As usual, the check-out lines are ridiculously long... Love the store, hire more cashiers for the main check-out and returns. You just lost a sale because of it. Sad. read more

Don't try to schedule deliveries with this store! They use some company called Urban Express that is so incompetent and unreliable that you can forget about getting your items the same day even if you live within the distance and place your order before 3 PM. We bought a mattress today to have it delivered same day, and after spending hours on the phone with IKEA reps and Urban Express we learn that t we should expect it in TWO days! Just horrible. read more

I'd rather use dumpster scraps for furniture than deal with this place again. I've been ordering from Ikea in Brooklyn for years and never had any issues, even with enormous orders for furnishing my entire home. I placed a straight forward order from Conshohocken and boy did they screw it up! They delivered a sofa cover for a sofa I don't have and forgot a table and a chair. The delivery estimate was a week off (I know what the word "estimate" means, but a week late when the delivery estimate is two weeks? A three week wait for furniture is ridiculous.) I wont even get into how awful the delivery service (XPO logistics) was. Thankfully nothing I ordered was breakable! Every box was crushed, filthy, and some even had muddy footprints all over them. Unacceptable. Imagine muddy boxes sliding across your newly renovated apartments crisp white carpet. *Insert internal screaming here* I had to call customer service (an hour on hold) because they forgot the chair and table, and now it's two weeks after the first delivery and I'm still missing things I purchased 5 weeks ago. I could have chopped down a tree and built the stuff from scratch faster than this. I called today to find out where the stuff is (15 minute hold) and they tell me it's going to be ANOTHER week. On top of that they said the replacement order is for TWO tables and the chair. Two tables? You already gave me a free sofa cover, now you're giving me a free table? I don't want your free furniture!!!! I just want what I paid for in a reasonable amount of time! Do I believe when the rest of my order is delivered that it's going to be what I ordered? Am I actually getting two tables and a complete chair? Or will I get some random surprise? Perhaps the sofa that the free cover is for? Is it actually going to be delivered this week? Only time will tell. read more

Horrible, rude customer service, particularly from the woman in the Småland kids area. The cashier wouldn't honor a sales price advertised in the store, and I had to order online and come back to get the correct price. Nothing but hassles and quite a few hostile employees. Not worth it. read more

Gave IKEA one star because I wanted to buy a bedroom set and walked out without one. The reason being their "disorginized" way of buying anything. Following the arrows on the floor which will take you through every department in the extremely large building, I eventually got to the furniture dept. The male salesperson ignored me 4 times while he ran to other customers. One of his interests was the typical Mr & Mrs with the 2 teens. . He told them to make their parents proud and get good grades in school. Just the kind of advice that is expected from a saleman. I can only guess that males without female attached to them were considered "poor buyers." Finally, a female salesperson came over to me and asked if she could help. I was starting to think that I was invisible. Now for the really bizzare part--Picked out the furniture which she put into the computer, out comes the form. Then she tells me to pick up the boxes myself and take them to the check-out. WHAT??? Guess I'm showing my age, I dunno. Just not my way of buying furniture. read more

Worst in-store customer service ever. The "coworkers" are not willing to help you out. The lady who was supposed to look for a product, which they should have 18 in stock according to the website, never got back to us during our 30-minute wait. A guy who we asked for help after kept saying "there should be someone to help you at the desk" when we repeatedly told him that we saw no one at the desk. read more

I do not recommend Ikea stores or online. They overcharge with all the fees and delivery even on big purchases and of course charge for return delivery and tax. It is difficult to resolve an issue on the phone with them. Time consuming and other stores are much cheaper and better. You need one full day to resolve something on the phone. Even for the paid delivery & pick up you wait 1 week or more to have it picked up. read more

I ordered a PAX wardrobe on line in May with a deliver date of June 24. The day before I called Costumer Service and the order tracking looked like nothing was happening. After 30 minutes on the phone I was told my order was on hold. If I hadn't called I would have been sitting, waiting for an order that wasn't coming. We cancelled the two items that were on back order and my order was to proceed with a new delivery date of July 8 (tomorrow). Today I called again as the order tracking was wonky. I was on hold for over an hour (I am not kidding) Nope, not happening, still being "picked" and no clues when it will be delivered. At no time did Ikea initiate communication to tell me my items were not arriving as scheduled and the order tracking on line is laughable. Once I receive this item..someday... it will be the lat time I darken Ikea's door, on line or in store. Their order fulfillment and customer service are horrid. read more

The restaurant is very very bad my food has a hair that's was very nasty I almost throughout never came in back to this place

not sure how anyone could hate on ikea. its the best furniture store in the world. cheap prices. quality products. if you have an issue or missing a part, they'll replace it. ikea has never let me down. design is always stylish and modern. the design team at ikea is great. best part about ikea? the food court. been walking around all day shopping? end it or take a break with some delicious swedish meatballs. amazing. read more

I went here to purchase a closet system for my house, and my experience became a bad one ever since I walked though the door. The employees here are not helpful at all, and nobody knows what they're talking about. The lady inside the door made us walk though the entire showroom, even though we already knew exactly what we needed to purchase from the self serve area. Once getting to the self serve area with our list, we went through, grabbed the boxes we needed that were on the designated shelf, and proceeded to checkout. The cashier didn't scan each box, which caused a difference in price. After we got home, we realized the boxes we bought weren't even the right ones! The stock employees didn't put the right boxes in the designated place, so we had to drive an hour back to exchange. We waited an hour and 15 minutes just to return the 3 boxes that were initially incorrect. Since the cashier didn't scan the right boxes, it was hard to even return it because they weren't correctly on the receipt as they should have been. Then we had to wait in the checkout line for another hour just to purchase the correct items. Needless to say, I will never go back to this store again, and don't recommend this location at all! read more

Great customer service and the staff helped me find the TRÅDFRI Smart Lights. Food was alright but not as good as usual.

Love this place. Got all the furniture I wanted, as well as things I never knew I needed

I've always had great experience shopping at this ikea but please be careful as the sale price always doesn't come up at the register and have to pay attention .i shop at this place and after the cashier rang my items and I paused for it I realized that I was overcharged when I brought it up to the cashier she simply refer me to returns as I had to go to return section and take a number and waited about 1/2 Hr to return my items .I value for my time and never wanted to spend my Sunday morning waiting for a mistake that they could have taken care of at the first register .their return department need some serious updating with the process .Uts funny that they even have couches for people to sit and wait for a long time as ikea have no respect for people time . read more

Understaffed. Always. Their workers are nice and helpful as can be but when it comes to efficiency from the checkout area, furniture pickup, customer service, etc. IKEA management (or management's management or maybe the President of the Netherlands) simply drops the ball. I've wasted away hours of my life at IKEA. And yet... I keep coming back for the budget conscious, half decent furniture. Even when they short their deliveries or force me to memorize each and every picture of that days Instagram feed while sitting on a not-so-comfy IKEA bench. If only their approach to service and checkout could match the planning that goes into their puzzle piece particle board panels!! read more

Who doesn't love cheap furniture? I mean, yes... most of it is made from particle board and won't last 5-10 years but hey, it looks good and it's cheap. The greatest thing I love is that it is so kid-friendly. I mean, kids can be in any department and you really don't have to worry if they're going to be bored while you're looking around. They have strategically placed puzzle boards in some areas and then you've got the whole kids section right by the upstairs restaurant area... Genius! We've spent quite a few days there this summer when temps were too high outside to play. It kept the kids entertained and our sanity intact. Thank you, Ikea! read more

Where are the EV Car Chargers?!? I recently moved and needed new some furnishings. Decided we would try IKEA. Did a quick google search and opted for the Conshohocken store given that it is next door to Corporate HQ which might add a little pressure to be top notch. Also chose this store over other area stores because I believed it had EV car charging stations as announced in their press release from 2003. This was widely spread across the internet to help add to their green/sustainable mystique. http://www.csrwire.com/press_releases/35845-IKEA-to-Grow-Presence-of-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Stations-with-Units-at-8-More-Locations-Extending-Reach-Beyond-the-Western-U-S- No such luck as we drove around the lot and garage, No EV charging anywhere except the publicity hype. But what I did find was 110v outlets all over the garage. I plugged in and went shopping. While I lost in the center of the maze inside I overheard a page listing my car. I immediate dialed customer care as directed and received a rude message that I needed to unplug immediately. I agreed and explained to the "facilities rep" that we came here under the impression they had chargers. He stated he's never heard of it at any Ikea store(with attitude) and those outlets weren't set up for car charging just cell phones. We then proceeded to negotiate our way out of what felt like the center of the store, took a longtime. During this time we heard 4 more pages from the same guy even though we told him were on our way. On approach to the car we noticed 2 uniformed managerial employees and one jacketed bystander next to my car. The NON uniformed guy immediately began telling me to unplug while I was already on my way to do so. One of them stated their reason was a fire hazard, another stated grid surge might damage my car, and the third the power the car's pulling is too much for the grid. As I complied and unplugged, I explained that the charging system was designed for these concerns and that the New Green Ikea had a press release from 2013 that they were installing at this location. The three stated they never heard of such a thing and they also new of no Ikea's with EV charging. At the end of the exchange the non uniformed guy sarcastically said "We thank you for going green". I was annoyed to say the least. Why was I confronted by three people at my car after agreeing to unplug with facilities rep via phone? Why were these three digging for argument/justification points after I agreed to unplug? I guess at the public marketing level Ikea is solar/sustainable forest/ev charging supporting but at the "real" grass roots level their local employees are unaware and obstructive. Do better guys. BTW, The furniture is great, sales reps helpful, and it's packed with great deals. read more

I loved IKEA until recently I went shopping and think I've met the most awful employee ever, in retail. This maybe 30y/o lady had a terrible attitude, turned me away. I would never shop at IKEA again, unless it was online. I'm an African-American woman, and this lady was also African-American, so completely not race related, I only describe her in hopes management will pull her aside or notice. I don't remember her name, but she wore a big, long, blond wig. Unprofessional and spoke to me as if we were in a nightclub. I should've complained right then, but I was too excited to get out of the store and never return. Very unprofessional, and an embarrassment to the company, I used to furnish my home, on many occassions. read more

This is the fourth or fifth IKEA location I've been in and this is by far my least favorite. The dining location is huge, however; the service is not comparable to other locations and the tables were clearly not bused in hours. Parking was simple and in a garage which I appreciated. I think the layout of the store was consistent with the other locations I have been at, but it was clear that displays were not up-kept. read more

Quite possible the worst checkout system I the continental US. It's so long, always. All lines are never open despite a plethora of staff. The maze in the market place that forces you along a path that's too tight and jammed is the 2nd most annoying behind the checkout system. Staff and store are nice and clean. No other issues but the checkout system is An easy fix. Managers? Are you listening? read more

Who cares that Ikea has good swedish meatballs?! We all know that their furniture is not sturdy and you get what you pay for. We bought the Hemnes bed for my 12 yr old son. My 8 year old son broke it by jumping on it with his friend. The box spring fell through, and one of those funky screws broke. I replaced that screw, took out the side rails, and placed a standard metal bed frame inside the wood frame. It is better than new. Either do that, or make sure you buy that extra middle rail, which wasn't available when I was there. I hate all Ikea stores: nobody is ever there to help, you get lost, and you can't find what you like in the warehouse. read more

Love love love Ikea!! I just wish there was a bus without transfers that traveled from CC directly to Ikea

If you are looking for average quality furniture for decent prices, then this is the place to check out. A lot of their stuff tends to be of the more modern style, but for certain rooms of the house, it's good enough. Over the years, we have gotten some furniture here for the kids playroom and some home accessories like lamps, mirrors, kitchenware, etc., from their marketplace. The furniture that we've purchased here has held up fairly well. I do recall it being a bit difficult to put together, but it's survived seven years of kids so far and still looks in pretty good shape (admittedly my two boys aren't overly rough on stuff though). We have purchased things here that when we got them home, just didn't put together well and we ended up returning them. We do like some of the live plants they sell in the marketplace in addition to things like their cutting boards, glass jars, etc. We don't come here that often, but when we do, we rarely walk out empty handed. This is a huge store that's a bit of a pain to get too. I actually liked their old location better. They do have a child watch area and as long as your kid is at least 37" tall without shoes, you can drop them off there while you do your shopping. Otherwise, if you have little ones in toe, keep a close eye on them, as you could easily lose them in this store! read more

It's IKEA - there's not a whole lot to say. Tons of stuff, relatively cheap, yada yada. Main complaint - the lines for checkout. Seriously, 35+ lanes available, Saturday evening - they have 7 lanes open, each about 25 shoppers deep. Has happened multiple times. I have considered walking out and just leaving my cart full of items sitting there but the hubs is a good line vulture and manages to swoop in quickly when they finally open another aisle. So aggravating. read more

Please do not subject yourself to this awful consumer experience, horrendous customer service, terrible product installation, poor quality assurance, and a total disregard for customers' time and money. I will not go further into detail because I simply do not have any more energy to lend to this scam of business. However, I feel it totally necessary to warn anyone that is contemplating using IKEA for anything other than a plant, to please reconsider. Just try to call their customer service line and it will verify what a complete joke this company truly is. This is our first time to go Ikea. Show room is great feels like i want to buy everything but we know what to buy cabinet and bed for our teenager. We easily find what we our looking for. Some of the people in the showroom are not that friendly (maybe they are in a hurry to go home for Christmas). One guy help us very nice. Are done in no time printed out all the items we wanted. Problem came when we are in the warehouse. A lot of attendant just chatting to each other and make faces when we ask for help (every poor customer service). We "almost" got what we wanted (wishful thinking) but we cant find the bed head board. We ask for help and 2 guys just look up and said oh we dont have that. Hope there is coordination on the showroom and warehouse that when they printed those items we wanted they can tell if the ITEM is not in stock. Now we have to go back. Spend the extra time and drive to Philly, much more worth your time and money. Here, the service is consistently bad with workers that don't know the products. Great cafeteria food, at very reasonable prices.

This post will focus on their terrible customer service at this branch. (Didn't have the food here though know its good at other branches, and of course the furniture offerings are the same as other branches. I have enjoyed the experience at the Philadelphia IKEA and have generally been a happy customer previously.) We initially went to our closest IKEA in Philadelphia, but because the item we wanted was out of stock, we went to the Conshohocken store. We saw in the computer that the item was in stock, and were able to pay for it, and were told that it would be in the furniture pick up area. You can imagine that all this took a fair bit of time and standing in lines. Because it was extremely busy, we asked if we could come back later and the staff was supportive of that idea. So we went to another neighboring store for about an hour, came back and saw that the item was in the "ready for pickup" cue on the monitor, and then went upstairs to look at one other item in the IKEA. When we came back down and got to the front of the line to pick it up, we were told that the item was actually not in their stock (or they couldn't find it), and there was nothing they could do. We were speaking to the manager of customer service Diedra, who gave a very insincere apology, blamed us for leaving the area so they couldn't tell us this earlier, and seemed completely disinterested in righting the situation in any way with a coupon or any other discount, not even a symbolic gesture. We asked to speaker to her manager, so we talked to the store manager, who also did not have any ideas on how to make things better. We (not they) offered the idea of buying the floor model with the As-Is discount, suggesting that usually the floor models go for 50% off; they (seemingly begrundgingly) agreed, but said they could not commit to the level of discount. I get that they are not the authorities to price the As-Is section, but the manner in which they communicated this and basically stated they had no interest in even trying to suggest a discount was adding to our frustration. The piece of furniture was unbolted from the display, and the As-Is section manager immediately priced it at 50% off. Despite some minor difficulty with the label and spending more time trying to get the item to ring up in order to pay for it, we finally did and were ready to dissamble it to go home. When we went to grab what we thought was an empty box next to where the unit was displayed, we found that there was indeed a boxed version sitting there (albeit a different color). We found this to show to Diedra, who responded by basically saying 'well I already apologized, there isn't anything else I can do.' I get that there can be inventory mistakes. That part is frustrating, but hey it happens. I am not even one who believes that the customer is always right. But the utter disregard the customer service department has to serving the customers is pretty absurd. There are really easy ways to make customers feel heard and valued (don't blame the customer for your inventory issues,' at least try to make your apologies sound sincere; even a $10 cafeteria voucher can be something to offer wronged customers and basically be free to you - better than absolutely nothing). it shouldn't be up to the customers to come up with ideas (ie in this case, buy the store model). I am surprised that such a large branch (the headquarters in fact!) does not have better training in customer service, or selection process for their managers. Everyone else in the store - the As-Is manager, the cashier, the woman who helped unbolt the floor model - was great and perfectly nice. It was the customer service department that was The Worst at customer service. read more
