I had a class down the street and the locals recommended it. It's in a touristy area and the waiter assumed I knew nothing so he was rude about the menu. I got my wine and it's obviously been a bottle open for days, I said it turned he said no it's how it tastes I said I don't like it, he walked away. I spend 3 months a year in Italy and don't feel like I should be treated like a dumb American even though I only speak a little Italian and am learning in a class. Stopped by this cute little cafe for a cocktail on a hot afternoon. Enjoyed a refreshing spritz, had some bitterness to it but added a little sugar and bam it was perfect. Lots of sweet desserts available, we just had the drinks. A few tables outside to use. read more

Amazing Gelato!!! Me and my family were looking for a gelato place that didn't taste fake or was so sugary but this one was perfect and the best part was the price was not very expensive. The place was highly recommend by the locals. I was looking for pastries and found them here. It's a small store with really good stuff. I recomend to take your order to go. I think I tried one of each of the pastries. I would do it again. The pastries some of them are small enough not to make me feel to guilty for what I was doing. They have a big reputation for there Cannolis. I had to try one. I can see why. The shell is nice and crunchy. I had a cinnamon shell one. They freshly fill it up for you with a fresh sweet mixture of ricotta cheese and then you pick chocolate chips or pistachios to add. It was delicious. I am an officially a cannoli lover. With many different bakeries to choose from in Rome, I think Ciuri Ciuri gets a bad reputation for being a chain. However, I personally think this is one of the best cannolis I had while I was in Rome, and I tried quite a few! They have a few locations around the Rome Center and if you happen to find one open I highly recommend you stop in for a cannolo or two. The way to know wether a place has a good cannolo or not is wether or not they fill it in front of you. While the prefilled and decorated cannolo towers in front of pastry displays may look nice, I guarantee you they're soggy from the shell being in contact with the ricotta all day long. Ciuri Ciuri knows how to do them right! They'll get a freshly made shell and fill it right in front of you and proceed to ask you if you'd like it dipped in chocolate chips or pistachio. If you can't decide on one, get one of each on each end! The end result is a perfectly crispy outer shell with a creamy, not too sweet ricotta filling. Amazing! I dream of the day I can go back to Rome to enjoy some cannolis from here again. Add it to your list! read more

Cannoli! They fill it for you upon ordering. You get your choice of toppings, we went for chocolate chips all the way :P The shell is crisp and fresh. The filling was cool, creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. They offer a lot of other goodies as well, including gelato. Their mini tarts are delicious too. This bakery isn't much at first glance however their pastries are superb. A local Rome resident recommended this bakery to me and I have to say that she was right. The bakery has very reasonable prices and offers a variety of gelato, cannolis, marzipans, and cookies. They have a lot of pistachio options. My particular favorite was the marzipan. For two large cannolis, one medium cannoli, one small cannoli, one marzipan and two cookies the total only came to €12. there are seating areas above the store and refrigerator full cakes for Takeaway. I was so thankful that Ciuri Ciuri Celio was near my hotel because the hotel breakfast was subpar and overpriced. Ciuri Ciuri had freshly squeezed orange made on the spot, the softest cornetto (Italian for French croissant), and cappuccino around 10 euros. Came here by accident on my first visit to Rome after exiting the metro, the gelato was amazing then and it is just as I remember it. I decided to yelp it to see what others had to say, and was shocked at the low ratings. So after reading a couple of the low rated reviews it was clear that most of the reviewers that gave low ratings clearly have no idea what they are talking about and shouldn't even be writing reviews. On my first visit I ordered the melon gelato, and words could not describe how amazing it was. It was as if I was biting into a perfectly ripe, juicy piece of melon dripping down the side of my mouth. On this second visit, I decided to celebrate my last night in Rome by treating myself to a familiar treat. After making my way across Rome by foot, with only a vague knowledge that it was near a metro. I finally found it, and rushed in. Luckily there was no one there, just like the last time. The nice guy who works there promptly assisted me, and I ordered a large pistacchio and pistacchio with ricotta. I quickly payed and rushed to sit at the near by stairway (just like last time). After I took a quick snap of it, I started to devour it as it was already dripping on the side of the cup. While in Rome I knew we had to try a cannoli so I made sure to stop by Ciuri Ciuri on our trip. Upon arriving there was only one other customer ordering and I believe he was a local, he made a point to turn to me and my husband saying the cannolis here are amazing - Score! We ordered 2 cannolis, one with cream & chocolate chips and the other with pistachio cream. You can also choose what toppings each end gets dipped into (chocolate chips, crushed pistachio, or fruit). The cannolis were soooo delicious! They're pretty big so I definitely recommend sharing. The shop also offers several other tasty treats but we just had their cannoli. I do wish the service was a bit friendlier. The woman working the counter was being super friendly and talkative to the customer who appeared to be a local but when she interacted with us she was short and a bit hostile. Was looking for somewhere to get cannolis while in Rome and found this place close to where we were staying! Cannolis were delicious, we got it with pistachio and chocolate chip (double sided). We also got cappuccinos and shared a tiramisu. It was all delicious and the employees were very nice! The cannolis had perfectly crunchy shells and the ricotta filling was just the right amount of sweetness. They only charge 3 euros for a cannoli and a cappuccino. Well worth coming out for! I liked the coffee here. The cannoli were strange - the shell was fine, the filling was a bit odd and not at all like the ricotta cream I was expecting. It tasted chemical-y and very watery. I agree with a previous yelper, who stated that the cream tasted / smelled artificial. read more

Stopped in here for a cannoli yesterday. The restaurant is quite modern and offers a wide variety of sweets. We got a cannoli with chocolate chips and hazelnut on the outside. It was very sweet and the cream seemed a bit artificial and not homemade tasting. But it was still tasty! I highly suggest sharing one because they do get ultra sweet and it gets difficult to finish one on your own! Gelato is good (seems all the gelato in Rome is pretty decent) The pastries are ok, but honestly have had better back home or in other cities. Had the large cannoli (stuffed with chocolate chip ricotta, then dusted with powdered sugar and pistachio bits)-- but the cannoli shells had been pre-fried so they were a bit stale. They then fill them on the spot (so they aren't soggy), but the frying ahead of time means they aren't all warm and crispy. read more

We were staying at Hotel Columbia and Verena there recommended this place for good Sicilian style gelato. After eating dinner at Chicco di Grano nearby, we stopped by to get gelato. The service was okay; I wish they were friendlier. I got the smallest cup of coffee (2 euro), my daughter got a cone of pistachio with ricotta (2 euro), and my husband got a larger cup of lemon and berries (3 euro). All the ice cream was tasty. And my daughter also got a cannoli eiyh ricotta and chocolate chips (2.50). She really liked it. read more

This place is now managed by a non-italian owner who changed the ingredients to cheap alternatives. He admitted to using breakfast cream cheese instead of real ricotta for the cannoli. Also, the cannoli shells seem to made with spoiled oil, they had a unappetizing odor. The cafe is very dirty, the bathroom station absolutely gross.
