The pizza is just OK but does have a nice view from the patio which we all enjoyed very much and they were able to accommodate all eight of us and next-door they do have wine and coffee and snacks that you can grab the keep the house you rent

The view...ohhhhhhh, the view. I think the view just happens to make the food taste even better than it already does. Our driver, Davide (pronounced "David", likely to accommodate our American accents) recommended this little place and it was delish. Freshly made pasta (of course) and sauces...each one better than the one served before it. Loved the fantastic service, the setting and the view. Freshly made breads with verdant Italian olive oil, bruschetta with tomatoes whose taste is so exquisite I have no idea how I'll eat an American tomato again. The same tomatoes that make up the pomodoro, it was like eating a velvet tomato only much more flavorful. Crisp lettuce made up the salad. Couldn't have planned a more memorable lunch in the city of Sorrento.

We ate here our first night in Sorrento. They have a service that picks u up and drops u back off at your hotel. Good thing be aide it is all the way up in the mountains. Beautiful view. We were there at night but lunch or sunset dinner would be best. Although we did see fireworks in a distance. Tony the owner takes your oders gives u specials and reassures he is there for anything u need. Prices we extremely reasonable and food was very good. The lobster was cooked perfectly. Make a resi for an outside table.

This may have been the best meal I have ever eaten. Everything at this place was above and beyond our expectations from the staff, to the view, to the atmosphere, to the food. Started with the grilled calamari and vegetables, followed by the most perfectly cooked crab stuffed ravioli with fresh mussels and clams, then a main dish of sea bream in a lemon and basil butter sauce, finished all with a lemon cream cake and shots of limoncello. My girlfriend had same except did her main dish as sausage with mozzarella, I tried it and it was good... But not as good as the sea bream. You gotta remember seafood is going to be the way to go here since it's right of the coast. Make sure you make reservations for this place well in advance (especially during May-August) and if you are from out of the country and working with a travel agent, it helps to have them book it. Gracie Mille to all of the wait staff and chefs! We truly felt like we were treated as honored guests.

Amazing dinner at Il Borgo. We were looking for a restaurant with a nice view and good food and Il Borgo didn't disappoint. We sat on the small patio overlooking Sorrento. We ordered pizza, risotto and pasta - everything tasted (and was) homemade and very delicious. Overall excellent food, great view and great prices.

The location is fantastic and next to the harbor and the food and family are welcoming and fun to spend time with. Order the bruschetta and homemade pasta. Just say yes to the lemon tiramisu! You won't regret it. You likely find Angelo, the owner, or his beautiful daughters working hard to keep you well fed and satisfied. Quick tip. This is a casual, unpretentious, family-run joint that was, hands down, the best meal we've had in Italy. We started with the bruschette, classic with mozzarella. Incredible. It hit every note perfectly -- salty seasoning on the tomatoes, sweetness from the tomatoes, creaminess from the mozzarella, crunch from the toasted ciabatta, savoriness of the olive oil and basil. So simple, yet utter perfection. We split the spaghetti aglio e olio and a margherita pizza. Both were spectacular. The garlic was perfectly roasted and the pasta had just the right amount of heat from the chili pepper. Sauce on the pizza was heavenly. We ended with a lemon tiramisu -- cake was soaked in limoncello and custard was flavored with lemon. Out of this world. And on top of it all, Angelo himself was seated nearby, leading diners in a sing-along to some classic hits by Sinatra and Elvis. Incredible meal!

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. I will say that the crab was a lot of work, it was also a delicious crab. The squid ink pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.
