It is really dumb to have additional items past the checkout lane and have an extra checkout lane there for those items but have no one working... To further have closed lanes when you have an insane amount of people handled by a few. Open it all and keep people at the extra checkout, and if your customers have extra impulse items beyond the checkout - only to have to return to the back of the line because those items were not where intended and then close that extra checkout is stupid. Especially, after walking the facility and shopping for hours. It would be far better to have those items throughout the store and then at the checkout in the lanes for purchase.

Great place to hang out while you check out what furniture is needed at home. Ikea is known to have cheap price, easy to assemble, and somehow average lasting furniture The assembly of the furniture can be done by yourself most of the times as the steps are simple and the guides are very straightforward... Unless you are lazy and hire someone else to do it for you This store is organized, clean, a rat maze, and its staff are really helpful but scarce... While and after your shop experience, you may be able to enjoy some great and cheap food that this place can offer

Wow prices have really gone up at IKEA! Stopped in for a therapeutic browse and ended up visiting their cafe. Their offerings were slim as it was evening time but I must say their chicken tenders and fries were pretty good! Very clean surroundings. Their desserts looked like they were sitting out for a minute...so I opted for their version of a twix candy bar which was perfect! It was pretty empty so checkout was a breeze

Here are the pros and the cons of this IKEA in Elizabeth, NJ. First off,the location is located right down the block from a major Trucking Hub and it's extremely difficult to get in or out during the morning and around 3:30p in the afternoon. It's wall-to-wall tractor trailers who don't let you in,or let you out to leave. It's seems difficult to get in to the left lane to get on a major highway because they block the intersections. You possibly could sit there for awhile. There's never any cops to help manage the congestion. That being said, once in there's plenty of free parking. It's very kid friendly. This place is a gigantic warehouse. Stuffed animals in bins all over. IKEA also has shopping carts to walk around with. There's 2 floors and they have elevators. They can accommodate wheelchairs. The way they have it set up, you enter on one side of the building, and leave on the other side. In order to check out you must walk all the way around. The aisles are self checkout. It's a tremendous amount of walking so wear comfortable shoes. This IKEA has everything you could ever want for your home, bedroom, kitchen, and more. From dishes, pots & pans, organizational items, plants, furniture for the nursery, children's rooms, or adult's rooms. They have accessories to accompany them. They sell complete kitchens and have Kitchen items galore. They have Armoires of all kinds, shapes and sizes. Perfect for small apartment to big houses or large open spaces and lofts. They come in several colors. IKEA even sell frozen foods and bakery goods. There's a Food Court to order their famous Swedish Meatballs and other foods . ( I did not try any of their food .) You can eat in or take it out. You have a choice of either taking the furniture home with you if you have the right transportation or you can have it shipped for a fee. If you need it assembled, it can be arranged for another fee . The smaller items you can take right away. The staff was very friendly, one gentleman even walked us to the area that we were having a hard time finding. You place your order with a staff member they put it in the computer and give you a slip and then you go downstairs and pay. My boyfriend had his order shipped and it was delivered on the correct day and time as promised. I personally have some pieces of IKEA furniture for 20 years already. It's made very well for what it is. There was so much to see it's overwhelming. The best part about this IKEA is there's only 3% sales tax because it's considered a distressed area. If you're first starting out or need some reasonable things for your home, apartment, office, kitchen and more this is definitely the place to come. They have tons and tons of beautiful displays. Everything is priced just right.

My last review was a while ago. Nothing has changed. Still the same ol Ikea. Employees used to be everywhere but they're scarce now. Still willing to help and very friendly but you have to seek them out nowadays.

Man, these meatballs are so overrated. If I didn't get the combo that comes with mashed potatoes and gravy, I'd be dying from the salt content. They do have at least a nice texture with some char and crunch on the outside. Not sure why there's cranberry sauce. Do they think it's Thanksgiving? Where's the turkey? The mac and cheese had less cheese than flour and literally was super pasty and didn't have much flavor. Much like the furniture, it looks good in pictures, but not great quality in practice. I came a bit late so they were rushing to close up shop and even started turning off the soda machines. I think the sodas are the best tasting thing here. Pear soda is delicious and probably gives diabetes for how sweet it is. The cola tastes kind of weird, so I'd stay with the juices. I'll probably never eat at IKEA again, even if they have frozen meatballs to buy separately. Leave it to the Italians.

Food (4/5): Overall pretty good food. I enjoyed the meatball plate and the lemon crusted cod. I didn't like the Salmon because it was extremely dry and tough. I was surprised by this because we arrived around 10:15am when Ikea just opened and would've assumed the salmon would've been fresh. Also got the tenders plate which was pretty good. Service (5/5): The servers were friendly and helpful they also gave me a cup for water. No issues with the service and most people were friendly. The people in the store in general also seemed helpful. Ambiance (5/5): The store layout can be overwhelming initially but once you figure out that it's a bidirectional path for different sections, it ends up being better. It is a bit confusing and not like any other store. Overall though great ambiance, giant store, and amazing amount of options.

After taking care of some shopping in nearby jersey gardens mall my brother and I moseyed on over to Ikea for some grub. Man, was the cafeteria popping as we made a bee line to join the masses. We sprung for the daim cake- tasty enough, but sadly not as good as I remember. My bro got the classic meatballs and said they were good. I ordered the chicken tendies which were satisfactory for the price. The fries were solid albeit lukewarm, as was the rest of the food. Did not care for the peas, I feel like they're more decorative than tasty. The staff here, despite being completely inundated, were still customer service oriented. My brother and I paid for drinks but the coveted lingonberry and raspberry drinks were plain water and seltzer. After finishing our meals we braved the lines at the food court check-out to explain to the cashier our dilemma. She was understanding and called her supervisor over to process the refund for our taste-less drinks. She refunded the cost and told us that we can purchase the lingonberry syrup in the marketplace, which was nice to know.

I keep coming back here. It's so convenient and close to Jersey Garden mall, and many members of my immediate family like to come here occasionally to get Swedish meatballs. The foods could be more consistent. Some days food is excellent, and some days food is not. We went today, and the food was good. We love getting Swedish meatballs, and coffee is good here. You have to try it yourself to see food is good here. But store wise. No complains. They have all different furniture that you can easily set up and use. I also like to walk through this maze-like setup, I get a nice walking distance going through from beginning to end, and the view from the cafeteria is not bad either, you get to see the airport where you see airplanes take off and land.

First time at this IKEA location. Like traditional IKEA fashion, the store is laid out as a single pathway, giving you the opportunity to peruse through each display room and shopping section. You do have the option to make shortcuts if you please. I enjoyed my experience and spent just over 3 hours in there! I came for funzies and to grab a few house things. It was a busy Sunday though so it became crowded and often times overstimulating for me. With a bit of narrow space between aisles, I found it difficult to maneuver my cart (particularly downstairs) with all types of obstacles in the way. About halfway through the "path" you can find the cafeteria! Meticulously located so you get hungry on the way there, stop for yummy food and a drink, and then walk off to digest as you complete the store. For the price and experience, it was great. The menu is simple but has something for everyone, and prices are well worth it. Paid $25 to feed two hungry people. Not the best view from the cafeteria, but here and there you can catch a plane take off from EWR which is kinda cool. While it can get a little crazy inside with everyone running around, you just can't beat the unique magic that IKEA has to offer

No flashy signs or neon lighting; the name of the restaurant is simply painted on the side of the building, but hidden a bit by the umbrellas and outdoor seating. The vibe inside is chill. Tonight's playlist included Sza, Clairo, and Kali Uchis. Everyone in the restaurant appeared to be in their 20s and 30s. There was one waiter who also served as the host and bartender. Additional staff was preparing food in the back. The interior of Smør is small. It's like a café. There were three booths for four people each, three small metal tables for two people each, and the bar could seat four people on stools. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm. Several people came by and inquired about eating inside, but all that was left was exterior seating. I ordered the Danish hot dog. The remoulade was light and tasty, the onions were crunchy, and the pickles were fresh, but not sour. The hot dog had a great snap and the bread tasted homemade. Wonderful textures going on with this. I'd get it again. My husband got the Swedish meatballs. He said it was exactly what he wanted it to be. A great dish for a winter evening. The pancakes are amazing. Swimming in butter and topped with whipped cream and lingonberry sauce. The best thing I've tasted this month. If you come to Smør, get the pancakes; they were the best thing I've eaten this month."

My husband and I have been feeling a bit of Europe withdrawal lately, and Aska absolutely hit the spot. The ambiance, the precision, and the thoughtful pacing all brought us right back to the kind of refined dining experiences we've missed. The tasting menu was comprehensive and beautifully curated. Each course felt intentional and distinctive, yet the progression never felt overwhelming. While the meal wasn't rushed, it also didn't drag on endlessly -- the pacing struck that perfect balance, allowing us to savor each dish without fatigue. From start to finish, it was an incredible evening and a reminder of why special-occasion dining can be so memorable.

You'll enjoy the minimalistic chic decor, the open kitchen, the excellent service, and of course the food. Let's talk about that last part since you're going to spend a pretty penny if you go here. Like all tasting menus, there will be some variance although certainly there are some dishes that often are the "star" of the proverbial show. I'm not going to mention everything, but here is what stood out: Sea Oak: This is the first item we received, and it kind of looks like a colorful edible twig. There were purple and yellow hues and true to its name it tasted like a fresh dip in the sea. Apparently, they use algae and blue mussels to make this dish. It's fun and creative and a great start to your meal. Caviar: This one looked like a dark cupcake with the base made from kingfish and eel while the top was absolutely overflowing in what was clearly a super high end caviar (certainly memorable at least to me). This was a stunning visual with extraordinary taste. Claw: This dish looks nothing like a claw. Instead, rounded wheels resembling lotus root are flavored with rose and berry. Gently stuffed inside you will find langoustine claw meat. This had really strong Indian flavors and was highly enjoyable. Custard: This was like the Nordic version of chawanmushi except this savory custard was dollops of trout roe, seaweed, and exhibits a strong seafood broth flavor. Hake: This was the best preparation I've ever had of the fish. The sauce is somewhat indescribable to me, and yet what really stood out is the absolute perfect texture of the fish. The restaurant is fairly well know for their hake and it's easy to see why. Quail and Venison: Both of these dishes were well prepared meats that actually served as perfect boats for the incredible mushrooms accompanying both meats. After eating this dish, I could see why Aska is confident enough to boast a full vegetarian tasting menu. Those mushrooms were among the best items of this entire meal. Pear: I really hope they keep this on because this light pear dish accented with cardamom and copious amounts of butter was an absolute delight. Again, the dish exhibited relatively strong Indian flavors and may have been my favorite dish of the entire evening. Why not five stars? At this price point, I would expect every dish to hit and there were a couple that just didn't for me (not too many but a couple). It was probably a bit too seafood heavy for me and I think I prefer omakase if I'm going that route. I will say that the tasting menu, the service, and atmosphere are all wonderful and a worthy overall experience. I'm definitely glad I was able to visit.
