One knocked plaster off an inside wall from hammering on the outside. They slapped on some plaster to "Fix" it but it still looks bad. Replaced some recessed ceiling lights but one is still crooked and has a 1/2" open gap on one side. Had them do the recommended oil change a year later. Took 15 minutes and 1 qt of oil. Charged me $250.00. They labled the new box but the handwriting is so bad, nobody can read any of it. They left the old inlet sticking out of the roof.

This included painting kitchen cabinets, scraping/repainting 2 ceiling areas, and random "touch up" painting. Because he seemed CONFIDENT in doing ALL the work, I agreed to his contract. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF HIRING THIS OUT TOGETHER. In the end, the painting project was too changeling for their generalists. They didn't even have paint brushes or canvases. Also, I was in charge of matching the paint. I got little guidance and ended up buying paint that was never used. I should've known better -- never again will I hire general handyman for painting. I ended up paying $450 more to have real painters come out to finish. What a huge difference when the EXPERIENCED painter and dry-waller arrived. John ended up paying half because of everything that happened. I felt I shouldn't have paid anything more because it was in my original contract. But, I was stuck with unfinished work that looked bad. They really had the wrong skill set to paint what needed to be done. However, the 2 guys who hung the chandelier were electricians so that part went fine. Maybe they should stick to electrical.
