We were craving pizza in Madrid. We read some mixed reviews and were a little leery of dining here. We decided to give it a try and chose a table outside on the patio. It was a hot summer night, but the patio was full of misters to cool patrons off. They also had inside tables available. We started out by ordering drinks. I had beer, which was reasonably priced at €4.00. My sister opted for red wine which was €5.30 a glass. Our drinks came out quickly and were served with a small (2pieces) complimentary tapas plate.
There were many tapas items, salads, pastas, pizzas, seafood and meat entrees on the menu. I ordered the pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms. It was €14.50 and a big serving; although it was not cut into slices. The pizza was just ok. It could have used more sauce, but I did like the crust a lot. My sister had the Pizza Capricciosa which was €14.30 and also uncut. She said it was really good; full of ham, olives, mushrooms, and artichokes. We both could only finish 1/2 of our pizzas. While we were dining we had street performers come by and put on a break dancing show and then ask for tips. It only lasted for a few minutes and we found it entertaining so we gave them a few coins.
The main negative thing we had seen about the restaurant was that the servers aggressively asked the clientele for tips. We did not experience this at all; but then again we left a small tip. I did notice it said "tip not included" on the bottom of our check. read more
