living his best life with aloha . He always picks up the phone too which is good. The unit itself was clean, presentable, and homey; absolutely loved the outdoor balcony. There were plenty of towels (including beach towels), tissues, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap, silverware, etc., stocked in the condo. We even used the laundry detergent, HOWEVER, the price per load to wash and dry was very high (~$4 to wash & almost the same to dry!) and limited to only quarters (..this was a struggle during the coin shortage). I normally don't do laundry when I'm away on vacation so it will not affect my review.. (but we went through towels so fast from surfing everyday.) Every time I visit Honolulu, I always try to book one of Annie's rentals first and hope that there's availability during my trip dates! I'm one of those people that does extensive research and price comparisons on different rentals before every trip, and Annie's units are the best value every time. I've experienced two month-long stays at one of her Ilikai Marina units, and I'd book the exact same rental again every time I return if it's available. The unit was bright, clean, spacious, and peaceful. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on. Even if I had a naked Ryan Gosling in my bed, I'd still choose sleep over sex because the bed and pillows are THAT comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast and consistent, even during video-heavy Zoom calls, so you'll have no problems working remotely. The Ilikai Marina is a prime location with so much to do within walking distance like Magic Island, Ala Moana, and everything Waikiki has to offer. There's a Biki station right around the block, so I biked pretty much everywhere. On top of all this, Annie and Adrianne are incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Annie was super responsive and accommodating. From the booking process where she explained everything to going above and beyond such as leaving snacks in the kitchen, water in the fridge, and laundry detergent in the closet since we were staying longer term. These details made us feel really welcome and Annie also has the best suggestions on places to eat or things to do in the area.
