Are you hungry and want more just attitude Come and enjoy a fresh price of bread or sandwich with a good cup of coffee or even a hot chocolate Amazing taste and quality What's best is the friendly people behind the counter which spoke both English and Spanish I wish this bakery was in Southern California I will come here again on my next trip

Awesome little bakery shop not too far from the Vatican. Large variety of delicious goods. I'd give it 5 stars but the only knock was the location and somewhat difficult to find. But like all gems and treasures they are hidden with the joy of discovery. We got a cannoli and stuffed croissant and both were good. Highly suggest you find this place and dive in.

I lived near this bakery for quite a while and let me tell you.. it's the best around!! Open 24/7, cheap, and delicious!!

Hidden gem. Amazing cannoli for a great price. The best cannoli I have ever had. Highly recommend a visit to this place.

Their Cannolis were AMAZING!! I recommend 100%. It's hidden, you need to walk down stairs, but it's definitely worth the walk!

This bakery is open 24 hours and everything in it is fabulous. We noticed that even the Roman police drop by in the early mornings.

It was ok, I've had better cannoli and tiramisu in the US. But on par with some of the restaurants in Rome and much cheaper.

My "medium" sized cone was a tad larger than a small but not American sized which I appreciated, it was just enough to fill a moderately hungry stomach, and gave me a taste of the gelato I'd been missing. Lovely little spot, stop in!

We saw a gentleman sitting outside, enjoying a gelato and it peaked our interest. The young lady working the establishment was not very friendly, but we weren't there to make friends. However, great customer service really does go a long way, especially when you're a tourist away from the comfort of home. I ordered a cone of the pistachio gelato and my best friend ordered a cone of the banana gelato. Gelato is not as sweet as ice cream so don't expect to be overwhelmed by this dessert. The pistachio gave a hint of the taste of pistachio, but could've used a little more pistachio nuts to really bring this scoop to life. I tried the banana and it was overwhelming with banana flavor... Real bananas by the way. You really have to be a banana lover to partake in this cone. I have had better gelato in the states, but wanted to try this regionally specific treat.

Expecting it to be there one year, I walked over to Piazza Navona and Gelateria Navona had evidently closed. I would then get gelato here and there. I then learned that Giolitti is a long standing gelateria and it's also in the historic center. I filed the name away in my head. Then, one day, I happened to walk right in front of it without even looking for it, so I went in. Giolitti is popular and it can be crowded. I'm going to say that I waited about 10 to 15 minutes. You pay at a counter first, deciding on what you want and how much of it, such as scoops and whether it will be in a cup or a cone. Once up at the counter, they don't rush you, which surprised me. I don't take that much time since I don't experiment much, but I still appreciate the courtesy. The price is roughly what everyone else in the historic center is charging. I always opt for the gelato it in a cup so you can "control" the dripping. The gelato - a mix of dark chocolate and two citrus flavors - was "molto buono." That said, just because it's so popular, I'm not going to downgrade Giolitti for it and complain about the crowds. You downgrade gourmet donut places in the U.S. where their fame has gone to their heads. There is also a spacious salon with nicer decor in which you can eat inside. At this point, Giolitti is really the only gelateria in Rome whose name I remember. I would gladly go back and I recommend it.
