Quite a petite establishment but has a lot to offer. There were both indoor seating and outdoor seating; dolce and savory pastries; coffee and alcoholic drinks. We had the Roman classic maritozzi, which is a soft butter bun filled with cream and topped with sugar dust. It was quite enjoyable, not overwhelming sweet.

Sicilian style rice balls. Rice/eggplant w cheese filling (L) and rice with cheese/ham/pea filling (R). Both delicious.

Found myself as a silly tourist trying to find "dinner" at 4:30 pm in this area of Rome. Yelp had many exciting options until I switched the "open now" filter. The concierge at the hotel recommended this and I am very glad she did! The place is beautiful and spotless inside, with lots of both sweet and savory options for that "it is not dinner yet" time of day. Service was friendly and helpful despite my inability to speak Italian. We pointed and picked our choices and told the server we wanted to sit down. He indicated he'd meet us outside. He brought our food and drinks (savory items were all hot and tasted fresh). a little while later he brought us the bill. We paid inside and went our merry way. I would definitely come back to try more of their items as the desserts also looked great and the massive coffee apparatus makes me think their good must be great too.

Wonderful pastry. Maritozzi was very good and the reason we stopped in. I'd recommend.

Huge variety of pastries and cakes! Croissants are awesome! There is a additional seating area at the back. Recommend if you are in Prati

It was a Sunday morning in Rome and this place was right across from my hotel. Cheap prices and great food. Very close to the Vatican

They have pretty good drinks and pastries, but the staff tried short changing me, so be careful.

Welcome to the carb carnival. Next stop on our food tour, daring you to try just one more slice…read moreafter your pants have already waved the white flag. This is no ordinary pizza place, it's a forno, which is Italian for oven. Naturally, someone here looked at the bread, looked at the toppings, and said, Yes, this shall be pizza now. We kicked things off with the Margherita, the classy queen of pizzas, literally. Named after Queen before Italy decided to liberate itself, this was your classic tomato-mozzarella-basil situation. Red, Green and White like the Italian Flag. Regal. Nostalgic. Tastes like a monarchy that actually works. Then came the potato pizza, which, let me tell you, was a surprise carb ambush. Like, Oh cute, a slice of starch on starch. Bread with potatoes on it. For when your body is craving a food coma. And then came the Marinara, my personal Roman romance. No cheese, all attitude. Spicy, saucy, simple. Like that one ex who was too intense but kind of unforgettable. Let's talk style: Roman pizza is not your floppy Neapolitan mess that folds into a pizza burrito the moment it hits your plate. No no, Roman pizza stands its ground. It's a little thicker and definitely crunchier. You don't need to roll it, cradle it, or whisper encouragement. It just is. And I love it more than I probably should. La Renella is where bread goes to find its higher purpose which is to be pizza.

Another stop during our food tour led by Valentina with Tasting Europe…read more At this bakery, we got to taste a pizza filled with pork and Italian beer. Omgosh, what a treat! If I didn't know that I needed to leave a lot of room in my belly since this was only one of the many stops, I would've eaten more! Valentina did an amazing job telling us the story about this local bakery which also baked bread to other local businesses. A very good bakery/pizzeria!
