Ok, all the good things were already said, let's go directly to critics :)
Well i guess for mensa the level of food and service is quite all right, but there are some things which are (especially when you're not i a perfect mood) just annoying.
For example, potatoes which are always (or nearly always) not cooked enough. Maybe, it's healthier, but i'd still prefer to eat my potatoes without applying extra forces to cut them.
Another thing is different sauces how is it possible to make them sooo similar to one another??? And this is for years! I can understand: the same cook, but what about having a short look in google for some variety? The same true for goulash and, additionally, it is always so artificially intense in taste that one can't even recognize the taste of meat or turkey or whatever is inside.
Something more regarding variety. There is always a vegetarian stand well, that's just great, but what about those who need meat? Let's see a menu from one day: kartoffel taschen, fischrouladen and spätzle ehm ok, once again imbis with their glutamate sausages (why to even go to mensa for it?).
And nearly last but not least amount of food. Me and my lab are used to go to mensa around 13-14 (which is still included in working hours). So, why does it happen so often that food by this time is over? Sorry, if i come for a chicken leg and take 20 min qeue, i don't want to take in the last minute putenschnitzel (for the third time within one week). I can also understand, that it's hard to prepare something more tasty in bigger amounts. However, it is always possible to write in speiseplan: schweinebraten 11:00-13:00, scweineschnitzel 13:00-14:30. At least i would know what i'm going for (if at all).
Well, i think because of these things only 3 stars read more
