Just in between the subway, tram, and Vatican, on the shopping street, this was my lifesaver and favorite spot during our stay in Rome. Why? Quite simple: When you are running from one shop into the next one, looking at what seems to be thousands of nice outfits on your partner, and at some point simply cannot see the difference between the red and the light red and the black dress any more or answer the question which shoes would look better with that dress we looked at four shops earlier... come here, take a look at their delicious pastries and decide for any one (you can't go wrong), and order a cappuccino with it. Ask twice if you really heard something sounding like two fifty, drop the change into the glass filled with water next to the cashier, and enjoy... Enjoy not only the sweet taste of your pastry, or the great aroma of the excellent roast of Danesi in your small cup, but also the professional and impressive pace at which the lady is making one coffee after the other, the owner is selling pastries and filling up the counter in the little breaks, or his brother stepping in and getting an order ready from one of the shops I just left... It seemed not only to be my lifesaver, but also the one for many employees in the surrounding shops. A lot of locals also come in here, order their coffee for one euro, drink it and chat some sentences before leaving again. All staff are so friendly, smiling and seem to enjoy their work, every time I went here. There is no seating which I would say is the only backdraw, together with the fact it is quite narrow and barely fitting five, six customers. Well, it's not a restaurant but a bakery with great coffee, so enjoy your visit, refill your energy, and off you go with power to make it through either the next hours of shopping or the next hours of waiting in line at the Vatican.

Great, quick breakfast spot. Lots of options for Americans who are used to eating breakfast, though locals frequent here also.

My wife and I went to this place every day whilst we visited Rome and were sad to have to leave it behind.

OK, I know I'm doing this wrong. I'm "supposed" to prefer the local gelato places that use the…read morelittle metal containers that hide the product, not some foreign mega brand that puts bigass visible trays of gelato in front of tourists... BUT: I was on a mission, and that mission was to find the best dark chocolate gelato in Rome, and somehow this place caught my eye, with its super dark gelato flavors. So I gave it a try... and wow. Mission accomplished. They have a few flavors here that are truly special that I could not find elsewhere in Rome... or at least not a version as good as the versions we had here. I got a three flavor cup, and both the "dark / noir" and the "coffee chocolate" (or some Italian word for that) were amazing. I forget what the third one was. What about the other Lindt products in this store? I have no idea. I stopped buying Lindt chocolate ever since the doses I picked up at Safeway in the states failed to make it past the first round of my taste tests.

The shop offers a safe haven from the busy Italian street. I was drawn to the elegant decorations…read moreand being a fan of Lindt chocolates, entering was hard to resist. Inside there are many choices for dessert, all of them nicely decorated and great tasting. Past the front section where you can purchase gelato and dine-in desserts, there are huge bins full of their signature candies (truffles and more) that you can mix and weigh yourself. If you are a chocolate lover, this is a good place to check out. It is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. My only gripe is that the fruity candies (chews, gummies, etc) are not very tasty... but hey, they are known for chocolate so that's alright with me.

To the point where I asked the servers where I can purchase it and they said they get it from here. What a hidden gem!!! Located directly behind the Pantheon, this is the tea shop of my dreams. It smells amazing, obviously, and the sweetest woman was so patient with us and helped us out with choosing teas. These teas are loose leaf teas that are sold by the gram. They have hundreds of different teas from kombucha to chamomile to ginseng to orange to various black teas and green teas. The lady who helped us was so knowledgeable about different teas and you could tell she truly enjoyed what she does. I've never seen or smelled so many teas in my life. We kind of went crazy and bought 60 euros of tea but the bags were big, the prices amazing, and the smells enchanting. I knew that I couldn't find a tea shop that comes remotely close to this one in the US so we bought enough to have over months to come. Highly highly recommend this tea shop if you're looking for authentic tea!

Very aromatic to say the least. The cashier was attentive with us as she explained what types of teas they made and how they were mainly loose leaves to help with the subtle notes and hints of flavors a tea connoisseur would be able to identify. It is a cozy store and they also sell chocolates!!!!!!! I would definitely return on my next visit to pick up some teas and some delicious chocolate to bring back home!
