I've heard so many people rave about the Swedish Meatballs served in IKEA's bistro. I'm not understanding the hype! I ordered a plate for €6 and it came with about 10 little meatballs, mashed potatoes (or fries), broccoli, and Swedish Meatball sauce. The meatballs were soft and didn't have much flavor, I'm pretty sure the mashed potatoes were instant (thick and sticky), and the broccoli was so overdone and soft, I couldn't pick it up on my fork without it disintegrating. Also, the serving of broccoli was very small. Overall, it lacked flavor. I'm glad I tried them as I've been wanting to do so for quite awhile -but I would not return to the bistro. There is very little selection of food and since this is a staple dish (with pre-frozen food), lack of flavor was not human error of today's preparers.
The staff were all friendly and there is a huge playing area for children if you have a family. As for eating at Ikea -follow the long line downstairs to the €1.50 hot dog and drink combo by the checkout. I believe this is where the expert IKEA navigators ln read more
