I was contesting the charge for a box that was not labeled for had a permit pulled from ACE Electric. Rewired came out - looked at the box and determined it was illegal and. And produced a bid of over $5000 - to over $6000. No where in the est did they say the words that my box was illegal. By omitting the words "illegal" I had no way to recover the cost I already paid. The omission was intentional and guaranteed that Rewired would not be considered. He could of just said when he was here "not interested. Winnegabo County refused to check any box when a permit was not pulled - this leaves me in a precarious position.

This included painting kitchen cabinets, scraping/repainting 2 ceiling areas, and random "touch up" painting. Because he seemed CONFIDENT in doing ALL the work, I agreed to his contract. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF HIRING THIS OUT TOGETHER. In the end, the painting project was too changeling for their generalists. They didn't even have paint brushes or canvases. Also, I was in charge of matching the paint. I got little guidance and ended up buying paint that was never used. I should've known better -- never again will I hire general handyman for painting. I ended up paying $450 more to have real painters come out to finish. What a huge difference when the EXPERIENCED painter and dry-waller arrived. John ended up paying half because of everything that happened. I felt I shouldn't have paid anything more because it was in my original contract. But, I was stuck with unfinished work that looked bad. They really had the wrong skill set to paint what needed to be done.
