OK, I know I'm doing this wrong. I'm "supposed" to prefer the local gelato places that use the little metal containers that hide the product, not some foreign mega brand that puts bigass visible trays of gelato in front of tourists... BUT: I was on a mission, and that mission was to find the best dark chocolate gelato in Rome, and somehow this place caught my eye, with its super dark gelato flavors. So I gave it a try... and wow. Mission accomplished. They have a few flavors here that are truly special that I could not find elsewhere in Rome... or at least not a version as good as the versions we had here. I got a three flavor cup, and both the "dark / noir" and the "coffee chocolate" (or some Italian word for that) were amazing. I forget what the third one was. What about the other Lindt products in this store? I have no idea. I stopped buying Lindt chocolate ever since the doses I picked up at Safeway in the states failed to make it past the first round of my taste tests. read more

The shop offers a safe haven from the busy Italian street. I was drawn to the elegant decorations and being a fan of Lindt chocolates, entering was hard to resist. Inside there are many choices for dessert, all of them nicely decorated and great tasting. Past the front section where you can purchase gelato and dine-in desserts, there are huge bins full of their signature candies (truffles and more) that you can mix and weigh yourself. If you are a chocolate lover, this is a good place to check out. It is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. My only gripe is that the fruity candies (chews, gummies, etc) are not very tasty... but hey, they are known for chocolate so that's alright with me. read more

The Lindt store is my favorite sweet spot on Piazza della Maddalena, easy walking distance from Pantheon. It's just me, please don't judge, shhhhhhh... but I favor rich Swiss chocolate ice cream over gelato! The Lindt store is a place I gravitate towards, when out and about in the Centro Storico. Talk about chocolate indulgence. For €2.50 you can get the most delicious and smooth Varesino con Panna or Lindtotto, pick from a variety of chocolate based hot drinks, or a multitude of chocolate creations. And the extra fondente cioccolato icecream, or man, don't get me started! This is the Lindt flagship store in Roma. There are literally hundreds of treats to choose from. The staggering amount of Lindt chocolates in unprecedented variety is sold here. These little balls of smooth creamy heaven, wrapped in a hard shell sphere that melts in your mouth, oh, oui, the shades of brown they are! Not only do they come in the most common varieties seen in the U.S., but also in dozens of different flavors and of varying degree of cocoa content, unbelievable! Do you need any excuse to go cocoa crazy? It's a good alternative to the other cafes in the area, and also fairly priced in comparison. Not only that, but they have some sitting area inside and outside, on the cobblestone paved side street. You may get lucky if you come in off pick hours. The Nutella crepe was amazing with a side of whip! Cute Lindt chocolate shop with a variety of flavors. It was my first time at a Lindt shop and I was ecstatic to see that they customize heart shaped chocolates and chocolate bars! You can write anything you'd like on it, but you'll have to come back to pick it up (it's not immediate). We ordered 3 heart shaped chocolates with our nieces and nephew's name on them as souvenirs. Apparently there are two sizes for the heart, which you can't even tell the difference in size honestly. The small is for $2.99 euros, larger one for $3.99, and chocolate bar (much larger) for just $4.99. We initially ordered the bar, since it was only $1 more than the large heart, but due to miscommunication (English and Italian), the chocolatier made us 2 small hearts and 1 big heart. I was pretty disappointed, since we waited 1.5 hours for them to be made. When we came to pick them up, it was a huge bummer..... on top of that only the big one came in the box and the other two in a flimsy plastic bag. :( Cute option though, just be sure to be super specific and confirm your order before leaving. VERY overpriced chocolate, but it's delicious and has always been one of my favorite chocolate brands. That being said, this place was a great find because I had never heard of Lindt gelato. Their gelato lived up to the standards of their chocolate and was so delicious! If you like Lindt or chocolate in general, this is a place to visit! I've found other gelato places in Italy that I like more in general, but I'm still very glad I tried this for their chocolate gelato flavors. read more

The best ever chocolate cappuccino coffee is called the Cappucciok and you can order a combo with the chocolate croissant which is filled with chocolate right before they give it to you. We love this place. The chocolate muffin was also great. For some reason, we always ended up at Lindt at some point every day. Probably because we loved it. read more

Ok, I'm not even a fan of Lindt balls back at home, but mix it up with a gelotteria and cafe, and these guys have nailed it. My wife enjoyed an amazing gelato (only $1 more for the fresh dipped cones they prepare by the door), our kids loved the chocolates they picked out. Prices was actually cheaper than the icy and flavorless gelato I got a block over by the pantheon, wish I waited but the kids wanted a cone while waiting in line to see the church! read more

Came here in late October. The crepe is delicious, and the gelato is delicious too. I had the dark chocolate gelato. It tastes just like the inside of a Lindt truffle! The truffles are pricey, so I would recommend getting flavors you can't buy anywhere else. Try the champagne flavored one! read more

Coming to Italy for vacation my boyfriend insisted I try an Affogato so I got one from Lindt. I shared the Affogato varessino with my friend, we got the hazelnut ice cream. It was a good mix with the coffee. I really like the chocolate spoons that it came with. Beautiful presentation and well worth the 4 euro! read more
