Pasta was absolutely amazing here (if you can't handle spicy, don't get this dish though)

You must try their truffle dishes if you are coming here. They're absolutely amazing. Their pasta is also very well known with some true authentic Roman pastas you cannot miss like carbonara and amatriciana. This place was one of the only places that me and my girlfriend went to TWICE!

Cute cafe in Rome just a short walk from the Spanish Steps. We had a "breakfast" here. Fantastic coffee. I had the double espresso and my wife enjoyed a latte macchietto. My wife enjoyed the toast and jam. The cafe also offers egg dishes if you're in the mood for something more substantial. Fantastic service and an enjoyable vibe.

Great service and outstanding coffee! Everyone was very friendly and courteous. This was a regular daily stop for us, some days we made 2-3 visits!!

There are so many sidewalk cafes in Rome, and quite a few in this vicinity, just down from the Piazza del Popolo. But La Buvette distinguishes itself from its neighbors, and the unlimited restaurants serving pasta and pizza throughout Rome, with clever menu concoctions. Not as busy as other cafes, less flashy than places with extensive menus and less creativity, La Buvette has a spectacular Tuscan chicken with sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese in a delectable sauce, served in a metal dish atop a beautiful plate. This quiet restaurant is tucked away from the madness, yet simultaneously near all the action.

Love the cozy outdoor table area! Enjoy people watching while sipping a refreshing aperol spritz! This is a return visit after enjoying the atmosphere and service back in 2019...was not disappointed!!

Charming and delightfully decored spot right in the heart of the primo shopping district. Take a break from high end fashion shopping and step in here for a beautiful pastry or a sit down breakfast lunch or dinner. I came for breakfast. The staff are fairly attentive and well dressed in matching uniforms. The lighting and music give just the right feel. I had orange juice that was beautiful and delicious and the eggs Benedict with hollandaise. It was cooked perfectly and hollandaise was light and sophisticated. I may have wished for slightly higher quality ham as opposed to what was like deli ham but this was not enough to take a star. The rest over compensated. Ah yes, and he night before, when I discovered the place looking for s late night grappa, I learned they also have a respectable grappa list (4 white and 4 brown). Go if in the area!!

If you're looking for a classic Roman coffee experience, La Casa del Caffè Tazza d'Oro is…read moredefinitely one to add to your list. Located just steps from the Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda, this historic coffee bar has been a Roman institution since 1946 and is especially known for its coffee, which has helped make it one of the city's most famous cafés. The line was pretty long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly. You can enjoy your coffee and pastries inside while standing at the counter, or, if you're lucky, grab one of the few seats available inside. There's also outdoor seating, but keep in mind that sitting outside comes with a separate--and if I remember correctly, significantly higher--service charge. I'll be honest--I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing. I ended up with what was essentially a frosty coffee ice cream, which is not what I was going for, lol. I was supposed to order the Granita di caffè con panna, which is their signature. It's a coffee granita--essentially finely shaved/frozen coffee--topped with whipped cream. Instead of whipped cream, I accidentally told my Italian nephew I wanted the coffee with ice cream, whoops. I also ordered a maritozzo, which I was absolutely on a mission to try while in Rome. The maritozzo is a traditional Roman sweet bun filled generously with whipped cream, and it did not disappoint. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't have time to enjoy my maritozzo there. I packed it up and ate it later that evening, and it was still delicious. I've also essentially given up coffee completely, so I only had a few bites and sips of my coffee ice cream, but what I tried was really good. The menu is fairly large and varied, and it can feel a little overwhelming when you're standing at the counter with a line behind you. I'd recommend taking a look at the menu ahead of time if you can so you have an idea of what you want before you get up to order. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Tazza d'Oro is an institution, the location is hard to beat, and there's something fun about experiencing one of Rome's longtime coffee traditions--even if you accidentally order the wrong thing like I did!
