Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the other recent reviews, I was pretty disappointed. Firstly, this isn't a great place to get an individual meal, the sandwiches are really your only option and it doesn't come with any sides. In fact, my chopped brisket "sandwich" was a small container full of meat and 2 slices of white bread stuck on top. I will say that it was enough meat for 2 sandwiches, but it wasn't very flavorful so that kind of defeated the point. The other options are big portions of meat that you would split with a family, and seemed a little expensive to me. The food was ok but the service was worst. The cook is messing up orders and getting frustrated with the young lady taking orders but he still has time to box with a friend outside of the truck. The young lady taking the orders was clearly frustrated and at her wits end and it showed in her service. I had never eaten at this truck before and felt as if I was prying for information when ordering. No matter the time of day, greet your customers and treat them with kindness. If you make a mistake, apologize and make it right. **Sidenote** Put the pickles on the side not on top of the meat, and/or ask the customer what they prefer. read more

The brisket was the store-bought pre-cooked kind that you can take home and fix up, but they didn't bother; the slices were thin and hard. We love any excuse to visit Ike's BBQ. The location is 30+ minutes from home (depending on traffic it can be more like 45) but we will make the trip in a heartbeat. Solid BBQ. Extremely far from where we live, but definitely appreciate that they're open until 2/4am. We were confused trying to navigate there, GPS will take you to a gas station. You actually need to drive past that gas station and it's off of the next street on the right. Good customer service and quick! A bit stingy with the sauce though, but ample meat is given. The meat the ribs fall of the bone , the boudin links are thick , the chicken is so damn juicy , the baked potatoes are fully loaded and when I mean loaded the meat is falling out the potato. I do NOT get the great reviews. Brisket was a bit smoky but definitely could use more smoke flavor. It was dry and over cooked. Ribs were moist and spoiled. The skin was damn near slick with skin having a wet like texture. They had no smoke flavor and definitely weren't fresh. They tasted like they were boiled or baked and then put on the pit for a brief moment and left out to spoil. I was disappointed by that bc I saw what I thought was a smoking pit and fresh wood being added. I don't understand why you would serve old food?? Unfortunately, I can't go back to try a sandwich bc it's meat with two pieces of bread on top. It's really hard to find consistently fresh, smoky, and tender bbq. I'm a brisket head and bbq is too expensive for this hit or miss ish. Ugh! Back to hibernation I go. We took back the ribs and the cashier (older fair skinned woman with accent) responded with "It happens a lot" when we said no worries, it happens. The new ribs were fresh but damn salty af!! We frequently see this BBQ stand on our way to Aldi on OST. We finally had a chance to stop and try it out. I was looking for a BBQ spot that puts its back and love into the food. Ike's surpassed my expectations!! I've never written a Yelp review before and I had to because it was so delicious. My roommate and I barely could make it home smelling the food in the car. We got home and immediately dug in which is why we couldn't even get a picture in! This is not the same BBQ spot. The people running it are in a new trailer that looks like a rental with Ike wrapping. It has a stove and a very small smoker in it that looks like it has never been used. The potato salad was straight out of HEB and the beans straight from a Bush's can. The BBQ (ribs and brisket) had no smoke flavor.....just baked with some BBQ sauce poured on top. I could have swore I saw the lady putting my order together taking it out of the microwave in front of the counter.
